I contacted Sam with the possibility of turning a very small alcove in my lounge to an office area with shelving, pull out desk and doors in which you could close it off when not in use. He understood exactly what I wanted and has built the most amazing, solid desk and shelving units. It looks so much better than I thought possible. Sam was quick and efficient. Sam fitted 11 very tricky internal doors as all were different sizes and needed trimming down. Extremely reliable, decently priced and did a great job when we kept getting let down by other joiners.

Sam built & fitted a new gate with code lock which is absolutely brilliant. He also fitted garden trellis to an outside wall which looks super. He's a lovely guy & his work is really high quality. Would highly recommend!

Mark came recommended to us and thank goodness he did. He made the planning and fit of our new kitchen hassle free. Mark did a fantastic job from start to finish. He coordinated everything I needed to make my kitchen perfect. He gave great advice, kept in regular touch, turned up on time. He sorted out glitches with bits of the kitchen that needed replacement (the kitchen company’s fault not his) and was really professional. I now have the kitchen I’ve always wanted. I’d recommend Hawthorn Joinery in a heartbeat and will definitely ask them to help with future work that needs doing.

Extremely pleased with everything done by Mark. First class work fitting new kitchen cabinets and worktops. He made another bespoke cabinet to match. He fitted a water heater and sink with their associated plumbing. Refitted washing machine and dishwasher. Considerable care was taken to ensure everything aligned; including fitting the worktops against an uneven wall. Coordinated and arranged for an electrician to install new power cables. Everything done was to the highest standards. A reliable, honest, pleasant and very hard working kitchen fitter. Highly recommended.

Andy and Ryan have actually done two jobs for us: first they replaced an old conservatory with a small extension, then we were so happy with their work that we asked them back to do a full two-storey extension. Both times they've been extremely helpful, accommodating, professional, given very competitive quotes, and worked very hard to an excellent standard. They're genuinely nice guys who care about their work and they've both been great in terms of flexibility too, e.g. Andy did some extra joinery work in one of our bedrooms and supplied and fitted new internal doors which weren't in the original plan, and Ryan came back after our extension was built to install our utility room cupboards, including working on the weekend to get it done it time. We also really appreciated their advice on various occasions where we were stuck deciding details of the build. We couldn't recommend them enough, and would happily have them back for a third job if we had one!

From the moment of meeting Andy to price our job we knew we would be in good hands and couldn't wait to start our extension. From start to finish both Andy and Ryan just couldn't do enough. There was no such things as a 'silly question' and all our ideas were taken on board and they could be achieved they were but if not Andy and Ryan could come up with an alternative or something generally better. I have never met more professional, friendly, hard working trading men. We were actually sad to see them leave when the build was done. Ryan did return though to fit our new kitchen, which was again done with an eye for detail and treated just like it was his own kitchen being fitted. Words truly can't describe how happy we are with our extension and kitchen, it's now our favourite room. We are thrilled with all of the work Andy, Ryan and his team carried out at our property. Andy supported us through the whole process, beginning at the planning stage. Andy & Ryan extended and reconfigured our house in the later half of 2022. We are extremely happy with the results. They are easy to work with and helped us through all stages of the process from designing and planning what we wanted through to completion. They handled it all, or knew someone who would. It doesn’t hurt that they are also very friendly and helpful people anyway. We were particularly impressed by their flexibility and dedication. They were able to respond quickly to the changes we imposed on them, they performed some jobs that were not part of the original specifications (at a reasonable extra cost, of course) and they kept to our original timetable. Working weekends and overtime when necessary. We have already used them for other jobs, and will do again.

Alpeng is a brilliant handyman in every sense. Works briskly but with great attention to detail; very courteous and considerate; follows the brief accurately; and is reasonably priced. So far he’s built a playhouse to a high standard (when he offered to go above and beyond to improve my paving base too) and done a number of handyman tasks like mounting a TV, installing curtain rails and shelves. Top marks!

I first saw Jon’s work in the form of cheese platters at Sarah’s Yard in Urmston. Had a look on his instagram and saw the Solid oak bath boards he makes, which the wife is delighted with. Then asked him to make a solid oak TV remote holder and we love it... no more lost remotes! He’s also going to fit some cabinets and shelves in our lounge alcoves. Top quality woodwork and definitely recommended.

Jon Peake’s carpentry is second to none. He has crafted numerous bespoke timber enhancements to our home, and they are all executed with impeccable attention to detail. Whether installing a new door; delightfully finishing our nursery with bespoke wood wall panelling; designing and creating cupboards and shelves to complement a new fireplace; or the pièce de résistance, a herringbone Walnut table with matching bench. Jon Peake is not only a master craftsman, but a delight to work with, combining technical expertise with personality and charisma.

We saw some of Jon's tables and really liked the irregular-shaped yew tables - Jon was really responsive and found us a really interestingly-textured piece of wood. The craftsmanship is excellent - it sits completely steady and doesn't rock at all, which is especially impressive given its unusual shape. We're really happy with the table and would recommend his furniture to anyone who is looking for a bespoke design made to a very high standard for a reasonable price.

Would highly recommend John attention to detail from planning and listening to our needs was excellent he respected the environment nothing too much trouble to him turned our 70s bedroom into 2025 definitely will be calling on him again for future projects.
