I would highly recommend Manchester Carpentry. I recently had underfloor heating installed and needed the manifold to be boxed in to stop it getting damaged and to make the area look tidier. Arj responded quickly, came out to measure promptly and gave me a competitive quote. The work was done within a week to a high standard. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Manchester Carpentry again for any future work.

I first saw Jon’s work in the form of cheese platters at Sarah’s Yard in Urmston. Had a look on his instagram and saw the Solid oak bath boards he makes, which the wife is delighted with. Then asked him to make a solid oak TV remote holder and we love it... no more lost remotes! He’s also going to fit some cabinets and shelves in our lounge alcoves. Top quality woodwork and definitely recommended.

Jon Peake’s carpentry is second to none. He has crafted numerous bespoke timber enhancements to our home, and they are all executed with impeccable attention to detail. Whether installing a new door; delightfully finishing our nursery with bespoke wood wall panelling; designing and creating cupboards and shelves to complement a new fireplace; or the pièce de résistance, a herringbone Walnut table with matching bench. Jon Peake is not only a master craftsman, but a delight to work with, combining technical expertise with personality and charisma.

We saw some of Jon's tables and really liked the irregular-shaped yew tables - Jon was really responsive and found us a really interestingly-textured piece of wood. The craftsmanship is excellent - it sits completely steady and doesn't rock at all, which is especially impressive given its unusual shape. We're really happy with the table and would recommend his furniture to anyone who is looking for a bespoke design made to a very high standard for a reasonable price.

Ben fitted some in built alcove cupboards in our clinic, his work is exceptional, he's efficient, a perfectionist and everything was spot on even down to cleaning up afterwards. I would highly recommend Ben for all your joinery needs!!

We previously worked with Phil in our old house and were pleased with his work so got him for our current renovation too. Phil designed and built us an alcove cupboard and shelf and the finish is brilliant. He gave us advice on style including handles and there was good communication throughout. Phil built two lecterns for us to use at Graduation ceremonies, he was extremely detailed and great at communicating to ensure that the design and build was exactly what we needed. Phil is both an excellent craftsman and a great communicator. He sticks to his word, delivers on time, makes sure everything is understood and the customer is happy and will not cut corners - a true professional with attention to detail and a passion for his craft. We tasked him with a complex, multifaceted, awkward cabinet build. Aside from all the normal challenges of fitting fridge cvabinets into a tight space, we also had to run our business around the work schedule and the cabinet doors had a complex cnc pattern on the front that continued across all faces meaning very little room for error or trimming. Phil fitted everything perfectly and got all patterns to line perfectly. Phil is a rare gem, can't recommend highly enough.

I had the design in my head, I went to his workshop (gorgeous woody smell) with off cuts of oak (recycling important), Phil brought my design to life, used my off cuts and crafted a tactile, strong, elegant frame ready for me to upholster. We’ve just had Dan sort out damaged flooring on our landing and refurbish kitchen worktops. He did a superb job, arrived when he said he would and was a pleasure to have in the house (he’s dog friendly). I’d recommend him to anyone needing joinery skills and I’m sure we’ll be using him again.
