Andy and Ryan have actually done two jobs for us: first they replaced an old conservatory with a small extension, then we were so happy with their work that we asked them back to do a full two-storey extension. Both times they've been extremely helpful, accommodating, professional, given very competitive quotes, and worked very hard to an excellent standard. They're genuinely nice guys who care about their work and they've both been great in terms of flexibility too, e.g. Andy did some extra joinery work in one of our bedrooms and supplied and fitted new internal doors which weren't in the original plan, and Ryan came back after our extension was built to install our utility room cupboards, including working on the weekend to get it done it time. We also really appreciated their advice on various occasions where we were stuck deciding details of the build. We couldn't recommend them enough, and would happily have them back for a third job if we had one!

From the moment of meeting Andy to price our job we knew we would be in good hands and couldn't wait to start our extension. From start to finish both Andy and Ryan just couldn't do enough. There was no such things as a 'silly question' and all our ideas were taken on board and they could be achieved they were but if not Andy and Ryan could come up with an alternative or something generally better. I have never met more professional, friendly, hard working trading men. We were actually sad to see them leave when the build was done. Ryan did return though to fit our new kitchen, which was again done with an eye for detail and treated just like it was his own kitchen being fitted. Words truly can't describe how happy we are with our extension and kitchen, it's now our favourite room. Andy & Ryan extended and reconfigured our house in the later half of 2022. We are extremely happy with the results. They are easy to work with and helped us through all stages of the process from designing and planning what we wanted through to completion. They handled it all, or knew someone who would. It doesn’t hurt that they are also very friendly and helpful people anyway. We were particularly impressed by their flexibility and dedication. They were able to respond quickly to the changes we imposed on them, they performed some jobs that were not part of the original specifications (at a reasonable extra cost, of course) and they kept to our original timetable. Working weekends and overtime when necessary. We have already used them for other jobs, and will do again.

Andy and Ryan have been the builders I’d always hoped to find before we started our two-story side extension. We’ve lived near and walked past lots of extensions that took months longer than they should. Where people were lazing off every time you walk past. From the start Andy gave us a solid time frame and worked overtime to keep to it as much as possible. My wife and I aren’t always the easiest clients, sometimes asking for alterations during the job, and these were always acted upon and carried out to very high standards. This is all in addition to being one of the most competitive quotes we received. A great, friendly, helpful father and son duo with an army of tradesmen in all areas that, over the years, they have amassed from trusted, high-quality workers. Can’t recommend them enough. I contacted Sam with the possibility of turning a very small alcove in my lounge to an office area with shelving, pull out desk and doors in which you could close it off when not in use. He understood exactly what I wanted and has built the most amazing, solid desk and shelving units. It looks so much better than I thought possible. Sam was quick and efficient. Alpeng is a brilliant handyman in every sense. Works briskly but with great attention to detail; very courteous and considerate; follows the brief accurately; and is reasonably priced. So far he’s built a playhouse to a high standard (when he offered to go above and beyond to improve my paving base too) and done a number of handyman tasks like mounting a TV, installing curtain rails and shelves. Top marks!

My experience with this team was excellent. I asked for a bespoke fire surround with quite a specific look. The finished job is better than I’d hoped for. I am very happy with the work from Shelterstone Carpentry. Karl was a top joiner, he fixed my sliding door that was poorly fitted by another contractor. Given the bad condition of the existing door, he did a great job and now it looks so much better. The workers were competent and professional.

Jaque did an excellent job, making and fitting two cabinets on either side of the fireplace. He totally grasped my brief ('Victorian but not too fussy') and got the style just right. He was also very inventive when it came to providing neat, concealed entrances and exits for various wires. He carried out the fitting very professionally and was exceptionally tidy, friendly and polite. Highly recommended.

Honestly can't thank Jaque and his team enough, bespoke joinery work is expensive wherever you go to, so I made sure we checked TJS's work out before hand. They had nothing but glowing reviews everywhere, their work they completed in our house goes to show why. The communication with them from the start was professional, straight forward and really easy going. From the start of the job being completed, they think of everything in terms of ensuring your house is protected whilst the work is complete, they are willing to go the extra mile also which really matters to us. I will post some work they did for us, the first two were planned jobs (bespoke landing cupboards for wasted space storage and to cover the boiler) & (Bespoke shaker style cupboards to fit the room) and we were that happy with them, we came back to them to make us a bespoke bedside draw/table for our small farm style cottage house. I’ve been really impressed with Tailored Joinery Solutions. We had this bespoke staircase designed, made and fitted replacing the old Victorian style spindles and we are really happy with the work. Jaque is very professional, reliable and good at communicating and is quick and tidy with his work. He has also fitted a new PVC front door, several oak doors, new window pains that had blown, and we have booked him to fit a new kitchen, so as you can see he has been back a few times!! I would highly recommend him.
