Sam and the team have just completed our garage conversion and we're really happy with the finished result, it's exactly what we wanted. Sam has made the process straight forward and stress free from the start. He has been really communicative, professional and organised. He has a great attention to detail, as do the rest of the team, every single element was well considered! The finished work is of a high quality and better than we could have imagined. The whole team were really lovely and a pleasure to have around! We'd highly recommend S R Bell Carpentry and wouldn't hesitate to use them again for any future projects!

I couldn’t speak highly enough of Sam and his team in the completion of our garage conversion. Sam was thorough throughout from the initial quotation to organising all the workmen needed, it really felt like such an easy process with him guiding us through. There were no hidden costs, we paid exactly what was quoted. Sam and Ben were extremely polite and friendly and always involved us in decision making with the build. The standard of the work is absolute quality and I would not hesitate to use again for any other jobs we may require. The kids love their new playroom, thankyou so much!

Sam, the Ben's and the rest of Sam's merry men have done an OUTSTANDING job of our very complicated conversion! Not the easiest garage conversion, having a wedge shaped detached garage that needed to be bought forward to attach to the main house, taking off the leaking flat garage roof and replacing it with a pitched roof that needed to join to the main house... and not to mention the different ground levels involved!!! Sam was spot on with his communication, his attention to detail was second to none as were the rest of his team. They were courteous to have around (and I kinda miss making them brews and stocking up the biscuit tin)! In all, we are absolutely thrilled with the result and cannot recommend S R Bell Carpentry and Building enough!

Sam and his team undertook a garage conversion for us and replaced some internal doors. They did an excellent job and the quality of workmanship is first class. Sam coordinated the various tradespeople brilliantly and the work was carried out within the stated timescales. The team are polite, courteous, professional, hard-working, and very tidy and punctual. We're delighted with the finished outcome and Sam and his team are highly recommended.

Andy refurbished our staircase. It looks amazing and we are so pleased that we went with AP Joinery and property maintenance. You can tell Andy takes pride in his work just from looking at all of the finishes. He is very skilled as a joiner and clean worker. Would 100% recommend to anyone considering having similar work done.

Can highly recommend Andy's work having recently had him complete a second job at our property. Andy is well organised, easy to discuss ideas with and executes his work tidily and to a high standard. We now have integrated storage in our bedroom, in addition to the fantastically crafted bespoke seating and storage unit built into our living room a couple of years previously - and will certainly book Andy again in future for similar projects.

Andy completed a number of items in our house - boxing in pipes, new skirting boards and architraves, new internal doors and (most impressively) custom made and fitted 4 cupboard doors out of MDF to match the internal doors. Highly recommend.

Can’t recommend this guy highly enough. He is a talented craftsman/joiner who takes pride in his work no matter how big or small. His work spans traditional and contemporary designs and each job is carried out with care and expertise. He made a neat contemporary staircase for my welsh cottage and I am highly delighted with it. Doug has been recommended to us and what a breath of fresh air he is! He is lovely to deal with, friendly and approachable. His work is exemplary. His attention to detail is phenomenal and it is so refreshing to meet a contractor who arrives on time, who doesn't want to eat his lunch until he feels he's reached a "suitable cut off point" and who would stay late and get it right rather than rush his work and have to compromise on the finish. Doug is currently making a replica Victorian front door and frame for us which has a lot of detail and will have stained glass panels. It was good to be able to discuss different ideas and designs and we are very excited to see the finished article. He is a "craftsman" in the true sense of the word and his rates are extremely reasonable given his expertise and the quality of his work. We really cannot recommend him highly enough. Doug has done quite a few jobs for us over the last 30 years or so including a loft conversion, book cases, new kitchen and fitted bedroom units to name but a few. All have been done to the highest possible standard and I have no hesitation in recommending him apart from it may make it harder for us to to get him for anymore work we need doing.

It can be a challenge to find a genuinely good tradesperson nowadays, but I have had my faith restored with these folks completely renovating our kitchen with Howdens. Tom is not only a brilliant, experienced joiner, but also does a fab project management job. All of the other trades he organised were on time, pleasant and did a great job, as well as keeping the work site tidy. Customer service also great - every question answered, communication prompt, friendly and understanding. I will be coming back to Abacus for future work and I highly recommend others do the same. 👏🏻

Gareth fitted 6 internal doors at my home today absolutely perfect, a lovely guy ,hard working very professional. I am very fussy and if a job is worth doing do it well Gareth certainly did he knows his profession he even cleaned up when he had finished. I reached out to Haigh Joinery after being extremely disappointed with a previous joiner who was recommended to me. I made an enquiry about having some internal doors hung, Gareth came back to me the same day and was extremely friendly from the get go and offered advice and was very competitively priced. We booked in for the following week and I can honestly say I am over the moon with the results! I was expecting 7 doors to be hung over a period of 2 days but credit to Gareth he did all 7 in one day! Personally I found Gareth to be extremely friendly and helpful throughout and gave some great advice on other renovations I am looking to have done in the next 12 months. Contacted Mike to provide a quote for some internal wooden doors. He came down and measured up and gave us a trade book to look through. Really nice guy, very knowledgeable and professional. He gave us a quote which was really well priced. He fitted us in after a few weeks later and got 6 internal doors fitted along with hinges, locks and handles. He completed the job whilst we were in work so he is very trustworthy. The work was completed to a very high standard. He is very tidy and took time to clean up. I would 100% recommend using Mike for any joinery needs and would go to him again if I needed anything in the future. Top bloke. Thanks again 👍🏼

So good, we've had him twice!! A good tradesman is hard to find when it comes to knowledge, capability, enthusiasm for the job, and value for money. Mike delivers on all these areas, and discusses each stage of the project to deliver (in my experience) beyond what you would expect. I have had Mike in my house twice this year. Once on a major refurbishment project, which transformed the core section of the house : Hallway / Stairs / Landing, and included : completely replacing the front door and frame, entirely replacing the banister, constructing an under stairs storage area, lowering and insulating the landing ceiling, and replacing most of the doors & frames in the house, plus fitting all the skirting boards. We planned to sell, but feel so at home that we asked Mike back to remodel our third bedroom, which involved constructing a loft bed in a very confined space, which now feels spacious! If you want someone to turn your vision into reality, without breaking the bank, look no further.
