I wanted to replace a metal Suffolk latch (the type you buy from DIY stores) , on a garden gate, with something better. I am so glad I found this company. Friendly, helpful advice. The Suffolk latch arrived very nicely packaged, with full instructions, a few days after placing the order. The quality craftmanship is excellent. The latch looks good, feels good and makes a pleasant sound when used. It really makes a difference to the gate, from a functional item to a decorative one.

I placed a bespoke order for an oak hook plaque on the 8th, it was made and posted on the 9th and I received it on the 11th. So speedy, but the quality is outstanding - solid oak, evenly and beautifully cut and engraved and the fittings are top notch! The artist/crafter was super-responsive to my requests and questions and the packaging was all recyclable too. Overall, a unique and beautiful, functional piece of art for our home!

Jordan designed and built cabinets, shelving and desk space for our home office. He had good ideas for the use of the space, his workmanship was high quality and he was very professional. My personal favourite was the space for our coats & shoes! We were so pleased with the results and would recommend him for similar work.

Jordan is not just a fantastic craftsman but is polite, punctual and reliable. Turns up when he says he's going to and keeps you updated if there are any schedule changes. He's done a couple of jobs for us now and we are delighted with the results. Would absolutely recommend him.

Dan did an excellent job from start to finish when updating the garden. He removed and replaced rotten wood, updated the existing fencing and created a relaxing water feature for is. I would highly recommend Dan he is very creative and delivers satisfying results!!

Mark fitted a beautiful composite decking. The service was fantastic always on time, polite and friendly but the workmanship was of a very high standard. Nothing was any problem he always checked at each stage that we were happy. It looks amazing looking forward to using it over the summer. I would most definitely recommend Mark.

I would highly recommend Manchester Carpentry. I recently had underfloor heating installed and needed the manifold to be boxed in to stop it getting damaged and to make the area look tidier. Arj responded quickly, came out to measure promptly and gave me a competitive quote. The work was done within a week to a high standard. We have had our internal doors changed, Mike did an amazing job and worked tirelessly for two days. He was very professional and knowledgeable and we couldn't be happier with his work. He turned up when he said he would and was punctual. We totally recommend his services.

So good, we've had him twice!! A good tradesman is hard to find when it comes to knowledge, capability, enthusiasm for the job, and value for money. Mike delivers on all these areas, and discusses each stage of the project to deliver (in my experience) beyond what you would expect. I have had Mike in my house twice this year. Once on a major refurbishment project, which transformed the core section of the house : Hallway / Stairs / Landing, and included : completely replacing the front door and frame, entirely replacing the banister, constructing an under stairs storage area, lowering and insulating the landing ceiling, and replacing most of the doors & frames in the house, plus fitting all the skirting boards. We planned to sell, but feel so at home that we asked Mike back to remodel our third bedroom, which involved constructing a loft bed in a very confined space, which now feels spacious! If you want someone to turn your vision into reality, without breaking the bank, look no further.

We really don't know how to thank Mike. Giving a 5* review just doesn't seem enough. Mike did work on our staircase few yrs ago & he was so meticulous, we said we would NEVER look for another joiner. We decided to have a new kitchen a good while ago, but due to his backlog of work due to the Pandemic we were happy to wait, not once, did we think about finding a different joiner. We're SO happy we waited. He's come up with a few tips & ideas to give us more space, which the kitchen company who planned the kitchen didn't. He came up with a great idea to make the hob area a feature- it looks fantastic! He has gone above & beyond our expectations. He is so courteous, never leaves without tidying up, no matter what time it is. He only has another day here to go, but really wanted to put this review on. Will update with pics when finished. My experience with this team was excellent. I asked for a bespoke fire surround with quite a specific look. The finished job is better than I’d hoped for. I am very happy with the work from Shelterstone Carpentry. Karl was a top joiner, he fixed my sliding door that was poorly fitted by another contractor. Given the bad condition of the existing door, he did a great job and now it looks so much better. The workers were competent and professional.
