We saw some of Jon's tables and really liked the irregular-shaped yew tables - Jon was really responsive and found us a really interestingly-textured piece of wood. The craftsmanship is excellent - it sits completely steady and doesn't rock at all, which is especially impressive given its unusual shape. We're really happy with the table and would recommend his furniture to anyone who is looking for a bespoke design made to a very high standard for a reasonable price.

Excellent craftsmanship from Jon in making and fitting my wardrobes. He was always on time and very professional. He explained each step when building the wardrobes. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him and I felt the quote was very reasonable too, especially when you realise the effort that is put into the planning and construction.

Would highly recommend John attention to detail from planning and listening to our needs was excellent he respected the environment nothing too much trouble to him turned our 70s bedroom into 2025 definitely will be calling on him again for future projects.

Jon Peake’s carpentry is second to none. He has crafted numerous bespoke timber enhancements to our home, and they are all executed with impeccable attention to detail. Whether installing a new door; delightfully finishing our nursery with bespoke wood wall panelling; designing and creating cupboards and shelves to complement a new fireplace; or the pièce de résistance, a herringbone Walnut table with matching bench. Jon Peake is not only a master craftsman, but a delight to work with, combining technical expertise with personality and charisma.

I can honestly say this was the best workman I have ever used and would be happy to recommend him to others.He arrived on time and did a great job om my door and on my neighbours doors too He arrived on time ,was helpful and friendly and cleaned up after he had finished I am really happy with the results!

I would highly recommend Manchester Carpentry. I recently had underfloor heating installed and needed the manifold to be boxed in to stop it getting damaged and to make the area look tidier. Arj responded quickly, came out to measure promptly and gave me a competitive quote. The work was done within a week to a high standard. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Manchester Carpentry again for any future work.

Can’t rate Jordan’s work and communication highly enough. He has absolutely transformed our lounge with the shelving he has designed and fitted (requested a larger base to support our tv and he managed it without it looking monstrous). Everyone that visits is wowed by the work he has done. It was such a pleasure to deal with Jordan, that I asked him back to redo my sons wardrobes and shelves. Again impeccable, speedy work with great comms. He’s also just a really friendly, genuine guy.

What can I say Jordan has done an absolutely amazing job for us , worked closely with us throughout in terms of making our somewhat quirky design choices come to life. The finish is exceptional, probably better than we could have imagined. Great communication throughout the work and left the place as tidy as when he started. Jordan designed and built cabinets, shelving and desk space for our home office. He had good ideas for the use of the space, his workmanship was high quality and he was very professional. My personal favourite was the space for our coats & shoes! We were so pleased with the results and would recommend him for similar work.

Extremely pleased with everything done by Mark. First class work fitting new kitchen cabinets and worktops. He made another bespoke cabinet to match. He fitted a water heater and sink with their associated plumbing. Refitted washing machine and dishwasher. Considerable care was taken to ensure everything aligned; including fitting the worktops against an uneven wall. Coordinated and arranged for an electrician to install new power cables. Everything done was to the highest standards. A reliable, honest, pleasant and very hard working kitchen fitter. Highly recommended.

Mark did a fantastic job from start to finish. He coordinated everything I needed to make my kitchen perfect. He gave great advice, kept in regular touch, turned up on time. He sorted out glitches with bits of the kitchen that needed replacement (the kitchen company’s fault not his) and was really professional. I now have the kitchen I’ve always wanted. I contacted Able Joinery via email, and they replied promptly. Karl arranged a visit. He arrived on time, listened to my requirements, took pictures and notes. He was very knowledgeable and efficient. I accepted the quotation and agreed a date for the work. The work included minor repairs to double glazed windows and door, refitting internal doors, replacing blown double glazed unit, replacing broken letter box, supplying and fitting replacement door handles to existing doors and providing and fitting two new internal oak doors. Luke, Arron and Jamie who did the work were very polite, friendly and efficient and respectful. They cleaned up after the work was completed, and ensured I was happy with all the work. Able Joinery fitted a couple of composite doors for some outbuildings a few years back and I've been so pleased with the doors over that time that I asked them back to replace the front door to the house.
