I use Kimberly's Beauty Rooms for my nails but two lovely sisters work the hair & beauty sides. Alison is the owner & hair stylist and Kimberly is the nail & beauty technician. I know people who have their hair done there and it's always lovely. And I absolutely love my nails. Need to treat myself to more of the other beauty treatments too 😍

Alison is always cheerful and friendly. She does my hair exactly as I want it but also comes up with some good suggestions for different colours/styles for me.

Alison is just da bomb and gives an honest opinion if asked. Never had a bad cut or colour and cannot praise her enough.

’ve recently completed Beauty and the Blades Microblade to Nanoblade conversion course, and what an incredible course it is! Lauren is a fabulous trainer, attentive, encouraging and constructive with her advice and feedback. This course is intense, I learned so much over the two days, it truly offers great value for money and time. There was plenty of hands on practice on models, and I left feeling confident to undertake ombré and combination nanobrows alone when I returned to my clinic. I also left with a beautiful and comprehensive starter kit which included everything I would need to nanoblade, plus some gorgeous flowers and chocolates. Lauren’s passion and attention to detail shines through and I feel privileged to have been trained by one of this industries leading artists.

I had the pleasure of working along side Lauren for three days training and I can confidently say that it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From the very beginning, she demonstrated deep knowledge and expertise in her field of permanent make up. Lauren tailored the workdays to suit my goals and abilities , while constantly pushing me to improve. Her approach is structured but strong, motivating and professional. Whether it was theory , watching Lauren work herself or me actually doing the practical , I always felt challenged yet supported and never overwhelmed as Lauren is always by your side to help. Communication was always clear and professional. She took time to explain each exercise, correct my technique, and answer any questions I had. The course is very intense but enjoyable, well-prepared, and consistently positive, which made the whole experience enjoyable. You can tell Lauren loves what she does and is very passionate regarding it all, even down to the amazing lunches she provides 🥰 In just 3 days, I saw remarkable improvements in my progress, Thanks to Lauren’s guidance, I was able to achieve the confidence to go and do some models on my own. What sets Lauren apart is her unique quality, her passion for helping students succeed, their ability to inspire confidence. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated trainer. , Lauren is someone who will truly guide you every step of the way and stay in touch afterwards providing support. I recently had combo brows done by Lauren at Beauty and the Blade. I couldn't be happier with the results! I had been considering having them done for a long time but it took me ages to pluck up the courage. She was incredibly friendly and professional, making me feel comfortable and confident at all times. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, taking into account my natural hair/skin colourings and also the shade I would usually wear my brow makeup, how often I wear make up etc. The procedure was wasn't as painful as I expected as we used numbing cream and applied more when I felt it was needed. I returned after 6 weeks for my top up and I plan to return again for my colour boost in around a years time. I have already gotten so many compliments and given recommendation as to who did them. I'm so happy with how my eyebrows look now - it's given me a boost in confidence and I feel a lot more comfortable without make up on! I highly recommend Lauren at Beauty and the Blade to anyone who’s considering eyebrow tattooing/PMU. I wish I had got it done a lot sooner!

I trained with Beauty & the blade for a brow masterlcass on 19/02/2025. I have trained with quite a few providers for beauty services, and I have to say previous training was nothing like the training I received yesterday. Firstly on arrival the greeting was warm and friendly, with a welcoming atmosphere, which when you tend to be a nervous person this makes all the difference. The setting was professional, well thought out and set out ready to go, no rushing. The theory: Before any practical work commenced we went through the theory, with a manual that was detailed and well written, it covered every aspect, from colour theory, to needle choice, pigments, mapping, shading styles etc. Previous training has felt robotic, in that you just read through the manual and that’s it, I felt that Lauren took the time to give detailed explanations on every aspect and answered any questions I had. Really making sure that I had a good understanding before moving on to the next step. I feel coming away from the day on a theory point of view that I gained so much knowledge that was delivered in a clear way:) Lunch: I know this is not the training as such, but lunch was so cute! The effort that Lauren went to was amazing! It was like a fancy afternoon tea. The practical (two models) What I loved about training with Lauren, it really felt like she was helping me, I was not pushed if I didn’t felt comfortable, she would guide me and take the lead if I was struggling. She is extremely patient and knowledgable, it makes all the difference to feel supported. I have learnt so many little tips that I know I will take forward forever in my career from someone who is amazing at what they do. I can’t remember the quote exactly but I read many years ago, learn from people you admire, and that is very true in this case, Lauren’s work is impeccable! It has taken me a long time to be ready to put myself out there, with Lauren’s training I feel ready to start models. Rather than training and leaving me alone, there is an option to ask for help going forward and get feedback on any struggles I may face, that kind of care is invaluable. At the end of the day I was given some goody bags too, which I really appreciated and found super cute and helpful:) On a side note, I have some medical issues, I had to ask Lauren for some help in the middle of the day, she was so understanding and never once made me feel uncomfortable, it’s a really non judgemental environment:) If you are looking for a masterclass, or even starting your training you really are better placed training on a 1-1 basis with an artist who still works in the industry and has work that you can view, especially if like Lauren their work is award winning because you will learn so much more and get actual real tips on how to be a good brow artist. Thank you so much Lauren, I can’t tell you how much you have helped me:)

Beautiful hand painted designs, Anna is so talented! She also explained to me acrylics vs builder gel as it was my first set in many years and a few of my nails were quite short. Anna is a perfectionist and made sure all of my designs came out how I wanted them and is really lovely to chat to while she's working.

Best hairdressers ive been in a long time. The two girls that work there are very welcoming.and polite. I never go anywhere else very well priced. Extensions by Layla are fantastic last for 8 weeks then get them tightened again..

Been going here for years! Wouldn’t go anywhere else! Layla has always looked after my hair and the results have always been what I’ve wanted, she’s always made sure I’m happy with what she’s done. Really reasonable prices too! You get looked after here by both ladies, Katie has done my hair once too and took me from box black dye to red in one sitting! Lovely atmosphere and the girls are so chatty and make you feel welcome

I returned to the salon for the 2nd time, last time Sandra did my daughters hair, so I went to have mine done. Sandra, you didn't disappoint!!! I've been twice now, both times had my hair done by Hayley. And honestly I am impressed and so incredibly happy. The first time I had a cut and finish - absolutely great job and felt much healthier after only hacking it myself since lockdown. This time I had a full head of highlights, toner and condition, and it's amazing!! Ive gone from VERY dark brown, so a blonde looking colour, and my hair is in amazing condition! Hayley is so kind, and as someone who finds it hard to make small talk, she doesn't force conversation where it isn't needed. And to say their prices are amazing would be an understatement, it's been a long time since I've been able to afford a luxury like hairdressers, and I can't recommend this place enough 🩷

Sam is an amazing hairdresser been a client of hers for 15 years. Followed her from the last salon she worked at. All the staff are polite friendly and professional. Samm is an excellent stylist. Ok I've known her since she was about 10 but this is the first time she's cut and styled my hair. Really pleased with my hair again and I've booked another appointment.

I had gel nails with Karen and they were absolutely perfect, I loved them so much I paid for my daughter and granddaughter to get theirs done too, they were over the moon with the results

Jenny was patient with me had a consultation over the phone on how my hair was and how I wanted it, asking if curly cuts was something she could do. Went in today and am happy with the results, she listened to how I wanted it and texturised my curls so they looked more natural and how I need it to look blended as I wear my hair straight as well. Amazing hairdresser! Jenny had so much time for me. She invited me for a consultation to see what I wanted and if my hair was healthy enough for the colours which I really appreciated. She brought my hair back to life and the cut is 100% exactly how I wanted it. My hair looks just like the picture I showed her which noone has ever been able to do for me! I felt so comfortable and welcome in the salon. I would definitely recommend this salon and I will absolutely be returning.

I had 3 area anti-wrinkle with Nicola. She is so friendly, puts you at ease as soon as you walk in, will answer any questions you have and have a full discussion about what you are wanting and what your expectations are following the procedure. If you have any questions after the treatment you can always pop back into see her or she will answer any messages within a couple of hours.
