A popular and busy pub with great atmosphere, excellent service, and top food. I had ribeye steak and it was perfect. Great crust, exactly medium rare and melted like butter in my mouth. The service was excellent from all, but in particular Lucy, who dealt with the most of our table.
I randomly came across this pub during my cycling trip and I have to say that I have a truly great experience there. They accepted to cook a fish and chips even though the kitchen had closed.
Food was delicious and everyone was very kind! I very much recommend this pub and hope that i'll have the opportunity to go back!

We were fortunate enough to stumble across this exceptional country pub. We were welcomed by the landlord and patrons and sat by the fire. Sunday roast was faultless and you can have up to 4 choices of meat/veggie options on one plate.
Also there were complementary sanitary products in the toilets!
Every time we have been here the food, service, and atmosphere has been great. Even when we have had a very early dinner the staff chat to you and you don’t feel you’re eating at the library. I recommend this pub restaurant. We will be back and we will take people with us. Reliable and consistently good. Thanks to all the team.
