We had late lunch here on a very sunny Saturday. The rugby was on in the bar. The service was quick and staff were friendly. The food was delicious. We had the burger and the sea bass. Very good meal size for the price. Prices were reasonable. I'd never had Bear Island pale ale before either. It was very nice! There is a large garden and seating area, with stunning views.

Lovely traditional pub. Comfortable setting, good menu choices. We ordered seabass and fish & chips. Too full for dessert, we ordered coffees. Staff are attentive and friendly. Will definitely return for the festive Christmas lunch!

A family group of eight for a birthday and we had a great time. The food was lovely, various different meals between us and all of us enjoyed them, the staff were excellent and friendly. We had a large table shaped as a quarter of a circle which was great. We all had plenty of space and could talk to each other.

Met some friends for dinner. 3 of us had scotch eggs for starters. They were nice although would have been better if the yolks were more runny. I had calamari , which was pleasant. For mains ,2 had toad in the hole, 1 had the steak and ale pie and I had sea bass from the specials board. All were lovely! We didn’t have any room left for desserts. Nice selection of cocktails . The wine list was adequate however very pricey. We had a fabulous evening together in a lovely old pub!

What a fantastic pub,the view from garden is incredible and the food is top draw. We have visited the two days we stayed in the area for lunch. Really friendly staff and can’t fault the service.
