We got in contact with Ian this morning to make the heart-wrenching decision of putting our beloved 13 year old Labrador Trixie to rest. Ian arrived within 2 hours and was so professional, calming, and compassionate. He provided comfort not only for Trixie, but for our family as well. Ian explained everything thoroughly from start to finish. Thank you so much Ian for not letting our dog suffer anymore and taking care of her. Ian was very kind and compassionate during a very difficult time for the family. He came out within the hour of contacting him. Ian explained the process of putting the dog to sleep and gave us all the time we needed with Kira after she had passed. It was a very dignified ending for the dog and much nicer than taking her to the vets. Thanks again Ian We will be recommending you in the future.

Unfortunately had to call upon Ian’s service. It was a difficult and heartbreaking decision but we had Poppy and Meg , 17 and 14 put to sleep together. They no longer suffer. Today we had to say goodbye to our beautiful dog Simba. He lived a very long life of 13 years old which we are so grateful for but unfortunately his back and front legs in the last three years was giving away to the point he couldn’t get up and walk anymore. We decided that today was the day we all had to say our goodbyes which Ian helped us by putting him to rest. We contacted Ian back in April 2024 because thats when we thought it was time, but our strong boy continued to live on a little longer 💪🏻 When recontacting Ian he managed to come in the morning on the same day. Ian was very caring and the process went smoothly and we couldn’t have asked for a better send off. Thank you Ian.

After severe negligence by our vet, my cat Mac Mac unfortunately developed a terminal injection point sarcoma. After trying everything possible to reverse this, including holistic and emf treatment, unfortunately there was no improvement. To prevent further suffering, and not wanting to go back to the vet that caused this, I stumbled upon Farewell Friend on the web and am so glad I did. Although he had a full day, Ian kindly came back on my msg immediately and offered to make me the first visit of the day as I didn't want my young boy to be present. Ian was simply fantastic. He let me take whatever time I needed to say goodbye to my beloved cat. Similarly, after the event, I was very distraught. Again Ian let me have all the time I needed to grieve before passing her over for cremation. Although Ian in no way tried to rush me, I am sure I made him late for his other appointments. Thank you so much, Ian! You offer a crucial service, and I'm so glad my cat could pass in familiar surroundings and as peacefully as possible.
