I've used hawkinge vets since the beginning when it was just John , I've always been treated extremely well and more importantly my dogs have been treated to the highest standards possible , the staff are amazing friendly and extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about their roles , I have built a very good relationship with all that work thier and I would never go anywhere else . thank you for all your hard work in keeping my dogs well and treating each and everyone of then with so much kindness and care , always greatful .

This surgery absolutely saved me today - was travelling to france with my cat by car, which I’d only done once since brexit and had no clue about the new rules, and my usual vet failed to tell me I needed a new travel certificate every time I left the country. Called Hawkinge, they said one of their vets who was about to go home was happy to wait for us to do an emergency travel certificate. They sorted it so quickly, and also gave me information about needing to visit a vet in France within 5 days (which again, my vet failed to tell me), and were generally absolutely stellar. Such a lovely surgery, such incredibly kind people working there. Thank you so much for making a stressful situation easy to deal with! 10/10, would absolutely recommend!

Honestly love these vets, they've been amazing with all of my dogs. Only been with the practice for a year, but we've definitely been more times than we'd like. Best vets in the area by far, you don't feel overcharged for the quality of care, and all of the staff are amazing. Many thanks from Shorts and his entourage.

Adam, Vicky and their team are absolutely amazing. They have two of our dogs on pet plans and are amazing with them. They have also recently helped us say farewell to our other dog. Everyone who dealt with us was amazing and empathetic, nothing was to much to ask and they are without a doubt the best vets any where. Thank you for all you do and thank you for helping us through a tough time. Special thanks to Vicky and Emily who were so amazing, to the point that Emily stayed with our dog until Treasured Friends collected her. We are forever grateful.

We have been very lucky to have this vet close to us and they have always provided excellent care for our four cats including directly, through referring and through helping with tests. I was compelled to write a review after 8 years however because we had to make the very hard decision to have our cat put to sleep after a very sudden illness and Vicky was a fantastic support during this time. She did what she could to make the process calm and reassured me throughout. They also arranged for the cremation and saved me a little clipping of fur and paw print to keep which has meant the world. Whitstable Bay also liaised with a specialist vet to ensure that they had all the right info to provide us and to help us understand what was happening. They have always helped with any concerns that our cats have presented with including eye conditions, weight loss and we have never felt judged about how we treat our cats (one of ours is very anti-brush/groom and does get very matted and the nurses have supported us with this at times).

Having been accepted with a 13 year old dog with terminal heart problems, can’t fault the care and compassion shown by the vets and all the staff. The way the at home PTS was handled will always warm my heart. So no question where our new rescue (Penny) would be registered. Three years on, we have recommended many, even though we have to travel 9 miles to get to the vets, would not consider changing. My only concern is over the new booking system “PetsApp”. We knew it was time to let Roxy go after her diagnosis which was inoperable. She outlived vets prediction by nearly a year but the time had come. I wanted to do it at home so that she didn't experience any stress. For what was the saddest of times, couldn't have experienced a more peaceful send off. Michaela was kind and compassionate, no fuss was made, it was all done very kindly and swiftly as Roxy drifted peacefully away. The crematorium were waiting outside to take her way. Although a heart breaking day it was the best send of for my beloved fur baby and I would highly recommend Silver Gate Vets

Oli came along to my home at very short notice, when it was time for my little cat Mae to be put to sleep . She hated the vets and I didn’t want to put her through that . Last week, Wednesday 1st February we had to make the gut wrenching decision to send our 18-year-old cat to heaven after a short battle with cancer. We had already decided that we wanted at-home euthanasia so that our cat Fudge was peaceful and in familiar surroundings. Oli went through the process step by step so that we were aware of the changes that may happen during the process and what to expect. He made sure to let us know exactly what was happening and reassured us that we were making the right decision. Even down to the details of his cremation such as where he was going and who would be doing it. Ensuring us he would be taken care of during his final journey. What was supposed to be a stressful and traumatic experience was turned into a quiet and peaceful send off for our cherished family cat. And for that, we thank you.

Cannot recommend enough. The thought of having to take our beautiful Tilly to the vets (which she hated) for her final moments was awful but she had deteriorated so quickly and on a bank holiday Monday we thought we might not have any choice. The decision was incredibly hard but Silvergate made the whole process stress free. Tilly was at ease the whole time and it was just as though she had drifted into a peaceful sleep, comfortable in her own home, loved and with her family which is all we could have asked for her. Thankyou for making our final moments with her so peaceful.

Our lovely cat Rosemary of 18years, health deteriorated quickly and when we reached out to our own vet of 20years we couldn’t get an appointment within reasonable time. We contacted Medivet Evegate- Montgomery, who gave us the opportunity to attend straight away and we were seen within 15 minutes of arriving. The whole service and compassion from all staff involved (reception lady who was so kind on the phone when I started crying and she led us into a consultation room and offered drinks and tissues, to the kind vet who was with us till the end with Rosemary ) was second to none. We would highly recommend this veterinary practice. We also received a beautiful card in the post today which meant so much to us. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts!

After having bad experiences at another local vets, I transferred to Heronden and it was the best decision I have made for my two dogs! The team were all so welcoming and accommodating with my many requests and concerns and always made an extra effort to make it a positive experience for my dog. The vet (Katie) took time to explain everything to me in detail which really helped ease any anxieties caused by previous vets. She was patient and kind to my dog and paid great attention to his reactions to ensure that he was comfortable. Would recommend this practice 1000%.

We have recently joined Heronden Vets after a bad experience at a previous vets. All of the staff have taken time to get to know Roddy and reassure him. He gets spoilt with lots of treats and fusses. We have decided to take Roddy along weekly to try and get him used to it, all of the staff have been so patient and understanding. One of the most compassionate yet professional vet practices I have come across. The staff are lovely and my dog loves going in there. We had an excellent experience with his neuter surgery where he healed beautifully. The staff at this vet centre are incredible. They care passionately about your beloved pets. They give a 100percent to being friendly helpful and caring and sensitive. I had an elderly Siamese out to sleep during covid. The staff were amazing moving a treatment table to their door way. Masks on doorway open I was able be with my beloved car while she was being put to sleep to say good bye. I was blown away at the trouble the vet and staff went to during such difficult times. Few days later I received a bereavement card from the veterinary and staff the kind gesture brought tears to my eyes. So thoughtful. Years later I have a very nervous Daschund. Once again the amazing vets and staff know exactly how to calm him. So he can receive vaccinations with as little stress as possible. Now despite he is nervous he is so much better as trust has been built between him and the staff. These people really do know their job!! The Best VET CENTRE I’ve ever used. I have no concerns or worries about my dogs as I know they are in safe hands. Thankyou all so much!!

Used Abbeywell Vets to get an AHC for a trip to France. I had never travelled with my dog before but they made it simple and stress free. My dog was vaccinated elsewhere but they made the whole process a lot easier than I thought it would be, no problems at all. Will definitely be back next time I travel with my dog

I had an emergency with my dog, where (somehow?!) my handbag straps metal clip got caught on my dogs leg. It was very deeply caught and my dog was howling in pain. I rushed him to this vets and all of the staff were very kind and helpful. They luckily got the clip removed without sedation. A big thanks to the staff, I would recommend as they clearly care for animals.

This was the first time we had taken our dog to Europe and Abbeywell vets were fantastic. Filled in the form and our vet sent them our records. Then all we had to do was collect the AHC on the day we agreed. We will be using them again next year and will get it at a discount. Great service.

Bourne Veterinary Practice is an outstanding practice. Been with this Veterinary Practice since it opened for routine cat health checks and vaccinations but it is so reassuring to be able to book an emergency appointment online at night to be seen first thing the next morning. All staff are welcoming and caring. Good to be told costs throughout consultation so that there isn’t a shock when going to pay. Thoroughly recommend this veterinary practice.
