Matthew and his team came to the rescue at short notice, just before Xmas, and did wonderful job at saving a massive leak into my bedroom. I couldn't find a roofer to help out on such short notice but Matthew did everything possible to get his team to work on a Saturday to fix the issue. It was just on time as that night it rained so heavily that there would have been extensive damage so I am extremely grateful to his professional help and forthcoming nature to help me so efficiently and quickly fix the problem. Having done excellent work for us before, Matthew, Lee & the team came to the rescue when a side roof on our house was badly damaged in Storm Ciaran (Nov 2023) and we had serious water-leakage inside. They made the roof secure while Matthew prepared clear & conscientious reports of the damage etc. For the insurance company. That having been sorted, they completed a good full repair on the roof. They are really experienced, with a great range of skills, always a polite & professional manner, punctual etc. City Building and Roofing will always be our go-to for building work & repair.

John, a very nice man, came to inspect one day, and then he explained what needed to be done, sent me and agreed on a quote, then booked the date. John and the team were super helpful and responsive to some issues we had with our roof. The team were really professional and were able to fix some slipped tiles and replace some missing tiles from our very old roof. This is the first winter of owning the property, so it's always the litmus test for seeing the condition of the roof and guttering. Sam & team started work the same week and completed the removal of the current flat roof fibreglass (which had cracked over three years and caused several leaks) then installed a felt flat roof system over 5 days. Excellent service and quality of work. Attentive, friendly and diligent professional. Our roof was leaking, he knew exactly what was wrong by looking at the old roof (previous fibre glass workmanship was sub standard hence roof began to leak). They came around promptly, started and completed until all was done. He listened to what we wanted (take old roof off and start again) and carried out the job. Other roofers just wanted to go on the top, which was just putting a plaster on the problem. Good thing too, as it was rotting! Would definitely recommend. Give them a call and find out for yourself. Adam and his team were fantastic. They replaced two flat roofs for us that were cracked and leaking, and fixed any other issues they found like the rotten ply wood under, some broken tiles and guttering brackets. Replacing a roof was made painless by the London Roofing Specialist team. I had been dreading it and met with a number of companies before finally going ahead with LRS. The process was seamless from the erection of the scaffolding, removal and replacement of the flat roof, the installation of a Velux skylight, coping stones on the parapet walls and a new deep flow guttering system. All was done well within the 10 day period, they were professional, punctual starting at 8am each day, hard working, well mannered which came as a surprise 😂 and they left the site clean. Last but not least there were no hidden extras when I received their final invoice .. to be highly recommended 🤩

I had the GWS team undertake a roofing project on my house in the spring of 2024. I had a lot of damp coming into the house from the roof above as well as from rotting window frames/door going onto my roof terrace. The work involved multiple different trades to be coordinated to carry out the works from scaffolders, windows team, painters, carpenters and roof leading experts. I had an excellent first meeting with Joe to discuss the damp issues that needed fixing and he helped explain how his team would carry out works to fix the issues. He then organised for a detailed plan of works and costs. Once the works got started I was kept up to date by Gary who did a great job at keeping me informed of progress and any potential issues. The team on site were always very professional and able to answer questions that I had about the works. The works were done within the time frame we had discussed and to very high standards. Overall I am really happy with the work that GWS have done at my house and would definitely recommend them to others needing roofing works done.

We needed the entire roof of our house replaced. GWS offered a fair quote and honoured it. They were always on time, straight forward and pleasant to deal with. GWS have recently completed a complete roof replacement for us. We researched carefully, mindful that roofing is notorious for cowboy operators. GWS gave us confidence from the start with a careful and thorough site visit / discussion and a comprehensive quote including everything. The price was similar to the other well-reviewed company we met. The team started on the date agreed and kept us well informed of progress and any issues they found. At the end of the project they produced a thorough report with photographs detailing the work undertaken. At the final inspection our supervisor noticed that the scaffolders had accidentally broken a tile on our kitchen roof (not part of the project), they quickly arranged for it to be replaced. The guarantee was sent to us immediately after payment. We found everyone we dealt with professional, efficient and courteous. We are very pleased with the quality of the work.

I manage our own apartment block and our flat roof was in very bad repair and leaking into several of the flats. It needed replacing. I got several varied quotes for replacement and as costs were pretty high I recruited a chartered surveyor to oversee the quotes and recommend. Best thing I ever did. There were weekly inspections by the surveyor and the roof suppliers with reports to me on progress. They were on site every morning and on time and worked every day until the job was complete. I could not fault their effort and enthusiasm throughout the construction. They invited me to observe the roof at regular intervals to see the progress. I was delighted with the result. I could not recommend them high enough. I have my guarantee too and that is something that not all roofing contractors will supply. Brilliant Job and company to deal with!
