GWS have recently completed a complete roof replacement for us. We researched carefully, mindful that roofing is notorious for cowboy operators. GWS gave us confidence from the start with a careful and thorough site visit / discussion and a comprehensive quote including everything. The price was similar to the other well-reviewed company we met. The team started on the date agreed and kept us well informed of progress and any issues they found. At the end of the project they produced a thorough report with photographs detailing the work undertaken. At the final inspection our supervisor noticed that the scaffolders had accidentally broken a tile on our kitchen roof (not part of the project), they quickly arranged for it to be replaced. I used GWS to do a completely new roof on my house in summer 2024. They were extremely professional throughout the process, from the initial estimate (unlike other estimates I got, they actually measured the roof dimensions) through to the scaffolding, build and completion. When a couple of unexpected minor issues appeared with the roof when the tiles came off, each additional piece of work e.g. fixing a dodgy coping stone, were photographed, documented and estimated for clinet approval. At the end of the project there was a quality assurance walkthrough and there were no surprises on the invoice. I would use GWS again in a heartbeat.

I had the GWS team undertake a roofing project on my house in the spring of 2024. I had a lot of damp coming into the house from the roof above as well as from rotting window frames/door going onto my roof terrace. The work involved multiple different trades to be coordinated to carry out the works from scaffolders, windows team, painters, carpenters and roof leading experts. I had an excellent first meeting with Joe to discuss the damp issues that needed fixing and he helped explain how his team would carry out works to fix the issues. He then organised for a detailed plan of works and costs. Once the works got started I was kept up to date by Gary who did a great job at keeping me informed of progress and any potential issues. The team on site were always very professional and able to answer questions that I had about the works. The works were done within the time frame we had discussed and to very high standards. Overall I am really happy with the work that GWS have done at my house and would definitely recommend them to others needing roofing works done.

I manage our own apartment block and our flat roof was in very bad repair and leaking into several of the flats. It needed replacing. I got several varied quotes for replacement and as costs were pretty high I recruited a chartered surveyor to oversee the quotes and recommend. Best thing I ever did. When I told the contractors there would be a surveyor involved, they disappeared. The surveyor then recommended GWS Roofing as they had dealt with them before. One thing of importance was they would guarantee the roof works for 20 years. They did a full analysis on the roof and recommended Langley Roof technology and they are approved fitters of this roofing product. The job took just over 2 months. They did an amazing job for me. There were weekly inspections by the surveyor and the roof suppliers with reports to me on progress. They were on site every morning and on time and worked every day until the job was complete. I could not fault their effort and enthusiasm throughout the construction. They invited me to observe the roof at regular intervals to see the progress. I was delighted with the result. We needed the entire roof of our house replaced. GWS offered a fair quote and honoured it. They were always on time, straight forward and pleasant to deal with. They did a great job replacing rotten wood beams, and supplying and fitting natural slate and lead to the roof. I am very happy with the end result
