Well, we popped out for lunch today and came here. I must say what a great decision that was firstly what friendly polite staff gave us a warm welcome even though it was our first time here the food we had was from the lunch menu which was our choice which there isn't a great selection but was absolutely lovely. The main menu has so much more on offer, which we will be trying on our next visit. The owner, who was there, has a friendly way, which all the staff have, so I would highly recommend going here for lunch or your evening meal with friends as sharing would mean you can try even more of there lovely food and value for your money 👍👏so well done to you all for the warm welcome and good service you gave us today.

I visited Bamanoosh Persian Kitchen tonight with two Turkish friends, and it was truly a memorable dining experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying a relaxing evening with friends. We ordered kebabs and rice, and I have to say, the flavors were exceptional. The kebabs were tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully, and the rice had a unique, authentic taste that made it stand out from any we’d tried before. The food quality was top-notch, and every dish had an attention to detail that showed a real passion for Persian cuisine. The portions were generous, and we felt that the prices were very reasonable for the high quality we received. It’s clear Bamanoosh uses fresh ingredients and authentic techniques, which made every bite delicious. We all left full and happy, already talking about coming back soon. If you’re looking for genuine Persian flavors in a comfortable and welcoming environment, Bamanoosh is a must-try! I just informed that there is live music as well so definitely I will come back in the near future.

I would highly recommend Bamanoosh, I took 32 of my Non-Persian friends, to this restaurant and everything was perfect. They made me proud with their excellent service, wonderful music and delicious food. Simply everything was exceptional.

Our first visit to this restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Food was tasty and the service was good. We were looked after well. We would recommend amritsiri fish and Delhi style puris for starters and lamb shanks & dal makhni for mains accompanied with lacha paratha and rice. . It would be a perfect end to a meal if the restaurant invested in a coffee machine offering a range of coffees. We would definitely visit again.

Amazing service and great food. When I wanted to tip for the great service, they would not accept. A good change from everywhere where they accept tips, and you know how much you will pay.

Fantastic Indian food. I came to visit my Indian family from America and I had to have Indian. We found this place and my cousin said, If Indians are eating here, you know it is good, and she was right. We ordered so much food for six of us so we could try as much as possible. Not one thing was bad. We had Papadum basket and chutneys, chicken Dhansak, lasooni dal taka, awadhi lamb shank, punjabi mugrh biryani, boatmans jhinga curry, Kasmiri lamb roganjosh, tandoori roti, all three rices, garlic naan and peshwari naan, and malai tikka. I tried mutton for the first time. Yum. Our waiter Nitish was a sweetheart and made me feel so welcomed. Thank you for the Mango chutney that was delicious. You must try this place if you are in the area.

Great food. Good choice of wine n beer. Fresh ingredients - could taste the ginger etc. Best dish and will come back just for their aubergine with ginger and chilli - fabulous (and I loved the chicken dhansak and jalfrezi). Not many customers in, but it was 8pm on a Wednesday. Staff friendly and had humour which is nice. Turned the music down for my grumpy friend. :)

Friendly service with a great selection of drinks, live sport on the TVs and onsite parking. Reasonably priced with food options available too. Definitely recommend!

Graham Wood's birthday party on 16th September was held at Basil's. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was great and reasonably priced. The band were able to play with enough space for seating and dancing. Everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable evening, especially Graham - the man of the moment!

Great sports facilities - new bar is fantastic for food and drinks and well priced. Staff always very helpful and provide great service.

Chanced upon this place for a bbq lunch. Seafood set and pork jowl were absolutely delicious. Very fresh and well marinated. Service was great too. One of the best meals we had in this London trip. Also had a good selection of sake.

Top Japanese restaurant, from the start to the desert. We were in three and had two set menus, the beef the sea and extra baby octopus. All was great and abundant. Also the tea was good. The service and staff was very professional and friendly.

These place deserved a 5 star review from us , everything is perfect variety buffet and other sushi dishes that we added extra , wagyu beef is melted in your mouth , grilled ell sushi 😋 yummy cocktails 🍸

Generous and Tasty lunch but the service was above and beyond, so friendly and kind. Sat by a cosy roaring fire and my goddaughters day was made by the free pompom crisps given to her at our departure.

Have been a couple of times - once as a family and more recently for some group drinks. Great for families and I found the restaurant to be very accommodating and child friendly. For the drinks, they were very generous with the space provided. Both times I felt that the staff were great - very attentive and were happy to go above and beyond to make us feel accommodated.

Lovely evening in the Garden, food was really good, delicious Fattoush salad to start and perfectly cooked sea bass with capers prawns and lemon butter sauce. Excellent cocktails. So good to have a local independent pub offering great food, we will be back soon!

Gorgeous hidden gem in Surbiton. I’ve gone past it so many times but for some reason I have never been drawn to it… but was I wrong! I’ve been missing out; I wish I’d tried it sooner. Really delicious food, lovely staff and really pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Quality of food was great, unfortunately our calamari wasn't as crispy as I would've liked, but the pasta and pizza was excellent. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because of the value for money, I felt it was slightly overpriced for what it was, but still a great meal.

Went on a quiet night after a long day at work and long night ahead. Revived the spirits with fantastic food and kind service. They packed the second part of my order carefully so I could enjoy it later. Very authentic food having been lucky enough to spend lots of good times with Italians and in Italy. The red wine selection was also good.

Friendly locals pub in a great location. A couple of real ales are available. Live sport on in a tv in a small section of the pub. I didn't eat but the pub was busy on a Sat afternoon with family's and friends eating. Polite friendly staff. There is parking. Great location for walks. I would recommend this pub if you are in the area.

Absolutely delicious fish tacos and a gorgeous garden with lots of tables. The only negative is the rather leisurely service. But would definitely go back! Such a find.

This pub offers a varied menu for lunch and dinner. I took my wife here today for lunch, hidden, quiet and off the beaten track. Large garden to eat outside and friendly bar staff.

We had our annual meal out out here for the third year in a row and can only say that every time its been amazing, fantastic food, fantastic service and great value for money. Will be back next year.

I love this place just had a meal for my child birthday. This is our second time .Food was great and when asked to blow the cake for my child they even lit the candle and played happy birthday song. The kids love their food

I had a really good experience as a vegetarian. The menu had a nice range of options, which is always a relief. Anastasia, was fantastic. She was super friendly, made sure I had all the info I needed about the vegetarian options, and even suggested a few things based on what I liked. If you're in the area and looking for a good pub with solid veggie choices, I’d definitely recommend The Grove. And if you’re lucky enough to be served by Anastasia, you’re in good hands!

From initial booking to the day itself, the team at The Grove were incredibly communicative & accommodating to our special requests. Both atmosphere & food were enjoyed by our group. The festive & kids menu were great value for money. It was a busy Saturday evening with many other group bookings, there was a delay between courses & bill payment - but that didn't dampen a lovely evening. Thank you to Gynette, Emily & Jane.

Overall I really love the atmosphere of the pub and food was good. Despite some negative aspects of the visit I would recommend this pub. Service: We booked in for dinner. Whilst our waitress was very friendly the service was slow and inattentive. This was surprising as there weren’t many tables sat around us. Took way too long for drinks to arrive once ordered (was quicker to leave the table and go to the bar ourselves). £5 for a pint of diet coke also seems very steep for Surbiton… Sea bass with chorizo: Really enjoyed this. I normally don’t like chorizo but this paired really well with the fish. Fish and chips: Friends enjoyed this fish and chips. Banana sticky toffee pudding: Looks fantastic but sadly didn’t taste it. The banana chips were too hard and not a great take on the traditional pudding. A case where simplicity would have been better. The pudding itself was a bit hard and dry (looks like they were cooked individually but this means there was a crust all the way around which was disappointing)

Delicious, top notch vegan food and exceptionally attentive service - especially Jane and Anastasia who were serving us! Also super pet friendly - Anastasia brought water and fresh chicken for our dog plus he received some lovely cuddles from her too. 100% recommended xx

We were visiting Hampton Court Palace and came across The Wheatsheaf by accident but what an absolute pleasure. The place is lovely, the food was amazing & delicious, the service was brilliant and the manager, Pascal, was friendly & attentive. We couldn’t fault anything and enjoyed it so much that we returned for a second visit the next evening. If you’re in the area then do go if you can - you won’t regret it 😃. Michael & Olga.

Boys Christmas lunch on Wednesday in the separate room, was overseen by Misha who did a fantastic job keeping us in check. The food was lovely and all dishes were served promptly. A great afternoon thanks to all the team at Wheatsheaf, see you again soon. Billy xx

Met up with friends and sat by the bar. The pub itself is cosy, clean and has a nice atmosphere. The staff are so lovely, they were attentive and the service was brilliant. We ordered starters and mains and I would say the food was the icing on the cake… there was a great menu from which to choose from and none of us were disappointed with what we ordered… soup if the day, prawns and mushrooms for starters and delicious burger, satay salad and gnocchi for mains… so nice… will be visiting again.. on top of everything else, there was ample parking… 10/10 for sure…

Great food and service at this busy pub. Menu is great, if a little fish heavy for starters. Sunday roast was excellent, hot with plenty of vegetables too. Homemade pudding selection was also great and friendly service.
