Best roast beef I’ve had in a long time - only recommendation would be that it could have been a bit warmer maybe send out with some extra hot gravy :) followed by sharing desert platter - the ice cream was amazing 🤩

This is a great pubs and my favourite when I visit Walton on the hill. It's owned by Youngs and loads of nooks to sit. The open fires were welcome on a chilly day and the ale was cracking. Recommend.

Lovely pub and restaurant!! Clean, dog-friendly, nice decor and spacious outdoor seating area. The staff were amazing - impeccable service. Went in wanting just a spot of lunch and ended up having a full-on three course meal because the menu looked so good. I had the pork belly bites to start. There is no other way to describe them, they were simply little cubes of joy. Our table got through 4 plates of these, they were that good! I went for the chicken schnitzel for the main course, asked if I could swap out the jersey royals for fries which they were more than happy to do. The fries were top notch, the chicken served on a bed of leeks sautéed to perfection. I have to give the main a 9.5 - a lemon wedge on the side would have elevated this dish to flawlessness. I initially wasn't going to have dessert but when I saw that they did pecan pie with honeycomb ice cream, I was sold and it did not disappoint. Overall, really enjoyed my visit and will 100% be going back when I am next in the area.

Have been here many times over the years and more so recently with my family and kids. Most times I do come, there is a lovely young lady, I believe to be one of the managers, Demi, who is always super attentive and lovely. She is always smiling and welcoming. Bruno (my dog) loves her too - think it might be the treats. Food is always lovely. Fab selection of drinks for everyone. All staff are lovely and welcoming.

Really pleasant meal, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. The food is full of flavour and ingredients generous compared to many of the well known Italian chains. Speaking to other diners, it’s clear many come back regularly and you can see why. Looking forward to going back to this little gem.

Lovely food and cozy atmosphere with fire. Kids loved the pool table and dart board. Would go again.

Quiet but didn't try the food so don't know

My food was great and the welcome and service even better...the 'Special Offer' at £12.95 (only at certain times, check the photo on the listing) was very good and included a starter and main. The staff were all wearing jackets, so perhaps they need to do something about that. I didn't feel cold sitting near the gas log fire feature, but seeing the staff on coats was a little disconcerting. Above all though, a good meal for the money.

Amazing! Incredible food (perfect level of spice/flavour/portion size), served quickly with great customer service (I never normally review and have very high standards!!!).

I have been to this restaurant 2 evenings in a row, the first night I found it by accident, the second night I came back due to the great food and very friendly staff. Faruq was a very pleasant host who was happy to chat to me. I was staying in the Premier Inn just up the road bit was more than happy to spend an evening in the restaurant. Great selection of food and definitely worth a visit.

What a great place. The atmosphere,staff, food to name a few, are all just fantastic. This is a must go. I went with a group of 21 and Maria and her team were exceptional and made sure we were all looked after. Not to forget the Singer…what a wow factor Honestly if you want the best of the best…..go to this place

Good variety of mocktails, Delicious food, good range of starters. Large portion of mains, sea bass could do with a little less salt (for me). Overall lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff and had a lovely night out with work colleagues. We had an impromptu request for a bday cake and they got out a sparkler on an ice cream and were really accommodating :)

Attended Christmas Eve - just noticed the review from a moaner that insulted the entertainer on a previous review. assure you as a paying customer who attended that night Joshua was an amazing singer. myself and my family are attending the same restaurant to see him again. There is enough negativity in this world without the likes of someone who books a restaurant with a live singer and don’t want to hear a singer. The surrounding guests were commenting on how good he was so please ignore that bitter little man. Maybe next time he should be asked to be put in the toilets where it’s quiet. The food was absolutely outstanding. All staff were attentive and I will definitely be returning. This is a true gem where u can get decent food and decent entertainment.

Banging food choices, if only I starved myself for a week I may have scratched the surface. Oh well, looks like I have to go back to try some more, shame. Would totally recommend.

4.5/5 a unique and historic establishment with superb food. Food was very good, (I had Lamp Rump) portion size was adequate but I would have preferred some extra crispy potatoes! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Although I would expect glasses to be cleaner without water marks and stains on them. Atmosphere was perfect, I could talk to my party and hear them without anyone raising their voice. The unique architecture matched with patterned chairs and warm lighting was very cosy and welcoming.

Food was very delicious... staff very attentive considering how busy it was. The wine list is excellent. They could put on a better variety and more local ales instead of the bog standard what you see in alot of pubs. Extensive food choices, it was rather overwhelming with the amount of menu's however!

Such a gem of a pub! Great outdoor area, with lots of seating. The food is amazing, lovely portions and unreal quality, especially the Steak and Malbec pie! The service by Jason was brilliant. We will definitely be returning - thank you.

Had the most wonderful party last night at the Wool Pack. There were 40 of us. The food was outstanding. A large menu however EVERYONE simply enjoyed their dish, exceeding our expectations. Service was spot on. Cant wait to go back again with the family. Well done and thank you all. Marie

Brilliant pub. Been coming here for years. Food & service has always been great. Today had the Chorizo Scotch Egg which was absolutely sublime 😍 and also the Chicken & Leek Pie. Look forward to visiting again soon

First time we had dinner here and we were not disappointed. The garden area was lovely and very lively especially the hottest day of the year 😁 the food was delicious 🤤 they have a good selection of main courses. I had the special chicken and leek pie 🥧 someone wrote a review to try the loaded fries because they are amazing and it is true!!

Full disclosure: I came here for a house event, so I didn’t try the food. The bar service was decent considering how busy it was, and the staff were friendly and doing their best under pressure. Outside, there’s a nice side area with plenty of seating, which was a great spot to take a breather. That said, the venue was packed, and with the low ceilings, it felt like a bit of a sweatbox—it got really hot inside. Despite that, I had a fantastic night and will definitely come back!

Spent a great evening in this lovely cosy pub. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was top quality and tasty. Our group enjoyed the atmosphere and would choose this pub again.

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch with our two little dogs and what a lovely welcome especially Georgia what a lovely person made our visit special after a difficult time personally. The Sunday roast was so tasty when we are visiting again we will definitely return . Thank you x

Boxing Day dinner with 15 other family members… the staff were so incredible! Clearly some disruptions on the day but things happen and the girls were great! Chef came out to speak to us and the food was DELICIOUS! Thank you for being so kind, professional and serving delicious food !

Fantastic pub, Christmas decor is the best we’ve ever seen. Menu is brilliant too, not your standard Fullers copy-and-paste pub grub, actual meals with skill and flavour. Ellie our waitress was fantastic too
