A group of nine of us visited for dinner mid-week. The refurbishment of the bar, lounge and restaurant is very impressive. It’s a lovely space to relax in and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The menu is fairly short (which in my view is a good sign as the food tends to be fresh!), and everything that we chose was well presented and very tasty. The service was efficient and unobtrusive. We had a lovely evening and would definitely return.

Three of us had a late lunch in the garden. Beautiful pub with an excellent outside seating area. Very busy, popular place. I had trout with mashed potatoes and onions. Delicious! Im a pescatarian who does not like fish to look like fish. So what i liked was that it was a trout fillet, with no heads or tails visible. Service was a little slow, however, they were very busy. I would certainly go there again.

Amazing Sunday roast. Roast pork, roast beef, and half a roast chicken all served on a platter with amazing yorkshire puddings. Fresh vegetables stuffing balls and gravy. What more would one want on a Sunday! Top notch food and service! Considering we did not have a booking and they were exceptionally busy, the amazing staff still managed to accommodate us. Thank you so much.

The waiter (bartender) was fantastic, super polite and friendly! The atmosphere in the pub is very calm and warm, very different from other pubs that I've been too. Not filled with a lot of loud people, pretty chill. The food was amazing, and pretty fancy (imo), all were presented very well. I'd said the food is very authentic, it kinda represents the country. Overall, really happy and satisfying with the food, would recommend it!!

Randomly popped in with my family for lunch on Saturday. Pub is not huge, but it filled up quickly I would recommend booking a table ahead. Chap serving us was lovely and we didn’t had any issue with the service despite the fact that he was alone balancing everything in the place! Menu looked quite simple, but it was absolutely delicious. Simple pub food made very nicely. Their gravy could be a bit thicker but that’s just could be me. We had three different desserts all as equally good as the other, icecream was extremely scrumptious! Food was reasonably priced, especially that other places charge more for inferior quality meals. Will be returning in the future.

Fantastic Sunday lunch and the loveliest young staff serving us, absolutely charming! Their huge beer garden was also nice. The food was phenomenal and well-priced for a roast. Good range of beers including local Shere Drop.

This is a proper pub that also happens to serve meals - you could go here for a few drinks very happily without feeling like you’re taking up table space from the food bit. That said, we mainly went to eat, and the food and service were excellent. The Plough serves pub food done perfectly in terms of the ingredients, portions and presentation, and it’s reasonably priced too. You will come across nearby Surrey Hills pubs that are similarly excellent in many respects, but The Plough runs them all close, especially in value for money terms. Will come again. Thank you.

The other two pubs being either full or not serving food we tried this place for the first time. Plenty of parking - in the shade - was a good start, as was the large outside seating area with a variety of seating. QR code menus made it easy to choose food and order it to the table; there was no option for the spritzer my mum wanted so we went inside to get drinks. Later we saw folk with the paper menus, but it was no real issue. The online menu had as its first question to ask about allergies which I though was good organisation. Food was extremely good, very tasty, nicely presented, and hit the spot; just a really nice experience with friendly staff and therefore definitely a place to go back again.

Absolutely delicious!! Had the roast beef. Great portion size and very tasty. Perfect date for me and boyfriend. Can’t wait to come back!

Nice pub with a good selection is dishes. Shout out to the staff who were all smiles and seemed to enjoy being there. Drink prices were in line with London so heads up on that

We had Sunday lunch there and the food was lovely and the service was spot on . The lady waitress was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely go again

First off, we have been here before for a Sunday roast and it’s incredible!!! Beautiful food and service from all staff. Last night we had our wedding reception at the Black Swan after getting married abroad. Barbara was AMAZING! Of course the only day forecasted to rain was yesterday, but she said it’s fine we can accommodate, our reception started inside with welcome drinks then moved outside to the garden area. It was amazing, food was beautiful everyone complimented the pub, food, staff, the DJ absolutely everything! Could not fault one thing - amazing venue for lunch in the sunshine in the summer, or a cosy dinner in the winter or to host events!

The food along with the atmosphere and decor was excellent. Chloe was our server and was very efficient and polite. Sandwiches are popular so make sure to come early enough before they sell out. Dog friendly as well!

Tasty food & great portions. I found the menu limited in terms of choice but my meal I did have was enjoyable. Great service and lovely friendly staff and atmosphere. I felt very comfortable eating alone.

I went to La Meridiana to celebrate our family reunion, and everything was very nice. They had live music, which of course made the atmosphere very nice. The kitchen service was very quick, but most importantly, the food was INCREDIBLE. I have been going to the restaurant for a couple of years, and it keeps on getting better. We had the special Skate wrapped in bacon and it was insanely good. The portions are really good as you have space for the amazing desserts they offer. I have not tried a better authentic Italian restaurant in Surrey!

I'm cat sitting in Horsley for ten days. I'd never heard of it until my good friend moved here and frankly the thought of ten days this far out was unnerving. However my first night, on recommendation, I headed to La Meridiana and tonight for one reason or another I went again, alone. And it was divine. Grad and avo starter - light, fluffy, mousse-esque, followed by prawn linguine (creamy yet made with barely any cream!), profiterolo because it is true Italiano and it'd be rude not to and to round it all off I ordered a Sgarro (?) drink - prosecco, scoop of sorbet, shot of vodka and a sprig of mint. Lift, refreshing and delicious. I got caught up in the most wonderful conversation with a family on the table next to me, was woo-ed by my lovely Portuguese waiter and made to feel special by the (guitar playing(?)) owner. It was just delightful and very special

I'm very happy with the treatment but above all with the quality of the food, I must say that it's better to go with reservation to secure your table but come on. As always, Chef Santana doesn't disappoint us anywhere. I recommend spicy squid, it's just perfect.

This is a lovely pub with lots of space and warm fires to huddle around. They serve Thai food here and it was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was brilliant and staff were very friendly. Will definitely be returning.

This is hands down one of the best pubs in the area. The warm and welcoming atmosphere is complemented by incredibly friendly staff and an attentive owner who truly cares about the experience. The Thai food is a standout - authentic, flavorful, and consistently excellent. Whether you’re in for a casual drink or a meal, this place never disappoints. Highly recommended!

First time visiting with friends . Everything excellent beer and fantastic Thai food in this great pub. Great friendly service in bar and restaurant. Highly recommend . Only comment would be the very bright lighting in the restaurant part of the pub. Seemed to be no option to adjust lights. Will be asking to sit at table in the bar area on our next visit where the atmosphere (lighting ) is more to our (personal) liking .

Mixed feelings. The room was ok, basic. At the reception, one of the staff was very friendly but inefficient and the other one was abrupt but managed to resolve our issue. Breakfast was nice and there was a large choice of hot and cold breakfast. Food at the bar was good but we had to come back many times before finding someone behind the bar to place our order with. We liked the fact that there were few free hot beverage and fruits station in the hotel. The swimming pool was nice but the changing room was not practical. The surroundings and garden were nice.

Partner and I stayed for an anniversary and birthday in the De Vere suite. It was amazing so beyond our expectations. When we entered our room we were greeted with biscuits and a chocolate bar that said congratulations, with warm lighting and smooth radio on the Roberts radio provided. We felt like royalty. Massive room, massive bed, two massive sofa’s too! Beautifully decorated and very warm despite the cold outside! Lovely standalone bathtub and delicious smelling soaps provided. The staff were lovely all throughout the grounds, even the receptionist came over to the Towers when we went to the wrong reception! Food buffet was well worth the money, beef was delicious. Beautiful grounds would have explored more had it not been raining or freezing cold. 100% would stay again.

I recently stayed here with a party of guests as we attended Goodwood Revival. I can't thank the staff enough for all their help. The restaurant team and manager, Trudi, were amazing and settled us as a group of 10 in a side room to accommodate our needs for meal times in the wonderful restaurant. The check in staff were also very kind and pleasant and efficient even as the main reception area was closed for refurbishment. The rooms were excellent. We had a very pleasant stay. Thank you
