We were visiting Hampton Court Palace and came across The Wheatsheaf by accident but what an absolute pleasure. The place is lovely, the food was amazing & delicious, the service was brilliant and the manager, Pascal, was friendly & attentive. We couldn’t fault anything and enjoyed it so much that we returned for a second visit the next evening. If you’re in the area then do go if you can - you won’t regret it 😃. Michael & Olga.

Great food and service at this busy pub. Menu is great, if a little fish heavy for starters. Sunday roast was excellent, hot with plenty of vegetables too. Homemade pudding selection was also great and friendly service.

Met up with friends and sat by the bar. The pub itself is cosy, clean and has a nice atmosphere. The staff are so lovely, they were attentive and the service was brilliant. We ordered starters and mains and I would say the food was the icing on the cake… there was a great menu from which to choose from and none of us were disappointed with what we ordered… soup if the day, prawns and mushrooms for starters and delicious burger, satay salad and gnocchi for mains… so nice… will be visiting again.. on top of everything else, there was ample parking… 10/10 for sure…

Had a fantastic experience at The Wheatsheaf yesterday. We had our Christmas work party there which started with a 3 course meal - starter, main and dessert. Food was delicious and generous portions. We also enjoyed the quality and selection of their drinks. After food, 20 carol singers arrived from a local church which was a lovely special touch. The staff were all very hospitable - special thank you to assistant manager Hannah who took care of us throughout and ensured an amazing Christmas work do!

Absolutely delicious fish tacos and a gorgeous garden with lots of tables. The only negative is the rather leisurely service. But would definitely go back! Such a find.

This pub offers a varied menu for lunch and dinner. I took my wife here today for lunch, hidden, quiet and off the beaten track. Large garden to eat outside and friendly bar staff.

Don't eat breakfast if you're coming for Sunday lunch, the meals are huge and deserts are delicious!

Friendly locals pub in a great location. A couple of real ales are available. Live sport on in a tv in a small section of the pub. I didn't eat but the pub was busy on a Sat afternoon with family's and friends eating. Polite friendly staff. There is parking. Great location for walks. I would recommend this pub if you are in the area.

Fabulous garlic chilli chicken backed with some superb unhurried service

The bar terrace is great. We just tried the new menu which is delicious and excellent value. Lovely to look out over the racecourse - a real holiday vibe! Very excited to see the indoor restaurant area when it's finished. Great work Lookout Team!

This was our first visit but won't be our last! The food was delicious and we are very picky! It lived upto expectations but not so easy to find... and on the expensive side!!

Nice place to have a dinner, private party or birthday, free parking dog friendly . Surround by nature. Amazing view’s, kids can play on the sky or do sky walking. manager and staff really nice. I definitely recommend 5 stars

Lovely tapas in Esher, all dishes were delicious, beautiful interior and great service 👌🏼

Don Luis is a marvellous tapas place on Esher high street. This has to be the best prosciutto I've ever eaten in the UK. Every slice was quality and the standout dish. Often tapas can be overly oily but not here. Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish.

Came in for a spontaneous lunch with my partner and we were not disappointed. From when we entered, the waiter was really friendly and the service was good. Having gone to Spain a few times, the food here tasted authentic - just as if we were in Spain, which is quite hard to find in London! The chef also came to greet us and we had to pay our compliments to him (Raul).

I am so happy that the place we chose to eat originally was closed and we visited this tapas restaurant instead! Lovely food! Everything was delicious, and portions were really generous. I really liked the service. The lady was so nice and explained everything to us. There was no long wait and everything was fresh. I am sure we will visit again if we are in the area.

I have eaten at the Bear a few times and the food has been excellent. Unfortunately this time (Sunday night) I thought it wasn’t up to standard. Soup was watery, pork roast came without crackling, new potatoes were cold, tenderstem charred. They did offer my parents two free drinks/or pudding as they both had the watery soup. I think for the price, they need to get back on top of the quality of plates they are serving. The service we had however was excellent and the waitress was very friendly.

We had Sunday lunch there last week, and had the sharing platter for 4. It was excellent - the vegetables were well presented and the meats all cooked correctly - port, beef and a whole little chicken. Will be going again. The ambience and service were both warm and friendly also.

Yet again the food is amazing. Great staff as well. If you are in the area give it ago. You won't be disappointed.

Still my favourite Chinese restaurant after 18 years. The food is beautifully cooked and presented and we are always greeted warmly by the owner. I think I've had the prawns in butter sauce every time I've been because it's the best thing I've ever tasted. Please don't ever stop doing it because I've never seen it anywhere else! I also recommend the soft shell crab and beef and cashew. Thank you for a lovely evening celebrating my son's birthday.

Fabulous service by Will and Charlie and the food was the best I'v eever tasted, especially the shredded chicken. I will definitely be going here again. Would totally recommend this place.

This restaurant is always very quiet but we decided to give it a go and we are so pleased we did. The decor is not at all upmarket but reminded me so much of days long past hanging around back streets of Hong Kong. Service at Ume comes with a lovely smile, which seems rare when eating out in the Esher area. The food is cooked fresh and is delicious. We went for the set menu with duck, beef and prawns - £25 per person. Very reasonable. We will be returning. Highly recommended.

Nice locals boozer. Went there as part of a 3-pub crawl around the town. Beer in good condition. Doorway to other bar has 'mind your head' sign on one side, but not the other. Be warned! My mate completely forgot about it and banged his head returning!

Absolutely wonderful little pub set very much in suburbia. The outdoor seating in the front as we entered was being well used with TVs up for football etc. The barman was very friendly as were the locals inside. And when the sign above the door says 'Mind your head', mind your bloody head!! It hurts!! Anyway, the Guinness was superb as was the Surrey Hills brewery Ranmore.

Charming traditional pub with a real fire, friendly doggies and great food. The people who run it seem lovely as well. Off the beaten track but definitely worth seeking out.

Since the beginning of my long weekend (retirement) I've visited lots of pubs on a fairly random basis. I visited the Griffin for a couple of hours on Wednesday. I can't remember the last time I've been in a pub with a saloon bar and a public bar. I was in the saloon bar, but would like to believe (though without confidence) that prices in the public bar were cheaper. Went in as the lunchtime food was finishing and it quickly went from being packed to being empty, though the public bar remained lively. Overall, service was good, beer was very good. First impression, a good pub.

Nadia was on it and general service is always on point. Very accommodating and just a great place to have lunch. Food is fresh (salads are awesome) and the waiters are always at hand. I am always a happy customer here. A big thanks to Nadia for being a star!

Food was nice, service was good. However 6 quid for a 330 ml glass of cider is outrageous. But 2 courses for 21.75 was good value. Also went to pay and was told "sorry, we don't accept cash". If you're going to have such a bizzare practice in place- you should tell people when they arrive, not after they have eaten and are at the point of paying.
