We've been a number of times over the years. We keep going back because the food is delicious, the steak and kidney pudding is my favourite, the calves liver is a very close second. Service is friendly and professional. And we're not hurried in any way. It's always a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

My first visit to the pub. We were there for a wedding reception. The staff were extremely friendly, polite and did a fantastic job. The food was delicious! I can't say more.... Other than try it for yourself. I'll be back to eat again.

Attended a Platinum Wedding Anniversary meal here for sixteen people. Good choices on the menu and truthfully one of the best meals l have ever had. Service, presentation & quality of food excellent. A lovely building and atmosphere, highly recommended.

Before I moved to epsom this was my local. I came here for a meal today and the service and staff were lovely. Beautiful food and warm cosy atmosphere. We are coming here again in January. You can’t beat the quality of the food here and the service. Thank you. Update - the grumpy mole did a fantastic job with my Nans wake yesterday the staff went above and beyond and the whole experience was very lovely. Thank you so much to all the team at grumpy mole. We really appreciate it. We also came here for my partners birthday. He had the steak on the stone and what a fantastic experience. The food here is top quality and the staff are so lovely. They go above and beyond here.

Lovely place, the food was great and our waitress was lovely. Very glad we tried here. It was very quiet when we came in but was a great meal.

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful! Everything was freshly cooked and even though we were a group of 10 people they managed to bring all the food out together and hot. The portion sizes are great and this is true home cooked food, not pre prepared microwaved stuff. Great value, great food, great service!

My wife and I had a lovely meal to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday evening, just a few weekends before Christmas. There was a huge Christmas party also there at the same time, but it just added to the atmosphere and didn’t impact anything. We had changed the time of our booking earlier in the day to an hour later. Thank you for accommodating us! The Chateaubriand steak for two wasn’t quite what we were expecting. It felt more like lots of cooked steaks all on one plate, but it was tasty nonetheless. The waitresses were lovely - very friendly and had good recommendations! We left very satisfied and are looking forward to returning again soon. Thank you

Visited on Sunday afternoon. 3 steaks, 2 lamb shanks and a Kids meal with a few drinks. The food was great and all the staff were helpful and friendly and even accommodating with a few adjustments to the meals. Would highly recommend. Make sure you book a table in advance.

Visited with a large group of hungry cyclists in folding bikes. The food was delicious. Had the Triple Roast (it was Sunday obviously) and the staff were very nice and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!!

We went today for a light lunch with our 4 month old puppy. The staff were lovely and friendly. We all very much enjoyed our food, steak and venison pie, gammon steak and lasagne. The pub had a very nice atmosphere and we will definitely visit again when we are in the area.

Visited for Sunday Roast. The service I wouldn’t say it was the best, but the roast was excellent! Really liked the mashed potatoes and the meat (I chose the turkey option). Would definitely recommend! Dog friendly.

My family and I spent Christmas day at the White Hart and were so pleased with our choice! Having not visited for some time we weren't sure on what to expect but we're incredibly impressed with every element. The service was warm and attentive. The food delicious, served hot and beautifully presented for every dish. The desserts were a table favourite for everyone. I wouldn't hesitate to go back for a meal in the future

Great, authentic country pub, just a few miles from Sutton. Food is excellent, great ambience, no TVs blaring, thankfully! Staff are very friendly and professional, great allergen knowledge, which is essential in restaurants these days! Prices are on the upper scale, but you get what you pay for, it is worth every penny!

We did the dog walk followed by lunch here and it was just lovely from beginning to end! Fab pub with a brilliant team. Great to have such a good community focused pub nearby!

We enjoyed a lovely birthday meal on a busy Thursday evening, in a great atmosphere. It was as busy as ever and the staff were still attentive. The food was really good too.

Great welcome with a lovely atmosphere. Staff went out of their way to make my birthday lunch a real treat. Chef was so good I bought him a drink. Electric car charging in the car park too. Great way to "fuel up" while you fuel up. Model of how Pubs need to be to survive. All Pubs with a car park need to pay attention to the opportunity that providing car charging can do to increasing their turn over.

Brilliant pub. Been coming here for years. Food & service has always been great. Today had the Chorizo Scotch Egg which was absolutely sublime 😍 and also the Chicken & Leek Pie. Look forward to visiting again soon

First time we had dinner here and we were not disappointed. The garden area was lovely and very lively especially the hottest day of the year 😁 the food was delicious 🤤 they have a good selection of main courses. I had the special chicken and leek pie 🥧 someone wrote a review to try the loaded fries because they are amazing and it is true!!

We went to have Sunday roast so we ordered drinks and roast dishes for 4 of us. The food was delicious but the waitress kept asking us what if we wanted to order more drinks or desserts but we didn’t want to. I feel that it’s a bit rude if you want to turn the table for other customers by keep asking what if we want to order more food or what if we want to pay bill 😤

This was my second visit, and once again, it exceeded my expectations! The three-course meal was absolutely delicious and offered excellent value for money. The service was outstanding, with staff making us feel welcome and well taken care of. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

Food was very delicious... staff very attentive considering how busy it was. The wine list is excellent. They could put on a better variety and more local ales instead of the bog standard what you see in alot of pubs. Extensive food choices, it was rather overwhelming with the amount of menu's however!

4.5/5 a unique and historic establishment with superb food. Food was very good, (I had Lamp Rump) portion size was adequate but I would have preferred some extra crispy potatoes! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Although I would expect glasses to be cleaner without water marks and stains on them. Atmosphere was perfect, I could talk to my party and hear them without anyone raising their voice. The unique architecture matched with patterned chairs and warm lighting was very cosy and welcoming.

Fabulous Food drink service atmosphere and decor love welcome for our dog we could not have wishes for a more perfect Sunday lunch a total credit to the management and the delightful staff . Dog friendly is so important to us and the fact that strangers even wanted to say hello really pleased us. Hats off to the kitchen team the place was packed med with locals it was a really nice family atmosphere every element of the pub was busy. Our only complaint is there is nothing like it in Our Kent village 😩happy 2025 guys we hope to see you very soon.

A very nice festive stop-off. Lovely and warn, a very cosy pub, and the food hit the spot !! Meals and drinks are very reasonably priced, and of very good quality. Very good service and atmosphere - plenty of seating choices for all preferences. Recommended and would definitely visit again.

Went for daughter's birthday and she enjoyed a what you get for your money meal there.Staff was helpful and friendly ,even when 2 drinks was accidentally spilled by kids and taking time with ordering. Would go back again. Thanks for making her birthday meal nice and easy!

My family and I visited during the holiday season. The food was very well presented and it was very tasty! What stuck with me the most, though, was the super friendly service. They made us feel at home with their humour and banter. 5 starts and we'll come back for the Sunday roast offer!

Really nice pub with very friendly staff. Food took quite a while to come out and they could do with a roast on the menu for Sundays. Starters had some missing toppings but they was busy that day and I didn't complain. Great if your a sports fan with lots of TV's. A little loud if you sit under the speakers but overall had a lovely experience here.
