Both my son and I were made to feel welcome on day 1. He went for the week long tutoring before the Kent test the week before the test itself. My son said he had a great time by the time Friday came and it didn’t feel like a school session at all they played games and had fun all through the week. After the test itself he stated he was so glad he had had this opportunity to practise as it made the test feel a lot easier. A weekly lesson has proved massively beneficial for my daughter. She started in September and, as I saw her confidence grow, and her Maths and English improve, we decided to continue for the rest of the school year. To our delight she was top in her year for maths homework, she was no where near this at the beginning. It was a real pinch myself moment! Her English too has improved, this extends into other subjects, making lessons all round better for her. She was not keen to go at first but as soon as she had her first lesson she was all in. I was so pleased for her and relieved that we decided to do this. Finally we are very grateful to her tutor for such amazing efforts. Thank you so much.

We cannot speak more highly of her exceptional teaching ability and particular skills in enhancing exam technique. Emma was always consistent in her ability to teach English to a very high standard whilst motivating our child to thrive in the subject. This resulted in our child achieving five marks below the maximum grade 9 in their GCSE exam. We think this speaks volumes of the standard and expertise that Emma provided and we would definitely recommend her as a tutor.

Teachers that were chosen to teach me the subjects were very kind and explained to me everything that i needed to know in detail even when i had problems with understanding. When there were problems they got sorted out quickly to not disturb my learning. Overall helped me achieve the grades that i wanted. Thank you!

I’ve had many English tutors throughout my GCSE studies but Emma has by far been the best one, she has helped me increase my grades in English by an incredible 5 grades in the short time she taught me (from my year 10 mock to my actual GCSE’s!). Emma gave me great advice on how to approach exam style questions including how to efficiently answer questions. Emma was able to identify exactly what I struggled with in English which I didn’t even know my self and worked on that issue which ultimately lead to me getting a grade 8 in English language. Emma is such an incredible teacher I would highly recommend her lessons!

Without Emma, I could never have achieved a grade 9 in both English literature and language. Before starting my tutoring, my grades were at 6’s and 7’s and I didn’t know what I could do better to improve them. But once Emma started tutoring me, I began to discover my strengths and weaknesses. She increased my confidence and is incredibly supportive and kind. She is an exceptional tutor and I am 100% positive that anyone who chooses her to tutor them, will definitely improve their grades and confidence in English.

I signed my daughter up to the kumon programme because she wasn’t very confident with Maths at school and I didn’t want her to dread her Maths lessons going forward. We have been at kumon for just over a year and she has just started Year 2 and loves Maths now and says it’s her favourite subject! I’m so pleased I made the decision to send her 😊 the Canterbury tutors are all really friendly and my daughter enjoyed going in to class every Saturday.

We've been using the Kumon Maths and English programmes at the Canterbury centre for more than five years. The Kumon team at Canterbury have been fantastic in supporting my child's learning and have helped my child develop a systematic approach to learning and have helped build confidence in studies. The Kumon system has a tailored approach where the pace of learning is set by the child, rather than a one size fits all. Our experience has been very positive. Highly recommended.

Marolyn is an experienced, excellent tutor. Expect to work hard and you will be in good hands. Our child needed to prepare for the Kent and Shepway Tests. Marolyn is a fantastic experienced tutor. My daughter came to Marolyn late on however she knew exactly what to work on and I knew that having Marolyn would give my daughter the best possible chance of passing. I have found out today my daughter has passed both the Shepway and Kent test. I would 100 percent recommend!
