From the moment we first met Sophie we knew instantly we found the right tutor. Approachable. Kind. Understanding. My daughter couldnt stop saying how wonderful she was. Nicola at Forest 1st Tutoring managed to work wonders in getting our daughter up to speed in time for the 11+ exam. I had never heard of 11 plus before speaking to a very friendly gentleman named Peter. My son gets extremely anxious around change and wanted to sit the 11 plus but was late to the party. He ended up doing the mock exams and intense workshops during the summer. He sat the 11 plus and achieved a high enough score to apply for both schools. Now I can honestly say he would not have even completed the exam had it not been for Pete and Franny. They didn’t just put me at ease but more importantly my son felt comfortable and at ease. I thought it was going to be hard to get him to go and learn in the summer but he enjoyed it and the way it was all taught. Cate is an excellent teacher for adults: patient, unpatronising, lively and witty. I have been having Spanish lessons with her for a few months and have made remarkable progress considering I started from scratch. The material she provides and way we are progressing is just right for an adult learner who comes at the learning in fits and bursts. As well as being erudite and a born linguist, Cate has a talent for meeting your needs with understanding and teaching pragmatic day-to-day constructions rather than school-book language.
