I wanted to review before my son gets his results back as largely the outcome is irrelevant to my feedback. Over the past months Anne has worked with Alf in a supportive and encouraging way. Stretching him for sure, but offering guidance, feedback and tutoring at an appropriate level through each stage of his learning journey. In that time I’ve seen his confidence and ability sky rocket and the complexity of the problems he’s now approaching are far in excess of what he was capable of last December. Throughout the process Anne has kept my son and I updated and informed, steered his independent learning to key areas he needed to strengthen and allowed him to shoot for a much higher target than - by his own admission - he ever expected to be capable of. I contacted Anne around 6 months before the GCSE exams. Anne gladly accommodated my twin daughters together in one session and nearer to exam time, at our request, individually. Both my girls lacked confidence in Maths and needed a boost to help improve their borderline grades. Anne worked solidly with the girls each session, and they quickly enjoyed attending, working on specific areas of difficulties and then past exam papers. Never once did my girls complain about their lessons with Anne which was such an improvement on their views about school lessons. They found her supportive, engaging and above all humorous! We look forward to getting the exam results. I can thoroughly recommend Anne, without hesitation. So pleased we found her.

My daughter has gained confidence in Maths since starting tutoring in Maths with Rutherford Tutoring. Anne always provides clear feedback and goals, excellent communication. She finds the best way of working with my daughter. My daughter has said she now understands areas of maths that she didn’t understand through learning at school. My daughter attended the 11+ tutoring in year5, from the first day she loved the sessions. Her abilities and confidence grew throughout the year, the support and belief showed by Lee helped immensely. Great advice on exam techniques, what to expect on the day and a big plus was the children being able to attend mock exams in a very similar set up to what they experience on the day with individually focussed feedback. Can’t recommend Lee and the team at Brighter Minds enough, whatever the outcome, what the children gain through their experience will stand them in good stead for the future.

Lee was recommended to us via a friend and what a recommendation! Our son had a wonderful experience and the benefits of Lee's tutoring helped build his confidence, as well as helped him prepare for his 11+. The advice, guidance and support Lee provided us as parents was invaluable as we supported our son through his preparations for the test. My two boys have both been taught by Peter and Franny. The weekly hub lessons really improved their confidence and gave them tactics for tackling questions. The mocks over the summer were great to get used to the exam format and made the real exam day much less daunting. Both passed. I had never heard of 11 plus before speaking to a very friendly gentleman named Peter. My son gets extremely anxious around change and wanted to sit the 11 plus but was late to the party. He ended up doing the mock exams and intense workshops during the summer. He sat the 11 plus and achieved a high enough score to apply for both schools. Now I can honestly say he would not have even completed the exam had it not been for Pete and Franny. They didn’t just put me at ease but more importantly my son felt comfortable and at ease. I thought it was going to be hard to get him to go and learn in the summer but he enjoyed it and the way it was all taught. I could not recommend Pete and Franny high enough a very personal touch from a family that cares about each individual. Thank you so much to both of you! “11 plus experts” is definitely just.

Poppy offers fantastic tuition. She is reliable, friendly and creative in her teaching approach to get the best out of your child. She supported my daughter, who has moderate dyslexia, through her English GCSE’s in year 11, and as a result of her highly personalised approach, my daughter went up 4 grades. The benefits of Poppy’s teaching were also seen in many of the other subjects that my daughter studied because she was able to help my daughter develop strategies in her approach to reading, comprehension and writing and we saw her confidence develop beyond recognition. When you have a learning difference, it’s not just about the effect on education, it is also about self-esteem. I cannot thank Poppy enough for helping my daughter to realise that she can be a high achiever and a confident learner. We decided to get a bit of last minute help for our daughter who was struggling with her GCSE English. Poppy was absolutely fantastic! She managed to fit us in for weekly slots at her busiest time of year, and was very accommodating. My daughter was suffering from extreme anxiety and Poppy was so calm, friendly and lovely to her, making revision much more understandable. Poppy has been working with my daughter who is ‘educated other than at school’ for 2 years now. A-level Maths tutoring. Mike was patient, calming and extremely encouraging the entire time he tutored with our son. They worked through papers together helping to grow our sons confidence in maths. He was always finding math problems to stretch and ensure concepts were understood. Always a pleasure to talk with and gave us regular feedback on how our son was progressing. I cannot thank Mike enough. My daughter has been working with Mike for the past year in A-level physics. In year 12, physics was her weakest subject and teachers were struggling to predict her an A. Mike helped her to regain her love and confidence in this subject and regular sessions with Mike helped her to tackle the more complex problems in past papers which helped her with her confidence. She had her results yesterday and achieved an amazing A* and secured a place in her first choice Russell group university to study engineering. No doubt we will engage with Mike again to help tutoring my younger children and I can only recommend him as a physics tutor if your student is aspiring for high A-level grades.

Our son has been on his learning journey with Jerome since year 3 when we noticed our child was starting to become disinterested & limited in what was being provided in his classroom. I must say that booking mock tests and study sessions with Kingsbury education to help my daughter pass the 11+ was one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Not only she got a very solid passing grade but she also got 100% on the English test, which is amazing, especially considering she is not a native English speaker. If you are considering hiring tutoring for the 11+ I would definitely recommend you look into booking it with Kingsbury education.

We used Kingsbury for our daughter to prep for the Bournemouth Grammar School 11+ entrance test. We used every aspect of their services including free parents evening (well worth it!), weekly hour-long hub tuition, weekly online sub-club for homework, intensive coaching holiday sessions and mock exams. It was all excellent and taught in a group format, which our daughter enjoyed as it’s nice to be surrounded by peers striving for the same thing. I think the most valuable thing was the intensive coaching and mock exams. They go hand in hand during the holidays and it’s worth doing the mock exam on the Saturday and the intensive coaching on the Sunday as Pete and Franny often pick out things that were tricky from the day before! Our daughter met the Parkstone criteria but didn’t quite reach the Bournemouth criteria however we couldn’t be prouder and Kingsbury really helped her on her way. She’ll now have a lovely head start going into any secondary school and it’s built her confidence too. Thanks Pete & Franny!

We are very happy with the tuition our daughter got from Richard last year. His lessons are tailored to every child's need; increasing in difficulty as the child progresses. Richard will spend extra time with a particular child if he/she needs extra help. Towards the end, the homework our daughter would get from Richard got harder, therefore our daughter found grammar school test not as hard and passed it easily. When our other daughter and son are old enough, we would happily send them to Richard for extra tuition. Linda and Alfred.
