Amelia has been helping me prepare for university Maths for the past year and a half. She has been extremely helpful in teaching me so much that my school never taught and my understanding of Maths is at a significantly higher level because of it. I was able to bring questions of high difficultly (ie. step questions) that we would work through together, hence not only giving me the answer but showing how to get to the answer. Poppy offers fantastic tuition. She is reliable, friendly and creative in her teaching approach to get the best out of your child. She supported my daughter, who has moderate dyslexia, through her English GCSE’s in year 11, and as a result of her highly personalised approach, my daughter went up 4 grades. The benefits of Poppy’s teaching were also seen in many of the other subjects that my daughter studied because she was able to help my daughter develop strategies in her approach to reading, comprehension and writing and we saw her confidence develop beyond recognition. When you have a learning difference, it’s not just about the effect on education, it is also about self-esteem. I cannot thank Poppy enough for helping my daughter to realise that she can be a high achiever and a confident learner. We decided to get a bit of last minute help for our daughter who was struggling with her GCSE English. Poppy was absolutely fantastic! She managed to fit us in for weekly slots at her busiest time of year, and was very accommodating. Poppy has literally changed my daughters life in Maths, before Poppy she had very little confidence in her own ability and was really struggling. Barney has been the most incredible tutor for my daughter. She started tuition with Barney during her Maths A level course. At that time she was predicted a C grade and lacked a lot of confidence in the subject. With weekly sessions with Barney she has achieved A grades in all her school assessments and has now been predicted an A grade and has been offered places at all the universities she has applied to. Barney taught her everything in a way that she immediately understood and remembered. He gave her the confidence she needed to achieve her potential. Barney has been an incredible tutor over the past year! During my A-Levels he has helped me to achieve a grade A in Maths and as a result I am now studying at Exeter University. One thing that separated him from other tutors which helped immensely, was his his willingness to help outside of our tutor hour. I was able to ask him questions from work he had set me or any other problems I was stuck on and he would get back to me quickly with an explanation, saving me time rather than waiting until our next session.

We are very happy with the tuition our daughter got from Richard last year. His lessons are tailored to every child's need; increasing in difficulty as the child progresses. Richard will spend extra time with a particular child if he/she needs extra help. Towards the end, the homework our daughter would get from Richard got harder, therefore our daughter found grammar school test not as hard and passed it easily. A-level Maths tutoring. Mike was patient, calming and extremely encouraging the entire time he tutored with our son. They worked through papers together helping to grow our sons confidence in maths. I cannot thank Mike enough. My daughter has been working with Mike for the past year in A-level physics. In year 12, physics was her weakest subject and teachers were struggling to predict her an A. Mike helped her to regain her love and confidence in this subject and regular sessions with Mike helped her to tackle the more complex problems in past papers which helped her with her confidence. She had her results yesterday and achieved an amazing A* and secured a place in her first choice Russell group university to study engineering. I contacted Anne around 6 months before the GCSE exams. Anne gladly accommodated my twin daughters together in one session and nearer to exam time, at our request, individually. Both my girls lacked confidence in Maths and needed a boost to help improve their borderline grades. I heard about this Pre-U Spanish tuition through a friend and within a day of contacting BLT I was able to arrange sessions twice a week with my tutor. They are also extremely accommodating in finding a time that suits me for the tutoring sessions. BLT has provided me with a fantastic Pre-U Spanish tutor. I am able to Skype him online alongside a live Google document so that any of my answers to the grammar questions can be seen by him and marked during the session. He is incredibly encouraging, always pushing me to my full potential, not to mention flexible so that I can focus on whichever areas I am struggling with if needed. Before I started tutoring, my grades were consistently on an M3. Since starting sessions with my BLT tutor, my grades have significantly improved and I am feeling far more prepared to sit the exam this May. I have never once been made to feel stupid asking any question which has increased my confidence and made my experience so enjoyable. I am feeling so much more confident about my French after starting tuition with BLT. I was able to book sessions the day I got in touch with them, and have since noticed a significant development in all areas of my French. The use of Face Time while using an online document makes the process really easy in terms of communication, and there is always flexibility in terms of fitting in sessions around my schedule. I have also noticed not only an improvement in quality, but also in enjoyment, something I’ve never previously found in the subject, and I’m really grateful to my tutor for teaching me in a way that’s made me really begin to enjoy it. I started using BLT almost two years ago, to help with my Spanish classes at school.
