I am feeling so much more confident about my French after starting tuition with BLT. I was able to book sessions the day I got in touch with them, and have since noticed a significant development in all areas of my French. The use of Face Time while using an online document makes the process really easy in terms of communication, and there is always flexibility in terms of fitting in sessions around my schedule. I have also noticed not only an improvement in quality, but also in enjoyment, something I’ve never previously found in the subject, and I’m really grateful to my tutor for teaching me in a way that’s made me really begin to enjoy it. Aaron, my French and Spanish tutor is so passionate about the subjects he teaches, and makes the lessons fun as well as intellectually challenging. He has really given me confidence in my ability and sets out what he wants to achieve in the lessons. He learns your learning style, and adapts his lessons to compliment this. He is a brilliant teacher, who is always helpful and really outgoing, and wants to bring out the best in everyone.

I started using BLT almost two years ago, to help with my Spanish classes at school. In fact, it helped me so much that I was able to pick up French at school instead of Spanish, and carry on my Spanish lessons with Aaron outside of school, without missing a beat! I heard about this Pre-U Spanish tuition through a friend and within a day of contacting BLT I was able to arrange sessions twice a week with my tutor. They are also extremely accommodating in finding a time that suits me for the tutoring sessions. BLT has provided me with a fantastic Pre-U Spanish tutor. I am able to Skype him online alongside a live Google document so that any of my answers to the grammar questions can be seen by him and marked during the session. He is incredibly encouraging, always pushing me to my full potential, not to mention flexible so that I can focus on whichever areas I am struggling with if needed. Before I started tutoring, my grades were consistently on an M3. Since starting sessions with my BLT tutor, my grades have significantly improved and I am feeling far more prepared to sit the exam this May. I have never once been made to feel stupid asking any question which has increased my confidence and made my experience so enjoyable. As a secondary teacher, I can wholeheartedly recommend Lee. His statistical approach is very reassuring to parents, and he knows his stuff! He also has a pragmatic approach to teaching 10 year old boys, and knows that a lollipop can go a long way towards motivating them. My son enjoyed his tuition, despite not being a school- lover. My daughter attended the 11+ tutoring in year5, from the first day she loved the sessions. Her abilities and confidence grew throughout the year, the support and belief showed by Lee helped immensely. Great advice on exam techniques, what to expect on the day and a big plus was the children being able to attend mock exams in a very similar set up to what they experience on the day with individually focussed feedback. Barney has been the most incredible tutor for my daughter. She started tuition with Barney during her Maths A level course. At that time she was predicted a C grade and lacked a lot of confidence in the subject. With weekly sessions with Barney she has achieved A grades in all her school assessments and has now been predicted an A grade and has been offered places at all the universities she has applied to. Barney taught her everything in a way that she immediately understood and remembered. He gave her the confidence she needed to achieve her potential. Barney is an excellent maths tutor. He is very knowledgeable and can answer and explain any question straight away. He is very organised knows the syllabus and how to attack it. He is also very patient and able to motivate his students. We were lucky enough to have Barney tutor my daughter with her A Level maths which we are both very grateful to him for all his help.

I can’t recommend Matt more highly. We signed up for maths tutoring with Matt fairly late in the year, with only about 6 weeks until the exams were to begin; mainly because our son was really struggling with confidence about his maths. The pressure to pass was making revision seem totally overwhelming. Matt was such a fantastic tutor. Not only did he help to make sense of the areas of maths which were a struggle, but he also subtly coached our son to have a positive mindset. Having been hugely reluctant to begin his tutoring, he very quickly looked forward to the sessions and came away like a different person - much less stressed, and confident to tackle his exams. My daughter started seeing Damion in December after her mock result was a 2-. She’s just got her gcse results and achieved a 4! Damion is very patient especially when my daughter lacked confidence in maths, she said he explained things in a way she understood. Damion arrives very promptly with all the equipment they need in individual boxes numbered for each student. Damion regularly printed off past exam papers as ‘homework’ and went through her red/amber/greens with her to make sure she stayed on track. Really recommend Sum Maths!

What a wonderful tutor! Full of enthusiasm and energy. He is a natural and passionate teacher explaining complex mathematical formula in a simple language that was set just right for my child. He was incredibly knowledgeable and up to date with the curriculum and content of different exam boards. He would always give 100% in each and every session. Leaving homework and tailoring each session to the students requirements. We had sessions once a fortnight to facilitate our budget which Damian was more than happy to accommodate. Nothing was ever too much trouble. An incredible tutor who I would always feel comfortable with in our home!

Can't recommend Exeter Tutors highly enough, our tutor Stephanie was kind and patient with our daughter and instilled a lot of exam confidence as well as teaching some top tips. We booked a summer course and mock exams through their partner company too, all of which were equally as good.

Exeter Tutors paired my son with a tutor called George to support his 11+ preparations. George is an excellent tutor, very friendly, relaxed and patient, and is very experienced. Tutoring was generally in person but occasionally online and both worked really well. Exeter Tutors are great to deal with and Ruth kept all the parents up to date on the latest expectations from Colyton as they changed their exam providers causing some uncertainty.

Jane tutored both my sons from years 4-6 and I would highly recommend her. She is calm, professional & organised and excelled in developing the boys’ confidence. I was impressed by her understanding of the different personality and needs of my children and her ability to individualise her teaching to suit the child. The boys looked forward to and enjoyed their weekly sessions with Jane and I cannot thank her enough for the confidence and grounding that she gave them.

Cate is an excellent teacher for adults: patient, unpatronising, lively and witty. I have been having Spanish lessons with her for a few months and have made remarkable progress considering I started from scratch. We have had a very positive experience with science tutoring for GCSEs using this site. The tutor Marta is very professional and friendly and my boys have enjoyed the process and I am certain it has improved their grades. The online classroom worked very well and I would highly recommend.
