Sam is a very hard worker and his work is of the very highest quality. I would recommend him to anyone to do a very good job. I had painting, slabs re-setting, and gutterings to alter and he did it all very quietly and with no fuss. A very nice young man. I will be using his services again soon to get the house ready for the winter.

Sam has just completed an impressive job on the internal painting of my house, including the repair of several settlement cracks, some quite large (it's as if they never existed!) He is a very hard worker and does a pristine job. He is also a very pleasant person and has been accommodating to my requests for various smaller jobs around the house, tackling them with efficiency and good humour. I would most definitely recommend Sam for your property maintenance requirements.

I can highly recommend Sam. He recently replaced the fence on one side of our back garden: not a straightforward job requiring some planning and much hard work removing the old posts. The new fence was left in a neat and tidy state. Sam did equally excellent work a couple of years ago when he replaced the fence on the other side of the garden and painted the front of our house.

I would personally like to thank Matty,Matt,Steve and Callum for completing our project for our new garden wall. The gentleman were professional tidy great sense of humor and delivered what was required for our garden giving us privacy and framing our garden with a lovely 3 foot wall with 6 foot piers and 3 foot double contemporary panels. My experience with MB builders was faultless from the initial consultation and quote I was told what to expect given a start date and a price that could not be beaten. When work began I was kept informed of progress and was made to feel like they cared about my input and they could not have done any more my expectations where surpassed when the project was completed it looked better than I could have ever imagined from the initial photo I had shown to Matty on what I was looking for. We have used Matt and his team on several occasions and have always been highly satisfied with his work. We had a kitchen extension built on the rear of our house which involved knocking through and this was done with as little disruption to our lives as possible. Matt kept us updated each step of the way and always turned up when he said he was going to. The work was done to a high standard and we were so pleased we had mb builders back again to complete our block paved driveway. Once again we couldn't fault Matt and the team. We how have a garden project that we will be calling upon them for later this year. Highly recommend.

James and his team have made a wonderful job of our loft conversion, although it’s much more than that. Upstairs, we now have a lovely additional double bedroom and large bathroom and the changes to the hallway and staircase are fantastic. There have also been changes to one of the rooms downstairs, which is much better now the chimney breast is removed. We have a new front door and the whole roof has been retiled. The dormer blends in really well and we love our new round window. Overall, its created so much more space and the finish is first class. We couldn’t be happier. Everyone involved has been highly professional and polite. Importantly, communication with James has been excellent throughout. His monthly invoicing is very clear and easy to understand. We have no hesitation in recommending James Newsam Construction to anyone looking for a high quality building company.

We appointed James in January 2024 to extend our separate kitchen & dining rooms, turning them into a light and airy open-plan kitchen and living space. James is extremely efficient, polite, and respectful. Working with a 1930s house it was inevitable that there would be some structural challenges, but James worked with us, keeping us informed and involved as we devised solutions together. His team are all very polite, deliver work of excellent quality, and clearly enjoy their work and working together. As a result, I was able to continue working from home for much of the project, which saved us considerable expense. Working with James meant that we did not have to project manage the work - he has all the contacts you need - tilers, decorators, suppliers of windows, electricians, plumbers etc. We would definitely recommend James and would happily work with him again.

Trevor provides a fantastic service. He is very professional, but also friendly, which is important when you've go someone in your house. He came and put in 3 shelves in my airing cupboard, fitted around my water tank and he did a great job. Wasn't sure I would be able to get 3 shelves, but he managed it and they look awesome. I would recommend Trevor to anyone needing some handyman work done in their house. Will be using him again for more work for sure! Thanks Trevor

Moved house 7 weeks ago and had a long list of things to get done from shelves in the kitchen/utility, a shed to build, a garden office to finish and so on. Trevor is working his way through the list and everything is done to a high standard. He has such a broad range of skills, never over commits and is reliable. He is also a very decent guy. Recommend him highly for a wide range of jobs.

What a nice knowlegable guy. Trevor came at short notice and fitted a floating console unit, hung a picture and levelled off some seriously off level cupboard doors. I could not be more pleased with what he did, the way he works and how respectfully he treated my property. Highly recommended.

Best Handyman you'll ever have. Completes every task with attention to detail and always has a solution if there's a hitch. You'll have to book him well in advance but it's worth the wait. George is a thoroughly honest and decent person and his modest charges reflect this. He perfectly installed our wall panels and much, much more.

Can’t recommend George enough! He worked through a list of jobs on the first visit from blinds to my garden gate and then he built the most awesome media wall for me in less than 2 days finished and painted whilst fitting in other little jobs. He is unfazed by any jobs and is awesome at woodwork. Professional and friendly I highly recommend him!

Joel did a fantastic job putting up three sets of Venetian blind's, a curtain pole and a wall mount for our TV. He arrived promptly and competed the work within a few hours. His work was professional, neat and tidy. We would definitely use him again and recommend him.

Joel has just completed our garden…... beautifully laid decking, regrouting the tiles so they now look brand new, laying sleepers and even making a wooden arch to fit perfectly across our path. The guy is a genius with a wonderful cheerful attitude, wouldn’t hesitate to use him again 😄
