Joel, Woodland Handyman Services, did a fantastic job repairing my storm damaged wooden fence last week. Joel gave a competitive quote for the work and completed the job in a few hours and left my property very clean. Would highly recommend Joel.

Joel has just completed our garden…... beautifully laid decking, regrouting the tiles so they now look brand new, laying sleepers and even making a wooden arch to fit perfectly across our path. The guy is a genius with a wonderful cheerful attitude, wouldn’t hesitate to use him again 😄

Joel built a stud wall and fitted two new doorways for me to create two separate rooms in my home. He also built my decking and fitted artificial turf in my garden. We needed various jobs done around our home as we were preparing to move out: replacing a hob top, fixing a dent in a door, replacing curtain fixtures, rebuilding drawers, etc. All of the work was done to an excellent standard, done quickly and professionally, and we couldn't be more pleased. We are definitely calling again for our new home because we feel safe and comfortable that the job will be done right!

What a fantastic service, would highly recommend. Ellis supplied and fitted a new side gate, of excellent quality and dug out an old manhole cover and surround, then cemented in a new surround, filling in holes found when digging out the old one. Ellis is a very personable, efficient workman with good honest communication and time keeping.

We highly recommend Ellis. I’m the 1st to admit I have very high standards. Ellis has impressed me so much, that he is now definitely my go to on any other projects or problems I might need help with. We’ve had an issue where rain water kept flooding our kitchen. We’ve invested so much time, money and effort to no avail. But our luck changed once we approached Ellis. After some thorough investigation, he managed to find the problem areas. Due to the severity of the problem, he was quick to resolve the issues. He is a genius, as he has managed to achieve where 3 companies before him failed. He is also a clean and tidy worker and is very approachable.

We were thrilled with the work of George The Handyman. We have already had him return to do more jobs around our home. George helped us with a broad range of tasks, including fixing door handles, hanging mirrors, installing floating oak shelves, redoing bathroom silicone, attaching child-safe furniture straps, installing a water butt and wallpapering, as well as building us bespoke made-to-measure shelves in our lounge, plus much more! Best Handyman you'll ever have. Completes every task with attention to detail and always has a solution if there's a hitch. You'll have to book him well in advance but it's worth the wait. George is a thoroughly honest and decent person and his modest charges reflect this. He perfectly installed our wall panels and much, much more.

Can’t recommend George enough! He worked through a list of jobs on the first visit from blinds to my garden gate and then he built the most awesome media wall for me in less than 2 days finished and painted whilst fitting in other little jobs. James and his entire team have been wonderful, polite, tidy and very professional.James himself is always available if there any problems. He has some great tradesmen working with him and nothing is too much trouble. We are very pleased with the extension/ knock through and new kitchen, and would strongly recommend him.

We appointed James in January 2024 to extend our separate kitchen & dining rooms, turning them into a light and airy open-plan kitchen and living space. James is extremely efficient, polite, and respectful. Working with a 1930s house it was inevitable that there would be some structural challenges, but James worked with us, keeping us informed and involved as we devised solutions together. His team are all very polite, deliver work of excellent quality, and clearly enjoy their work and working together. As a result, I was able to continue working from home for much of the project, which saved us considerable expense. Working with James meant that we did not have to project manage the work - he has all the contacts you need - tilers, decorators, suppliers of windows, electricians, plumbers etc. We would definitely recommend James and would happily work with him again.

James and his team have done it again! Kitchen design is from Yanni at Howdens, who was excellent. Andy, the carpenter who works with James did a wonderful job installing the kitchen and wardrobes. James and his team have made a wonderful job of our loft conversion, although it’s much more than that. Upstairs, we now have a lovely additional double bedroom and large bathroom and the changes to the hallway and staircase are fantastic. There have also been changes to one of the rooms downstairs, which is much better now the chimney breast is removed. We have a new front door and the whole roof has been retiled. The dormer blends in really well and we love our new round window. Overall, its created so much more space and the finish is first class. We couldn’t be happier. Everyone involved has been highly professional and polite. Importantly, communication with James has been excellent throughout. His monthly invoicing is very clear and easy to understand. We have no hesitation in recommending James Newsam Construction to anyone looking for a high quality building company.

Trevor advertises as a handyman, but he is much more than that. He is a precision handyman. He always plans his work carefully, and then executes that plan with great accuracy. He has done 5 jobs for us now, the latest was the complete installation of a kitchen. The kitchen was from a mid-range supplier, Wren, but thanks to Trevor's attention to detail it looks like a kitchen that would have cost twice the price.

We contacted Trevor to help solve some issues after being let down by a builder. Trevor is friendly, arrived when he said he would and has helped to complete our new kitchen. He is very professional and pays attention to detail, a true craftsman. We do not hesitate to recommend Trevor 🙂

Trevor provides a fantastic service. He is very professional, but also friendly, which is important when you've go someone in your house. He came and put in 3 shelves in my airing cupboard, fitted around my water tank and he did a great job. Wasn't sure I would be able to get 3 shelves, but he managed it and they look awesome.
