Absolutely brilliant guy who accomplished putting new solar lights on the fence, preparing a new pot for a rose tree, putting the TV tightly back on it's base, taking out an unusable YouView box, mounting a block of wood to hold a curtain pole on the wall, siliconing the joints in the conservatory and painting windowsills in under 4 hours, with lovely manners and conscientiousness. Then doesn't charge very much and has a van with his name on!

Roof Re-tiling We are delighted with the new roof on our bungalow. David and all those involved acted very professionally throughout. The level of communication and advice provided was excellent. Every question was comprehensively answered – no query was too much trouble. The project was completed on-time and on budget. Lucasz, Harry and Bobby worked diligently and tidied up very well at the end. They were unfailingly polite, reliable and hard working. The scaffolders were also excellent. The new roof comes with an insurance-backed warranty. David is very knowledgeable, approachable and exhibits excellent customer relations. Over the weekend in the middle of the project we were away from the property. A major storm occurred and David and Lucasz checked our property twice each day just to be sure all was well. We are extremely grateful for that. David undertook the reconfiguration of our chimneys some years earlier and so we were familiar with his high standard of workmanship.

We are very happy to recommend Straightline Building. They did lots of repointing work, rebuilt the back wall of our garage, replacing lintels, wooden garage door, rebuilt house door steps, renovated a window frame and down pipe, repaired part of the wall of the house. They were very knowledgeable and professional, worked hard, friendly and took real pride in the work. I also appreciated the update photos and videos.

Josh and his team came in Dec 2023 to repoint above our back door and along the garden wall as well as rebuild our brick pillars for the fence where they had been significantly weather worn. We are extremely happy with the work he and his team provided. His team worked efficiently and produced a very high standard of work. Communication was brilliant, the team were all polite and considerate of us working from home (special thanks for keeping the noise down during meetings and interviews!) and Josh kept us in the loop with any developments (including bad weather days!). The team were also very tidy and kept the area clean at the end of each day. Josh and his team were great and (having got several quotes for the same work) I can also add that they were competitively priced.

Josh and his team have just finished excellent work on our roof, they demolished and rebuilt the chimney stack , which was wobbling and dangerous,removed old rendering and re- rendered again as well as repairs to broken tiles and ridge tiles. He sent videos and photos every step of the way so we could see the progress. He was very pleasant, respectful and helpful. They left everything clean and tidy. Would highly recommend

We are absolutely delighted with the work Josh and his team carried out on our Victorian house. From quoting to finishing the job, Josh kept us informed throughout, providing photos and updates. Having bought the house last year, a lot of repair work needs doing, Josh and his team carried out a chimney removal, stone wall renovation and repointing, remodellling of concrete in garden, partial fascia and gutter upgrades, and render repairs. Everything has been done to a very high standard and looks amazing!! Nothing was too much trouble. They all worked so hard, and were a pleasure to have around! We are having them back to do more renovation in the future. Such a lovely bunch of lads, would highly recommend Straightline Building Services.

Great experience working with Ellis. He has a "can do" approach, he charges fairly and he won't leave you with an unfinished job to figure out yourself. Great timekeeping, he cleans up any mess before he leaves and he is good at what he does. Very easy to work with and you can be confident the job will get done with a good finish.

What a fantastic service, would highly recommend. Ellis supplied and fitted a new side gate, of excellent quality and dug out an old manhole cover and surround, then cemented in a new surround, filling in holes found when digging out the old one. Ellis is a very personable, efficient workman with good honest communication and time keeping.

We’ve invested so much time, money and effort to no avail. But our luck changed once we approached Ellis. After some thorough investigation, he managed to find the problem areas. Due to the severity of the problem, he was quick to resolve the issues. He is a genius, as he has managed to achieve where 3 companies before him failed.
