I'm very impressed with my dealings with this business and the work carried out in my bathroom to address mould and paint issues, which went above and beyond what I'd expected. Pleasant, punctual and professional. I'd been let down in the past and also work by previous contractors needed to be corrected. Happy to recommend and consider for future work.

We needed various jobs done around our home as we were preparing to move out: replacing a hob top, fixing a dent in a door, replacing curtain fixtures, rebuilding drawers, etc. All of the work was done to an excellent standard, done quickly and professionally, and we couldn't be more pleased. We are definitely calling again for our new home because we feel safe and comfortable that the job will be done right!

Ed was really positive from the very start. I asked if he could increase a fitted wardrobe opening and then fit sliding wardrobe doors, within this new space. He honestly informed me, ( his honesty came across as a part of his personality ) that he had never undertaken this before, but he agreed to do it. Ed arrived when he said he would, was pleasant throughout, worked efficiently and was extremely clean and tidy. I am very pleased with the result and would have no hesitation in recommending Ed.

Joel built a stud wall and fitted two new doorways for me to create two separate rooms in my home. He also built my decking and fitted artificial turf in my garden. Joel has just completed our garden…... beautifully laid decking, regrouting the tiles so they now look brand new, laying sleepers and even making a wooden arch to fit perfectly across our path. The guy is a genius with a wonderful cheerful attitude, wouldn’t hesitate to use him again 😄

I would personally like to thank Matty,Matt,Steve and Callum for completing our project for our new garden wall. The gentleman were professional tidy great sense of humor and delivered what was required for our garden giving us privacy and framing our garden with a lovely 3 foot wall with 6 foot piers and 3 foot double contemporary panels. My experience with MB builders was faultless from the initial consultation and quote I was told what to expect given a start date and a price that could not be beaten. When work began I was kept informed of progress and was made to feel like they cared about my input and they could not have done any more my expectations where surpassed when the project was completed it looked better than I could have ever imagined from the initial photo I had shown to Matty on what I was looking for. We have used Matt and his team on several occasions and have always been highly satisfied with his work. We had a kitchen extension built on the rear of our house which involved knocking through and this was done with as little disruption to our lives as possible. Matt kept us updated each step of the way and always turned up when he said he was going to. The work was done to a high standard and we were so pleased we had mb builders back again to complete our block paved driveway. Once again we couldn't fault Matt and the team. We how have a garden project that we will be calling upon them for later this year. Highly recommend.

James and his team were absolutely superb from start to finish. He is polite, punctual and very quick with responding to questions and queries. The work was completed to a very high standard, ahead of schedule and on budget. All of James’ staff were easy to have around the busy family home. They even bring their own toilet and are self sufficient regarding hot drinks etc I would not hesitate to book James again and will only use him and his team if we decide to have any future work done. We had been left in a mess due to a rogue builder and I can’t thank him enough for fitting us in early, making us feel like a priority and completing the work so quickly.

James and his team have made a wonderful job of our loft conversion, although it’s much more than that. Upstairs, we now have a lovely additional double bedroom and large bathroom and the changes to the hallway and staircase are fantastic. There have also been changes to one of the rooms downstairs, which is much better now the chimney breast is removed. We have a new front door and the whole roof has been retiled. The dormer blends in really well and we love our new round window. Overall, its created so much more space and the finish is first class. We couldn’t be happier. Everyone involved has been highly professional and polite. Importantly, communication with James has been excellent throughout. His monthly invoicing is very clear and easy to understand. We have no hesitation in recommending James Newsam Construction to anyone looking for a high quality building company.

We appointed James in January 2024 to extend our separate kitchen & dining rooms, turning them into a light and airy open-plan kitchen and living space. James is extremely efficient, polite, and respectful. Working with a 1930s house it was inevitable that there would be some structural challenges, but James worked with us, keeping us informed and involved as we devised solutions together. His team are all very polite, deliver work of excellent quality, and clearly enjoy their work and working together. As a result, I was able to continue working from home for much of the project, which saved us considerable expense. Working with James meant that we did not have to project manage the work - he has all the contacts you need - tilers, decorators, suppliers of windows, electricians, plumbers etc. We would definitely recommend James and would happily work with him again.

James and his team have done it again! Kitchen design is from Yanni at Howdens, who was excellent. Andy, the carpenter who works with James did a wonderful job installing the kitchen and wardrobes.
