We've been taking our vehicles to Automek Services for over 15 years and we have always been looked after extremely well. They are approachable, always polite and cheerful. We have always felt that not only have we been well looked after by them but that no 'unnecessary' work has ever been carried out and they always inform us of what the problem is and give us an estimate before carrying out any work so we don't end up with an unexpectedly massive bill - something which unfortunately doesn't seem to happen with the bigger companies! This guy is great, I have used him now for 3-4 years for my aircon needs and he is the bees knees. He also does a lot of other work and is very friendly when you ask him what he is doing! For talking to him he is very knowledgable and my regular mechanic did well in recommending him. I like to support local small business like my own.

After taking my a3 to a national known company to recharge my air con twice and they couldn’t find why it was losing it. So I called Allen from cool it explained the situation. He said bring up and I’ll find the fault within 15 minutes. So dropped the car out and he actually found the problem within a minute. My condenser radiator had been damaged. He was straight on the phone to find out a price for me which was very reasonable. So i told him to order it and I’ll would drop the car back when the part was in. Fitted the new condenser radiator within a few hours and recharge the air con! Even gave me a courtesy car for the few hours. High recommend this chap to anyone. DONT go to big national companies who just want to take your money. 5 stars

Absolutely fantastic service. He agreed to see me at short notice, spent 10 minutes diagnosing the problem and another 20 minutes fixing it, and also fixed a dodgy headlamp that had blown. What this guy doesn't know about cars isn't worth knowing. Incredibly knowledgeable and an interesting professional history. I wish I lived nearer so I could take my car all the time to be fixed by him. Thanks for a great service. We made it from Dorchester to Scotland with air conditioning working gloriously all the way, for which I'm so grateful!

Friendly staff who fitted me in last minute to check what I thought was a problem only to find that after they lifted the car and looked underneath, it was actually fine and didn't need anything done. Told me they weren't going to charge me anything, either, really kind of them. Thank you so much. Definitely recommended!

Roger and the team were so helpful at short notice. They diagnosed electrical faults with my car, which another garage had failed to do, carried out the necessary repairs, and our car was ready for collection in no time at all. My wife and I are so grateful as the car had caused us a great deal of distress over several months. The service we received was second to none, very good communication and a sympathetic ear. Absolutely fantastic garage, honest, good prices and real personal touch to every job. My whole family use them and I have taken multiple different cars here with multiple different issues (none of which Mercedes). They talk you through quotes and why certain things need doing. Tell you what is needed, what is recommended alongside this, and the reasons why. Sometimes can’t get through on the phone as they are very busy, but leave a message and you will 100% get a call back. I now live 2 hours away but still use them as I have family who live near-bye, always a quick turn around and fair quotes, have never let me down with their service and general advice, even if not using them for that specific job, always happy to help with recommendations and the aftercare is great. They also dropped my car to the other side of Dorchester to make my life easier. Things like this just top off the already 5* service. If you’re looking for a garage to trust and build a relationship with, this is the place to go, would recommend them to anyone and give more than 5* if I could!
