Jane has been tutoring my son and helping him with his maths and he has already made great progress in his learning in a short time. Jane has tutored 2 of my children for the 11+ grammar school exams and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Both of my children lacked confidence in their ability and Jane made the lessons fun and something they both looked forward to. When it came to the exams both children were excited to be able to show what they could achieve - she taught them how to cope with the pressure, exam techniques as well as helping to strengthen their ability in math and english - both sailed through the 11+ and have continued to do well after such a fantastic grounding. I have already signed Jane up to help my youngest child when the time arrives. Jane is honest, incredibly diligent and genuinely cares deeply for the children she works with.

Jane tutored both my sons from years 4-6 and I would highly recommend her. She is calm, professional & organised and excelled in developing the boys’ confidence. I was impressed by her understanding of the different personality and needs of my children and her ability to individualise her teaching to suit the child. Marta tutors me in maths and science at GCSE level. I have M.E/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and have been ill for over 3 years, this means I am unable to access mainstream education or medical tuition. Marta is brilliant at adapting to my changing health, she is able to teach her lessons in a way that I am able to remember the information. She has many techniques to help me achieve this, for example using coloured pens. She never gets exasperated even when I ask the same question many times, and will continue to explain it until I understand and am able to retain the information. Also she is very understanding even if I can’t always manage the homework due to my poor health. I thoroughly enjoy my sessions and learn a lot. I can’t recommend Marta enough, and she is especially brilliant if you have any extra needs.

Marta has been really beneficial to my son in the past 3 years, we started with Marta when my son was in Year 9, he is now in the midst of his GCSE's and asking me to book extras lessons. He has improved so much that he is now doing the higher level Maths paper. Marta is incredible she is very patience, happy to go over things several time and provide extra lessons. We first came across Marta/Somerset Private Tutor when my Son was in Year 9 and struggling to access mainstream education due to Autism/Anxiety/School related Anxiety etc. We started off using Marta to help support my Son with missed lessons. Two and a half years later and my son has just completed GCSEs having been homeschooled for the last two years. Marta has educated him in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Without Marta's expert help we would not have got there. The level of service is superb and Marta was able to make adaptations to support my Son's individual requirements. The level of communication has been brilliant. The service is flexible to accommodate the individual child. We also had the added advantage that my Son's education was not disrupted during the Covid lockdowns as on-line lessons continued as normal. I am so pleased with how this has turned out for my son.

Can’t recommend Marta highly enough! She was extremely helpful and understanding when our daughter needed to come out of school at the end of year 10 due to physical and emotional difficulties in attending school. She has worked hard with our daughter to find any gaps and weaknesses in her knowledge of the subjects (all 3 sciences and maths), and has built her confidence in her abilities. Lee was recommended to us via a friend and what a recommendation! As a secondary teacher, I can wholeheartedly recommend Lee. His statistical approach is very reassuring to parents, and he knows his stuff! I have been looking for a long time for somewhere to learn German where I feel encouraged, relaxed and able to make mistakes without judgement. I am so delighted to have found Rails Farm and Christoph and Gabby. They provide a welcoming, positive environment and Christoph is a wonderful tutor giving structured group classes with great knowledge, empathy and humour. It is also so helpful to have a native speaker. I have already recommended Rails Farm to several people.

Its great to have lessons and conversations with a native German speaker. The German study group is great fun and a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in which to learn from Christoph and the other members. I also have a private lesson to work on my speaking and listening skills. Its certainly helps when I visit Germany. Christoph are Gaby are great hosts for their German breakfast gatherings which I highly recommend.

Christoph has been helping my twins since September 2023, after trying an online maths tutor that would frequently cancel at short notice. Christoph has really engaged well with the twins, and although both of them struggle with maths, they find his help and direction invaluable. Christoph has also been extremely supportive to us as parents, in navigating any issues with schools and GCSE's.

My daughter missed out on lots of school through covid and was falling behind, she had anxiety about any after school activities but Emily is so caring, softly spoken she really connected with Jessica and now Jessica would prefer learning with Emily then going to school. I can’t recommend Matt more highly. We signed up for maths tutoring with Matt fairly late in the year, with only about 6 weeks until the exams were to begin; mainly because our son was really struggling with confidence about his maths. The pressure to pass was making revision seem totally overwhelming. Matt was such a fantastic tutor. Not only did he help to make sense of the areas of maths which were a struggle, but he also subtly coached our son to have a positive mindset. Having been hugely reluctant to begin his tutoring, he very quickly looked forward to the sessions and came away like a different person - much less stressed, and confident to tackle his exams. Kingsbury Education are superb! Their 11 plus hubs cover everything the children need to know, and more, and are well structured. The 11 plus mocks are great preparation and provide detailed feedback which allows you to focus on your child's weak areas. The 11 plus intensive coaching sessions are great as they can drill down into trickier areas and provide further helpful tips. All of these sessions, together with the work you do at home will help your child to achieve the best score they can. I cannot recommend them enough!

Hi my name is Alannah and I've just passed the 11+ exam for BSG. Pete and Franny made the lessons fun and interesting, always telling stories to help with our understanding. I had no nerves on the day and even enjoyed the exam (sort of!).

We used Kingsbury for our daughter to prep for the Bournemouth Grammar School 11+ entrance test. We used every aspect of their services including free parents evening (well worth it!), weekly hour-long hub tuition, weekly online sub-club for homework, intensive coaching holiday sessions and mock exams. It was all excellent and taught in a group format, which our daughter enjoyed as it’s nice to be surrounded by peers striving for the same thing. I think the most valuable thing was the intensive coaching and mock exams. They go hand in hand during the holidays and it’s worth doing the mock exam on the Saturday and the intensive coaching on the Sunday as Pete and Franny often pick out things that were tricky from the day before! Our daughter met the Parkstone criteria but didn’t quite reach the Bournemouth criteria however we couldn’t be prouder and Kingsbury really helped her on her way. She’ll now have a lovely head start going into any secondary school and it’s built her confidence too. Thanks Pete & Franny!

Poppy has been working with my daughter who is ‘educated other than at school’ for 2 years now. I have been having Spanish lessons with her for a few months and have made remarkable progress considering I started from scratch.
