We approached Jurassic Coast Tutors for extra support as my daughter approached GCSE’s focussing on English Language. We were matched with Tracy who was able to provide 1:1 support, in our home. Sessions were planned around our daughters needs and our budget. Payments was easy and automatic. I cannot recommend Tracy and Jurassic Cost tutors enough. My 16 year old had missed 6 months of year 10 and was struggling in the run up to his GCSE's, with no extra support available. We engaged Alison (Maths) and Tracy (English Literature) at a very late stage for online tutoring, following a recommendation by a friend. They were both excellent and my son engaged really well with his weekly sessions. He was able to catch up on topics that he had missed and his confidence increased no end. I would highly recommend Jurassic Tutors, they exceeded my expectations and are also reasonably priced.

Poppy offers fantastic tuition. She is reliable, friendly and creative in her teaching approach to get the best out of your child. She supported my daughter, who has moderate dyslexia, through her English GCSE’s in year 11, and as a result of her highly personalised approach, my daughter went up 4 grades. The benefits of Poppy’s teaching were also seen in many of the other subjects that my daughter studied because she was able to help my daughter develop strategies in her approach to reading, comprehension and writing and we saw her confidence develop beyond recognition. When you have a learning difference, it’s not just about the effect on education, it is also about self-esteem. I cannot thank Poppy enough for helping my daughter to realise that she can be a high achiever and a confident learner. Poppy’s approach means that my daughter has a very manageable ‘learning difference’ and no longer a ‘learning disability.’

We decided to get a bit of last minute help for our daughter who was struggling with her GCSE English. Poppy was absolutely fantastic! She managed to fit us in for weekly slots at her busiest time of year, and was very accommodating. My daughter has just finished her GCSE exams. She had maths tuition with Matt from February to the final paper last week. From the moment we first met Sophie we knew instantly we found the right tutor. Approachable. Kind. Understanding. My daughter couldnt stop saying how wonderful she was. Ive never seen her so excited to learn but i think thats because Sophie treats every child as an individual and meets their needs. Giving them the confidence to then thrive. I wish all teachers were like Sophie within schools because children would feel comfortable and happy and want to learn. Sophie is always on hand to help or offer advice outside of our sessions too. We feel shes like family and cant thank her enough.

We have been so pleased with how well our daughter has settled into the year 6 tutor group. Sophie has a lovely warm classroom enviroment and she is so approachable and makes learning fun. We are impressed with our weekly feedback with topics covered but also how much our daughter actually enjoys learning. We signed up for Andy's Level up skool platform 6 weeks ago and it is honestly the best thing I have done to support my daughter's GCSE revision. With live and recorded webinars in a range of subjects, including the core GCSE's, there is access to revision support whenever you need it. I have watched the platform grow in just this short space of time and Andy is always asking for feedback for what would the kids need next. The community pages also provide support and encouragement to the kids and parents on a daily basis. All I can say is thank you!

I had never heard of 11 plus before speaking to a very friendly gentleman named Peter. My son gets extremely anxious around change and wanted to sit the 11 plus but was late to the party. He ended up doing the mock exams and intense workshops during the summer. He sat the 11 plus and achieved a high enough score to apply for both schools. Now I can honestly say he would not have even completed the exam had it not been for Pete and Franny. They didn’t just put me at ease but more importantly my son felt comfortable and at ease. I thought it was going to be hard to get him to go and learn in the summer but he enjoyed it and the way it was all taught. Marta has been really beneficial to my son in the past 3 years, we started with Marta when my son was in Year 9, he is now in the midst of his GCSE's and asking me to book extras lessons. He has improved so much that he is now doing the higher level Maths paper. Marta is incredible she is very patience, happy to go over things several time and provide extra lessons. I would highly recommend anyone using her. My youngest son starts in September.

We first came across Marta/Somerset Private Tutor when my Son was in Year 9 and struggling to access mainstream education due to Autism/Anxiety/School related Anxiety etc. We started off using Marta to help support my Son with missed lessons. Two and a half years later and my son has just completed GCSEs having been homeschooled for the last two years. Marta has educated him in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Without Marta's expert help we would not have got there. The level of service is superb and Marta was able to make adaptations to support my Son's individual requirements. The level of communication has been brilliant. The service is flexible to accommodate the individual child. We also had the added advantage that my Son's education was not disrupted during the Covid lockdowns as on-line lessons continued as normal. I am so pleased with how this has turned out for my son.

Marta is a truly wonderful tutor for children of all abilities. My son is profoundly dyslexic and was struggling with numeracy. Marta has helped him to realise that maths can be fun and numbers are nothing to be afraid of. She has a unique way of teaching to a child's specific needs which enables them to engage and enjoy the subject. With her wealth of knowledge of the education system she has been a great support in helping us get our son the help he so badly needs.

Marta tutors me in maths and science at GCSE level. I have M.E/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and have been ill for over 3 years, this means I am unable to access mainstream education or medical tuition. Marta is brilliant at adapting to my changing health, she is able to teach her lessons in a way that I am able to remember the information. She has many techniques to help me achieve this, for example using coloured pens. She never gets exasperated even when I ask the same question many times, and will continue to explain it until I understand and am able to retain the information. Also she is very understanding even if I can’t always manage the homework due to my poor health. I thoroughly enjoy my sessions and learn a lot. I can’t recommend Marta enough, and she is especially brilliant if you have any extra needs.

Our son has been attending tutoring with Bev for 3months now and absolutely loves it. Bev is such a passionate teacher and has made learning fun for him again. Our son counts down his days till he visits Bev for more learning games. We have noticed a huge improvement in our sons spelling, maths and reading in such a short space of time and are truly grateful to Bev for all her help and support.

Beverly is the most wonderful teacher. She really took time to get to know my son's interests so she could engage in learning in a way that is exciting and interesting to him, so he actually looks forward to learning. She's also the BEST fun and so positive and upbeat he comes away feeling confident and proud of what he has achieved. I couldn’t recommend Bev at Bee Brilliant Prinary Tutoring more highly, since starting with Bev my daughter’s confidence has grown from strength to strength as she now knows she can do anything she sets her mind to. Lessons are no longer a chore and she even wants to go in the school holidays ! Bev treats my daughter as she would her own and we are so lucky to have found her.
