He also has a pragmatic approach to teaching 10 year old boys, and knows that a lollipop can go a long way towards motivating them. My son enjoyed his tuition, despite not being a school- lover. My daughter attended the 11+ tutoring in year5, from the first day she loved the sessions. Her abilities and confidence grew throughout the year, the support and belief showed by Lee helped immensely. Great advice on exam techniques, what to expect on the day and a big plus was the children being able to attend mock exams in a very similar set up to what they experience on the day with individually focussed feedback. Lee at Brighter Minds gave our child confidence to enjoy learning new skills, in preparation for the 11 plus Grammar test. He is also honest, if this is not right for your child, he will let you know. Importantly he asks the parents to remain calm and trust his process. The results speak for themselves. Our Child loved attending the weekly sessions and will miss his teaching style. We would 100% recommend his sessions.

Lee was recommended to us via a friend and what a recommendation! My 16 year old had missed 6 months of year 10 and was struggling in the run up to his GCSE's, with no extra support available. We engaged Alison (Maths) and Tracy (English Literature) at a very late stage for online tutoring, following a recommendation by a friend. They were both excellent and my son engaged really well with his weekly sessions. He was able to catch up on topics that he had missed and his confidence increased no end. I heard about this Pre-U Spanish tuition through a friend and within a day of contacting BLT I was able to arrange sessions twice a week with my tutor. They are also extremely accommodating in finding a time that suits me for the tutoring sessions. BLT has provided me with a fantastic Pre-U Spanish tutor. I am able to Skype him online alongside a live Google document so that any of my answers to the grammar questions can be seen by him and marked during the session. He is incredibly encouraging, always pushing me to my full potential, not to mention flexible so that I can focus on whichever areas I am struggling with if needed. Before I started tutoring, my grades were consistently on an M3. I started using BLT almost two years ago, to help with my Spanish classes at school. In fact, it helped me so much that I was able to pick up French at school instead of Spanish, and carry on my Spanish lessons with Aaron outside of school, without missing a beat! Tim has really helped my daughter with her math confidence. She was completely blocked when it came to maths. I had never heard of 11 plus before speaking to a very friendly gentleman named Peter. My son gets extremely anxious around change and wanted to sit the 11 plus but was late to the party. He ended up doing the mock exams and intense workshops during the summer. He sat the 11 plus and achieved a high enough score to apply for both schools. Now I can honestly say he would not have even completed the exam had it not been for Pete and Franny. They didn’t just put me at ease but more importantly my son felt comfortable and at ease. I thought it was going to be hard to get him to go and learn in the summer but he enjoyed it and the way it was all taught. Nicola at Forest 1st Tutoring managed to work wonders in getting our daughter up to speed in time for the 11+ exam. We left it very late in the day to start preparing and Nicola agreed to tutor across the summer term and summer holidays - primarily using group work with additional one-on-one sessions on top. The transformation in our daughter’s confidence and attainment was amazing. The tutoring would have been worthwhile regardless of the outcome as not only has she achieved a solid pass in the 11+, she has also been really well set up to make a happy and confident start to year 6.

Jane has tutored 2 of my children for the 11+ grammar school exams and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
