I cannot thank Mike enough. My daughter has been working with Mike for the past year in A-level physics. In year 12, physics was her weakest subject and teachers were struggling to predict her an A. Mike helped her to regain her love and confidence in this subject and regular sessions with Mike helped her to tackle the more complex problems in past papers which helped her with her confidence. She had her results yesterday and achieved an amazing A* and secured a place in her first choice Russell group university to study engineering. No doubt we will engage with Mike again to help tutoring my younger children and I can only recommend him as a physics tutor if your student is aspiring for high A-level grades.

A-level Maths tutoring. Mike was patient, calming and extremely encouraging the entire time he tutored with our son. They worked through papers together helping to grow our sons confidence in maths. He was always finding math problems to stretch and ensure concepts were understood. Always a pleasure to talk with and gave us regular feedback on how our son was progressing. Our son has been on his learning journey with Jerome since year 3 when we noticed our child was starting to become disinterested & limited in what was being provided in his classroom. It has been close to 2 years that we have been using Jerome as a tutor & the improvement in our son's attitude towards learning has greatly improved & we had excellent results on his year end report. Jerome recently helped my son with studying for the 11+ exam. My son loved the sessions, he thought Jerome explained thing's clearly, and looked forward to the sessions. He picked up a lot techniques and tips which all contributed to him passing the grammar school test comfortably. Jerome tutored my daughter for just over a year for her maths GCSE and I can’t thank him enough for the encouragement and confidence he gave her. My son really disliked English until he met Deirdre. Dyslexia and attention issues led to a haphazard performance. But Deirdre's kind, intelligent and structured approach has enabled him to make sense of things and his work is transformed. We have been so pleased with how well our daughter has settled into the year 6 tutor group. Sophie has a lovely warm classroom enviroment and she is so approachable and makes learning fun. We are impressed with our weekly feedback with topics covered but also how much our daughter actually enjoys learning. Sophie also responds to any messages really swiftly and our daughter has also benefitted from some of her one to one sessions in the holidays. It is so helpful knowing our daughter has a tutor she could ask any questions too, that may be daunting in a big school enviroment. We have already seen our child's confidence grow. From the moment we first met Sophie we knew instantly we found the right tutor. Approachable. Kind. Understanding. My daughter couldnt stop saying how wonderful she was. Ive never seen her so excited to learn but i think thats because Sophie treats every child as an individual and meets their needs. Giving them the confidence to then thrive. I wish all teachers were like Sophie within schools because children would feel comfortable and happy and want to learn. Sophie is always on hand to help or offer advice outside of our sessions too. Sophie is an amazing tutor I only wish I had found her sooner! The communication she makes with me regarding my sons progress has been so consistent and helpful. We are very happy with the tuition our daughter got from Richard last year. His lessons are tailored to every child's need; increasing in difficulty as the child progresses. Richard will spend extra time with a particular child if he/she needs extra help. Towards the end, the homework our daughter would get from Richard got harder, therefore our daughter found grammar school test not as hard and passed it easily. Poppy offers fantastic tuition. She is reliable, friendly and creative in her teaching approach to get the best out of your child. She supported my daughter, who has moderate dyslexia, through her English GCSE’s in year 11, and as a result of her highly personalised approach, my daughter went up 4 grades. The benefits of Poppy’s teaching were also seen in many of the other subjects that my daughter studied because she was able to help my daughter develop strategies in her approach to reading, comprehension and writing and we saw her confidence develop beyond recognition. When you have a learning difference, it’s not just about the effect on education, it is also about self-esteem. Poppy has literally changed my daughters life in Maths, before Poppy she had very little confidence in her own ability and was really struggling. Cate is an excellent teacher for adults: patient, unpatronising, lively and witty. I have been having Spanish lessons with her for a few months and have made remarkable progress considering I started from scratch. The material she provides and way we are progressing is just right for an adult learner who comes at the learning in fits and bursts. As well as being erudite and a born linguist, Cate has a talent for meeting your needs with understanding and teaching pragmatic day-to-day constructions rather than school-book language. I'd wholeheartedly recommend her if you are an adult wishing to pick up or polish your French or Spanish. We also laugh a lot!

I heard about this Pre-U Spanish tuition through a friend and within a day of contacting BLT I was able to arrange sessions twice a week with my tutor. They are also extremely accommodating in finding a time that suits me for the tutoring sessions. BLT has provided me with a fantastic Pre-U Spanish tutor. I am able to Skype him online alongside a live Google document so that any of my answers to the grammar questions can be seen by him and marked during the session. He is incredibly encouraging, always pushing me to my full potential, not to mention flexible so that I can focus on whichever areas I am struggling with if needed. Before I started tutoring, my grades were consistently on an M3. Since starting sessions with my BLT tutor, my grades have significantly improved and I am feeling far more prepared to sit the exam this May. I have never once been made to feel stupid asking any question which has increased my confidence and made my experience so enjoyable. I am feeling so much more confident about my French after starting tuition with BLT. I was able to book sessions the day I got in touch with them, and have since noticed a significant development in all areas of my French. The use of Face Time while using an online document makes the process really easy in terms of communication, and there is always flexibility in terms of fitting in sessions around my schedule. I have also noticed not only an improvement in quality, but also in enjoyment, something I’ve never previously found in the subject, and I’m really grateful to my tutor for teaching me in a way that’s made me really begin to enjoy it. I started using BLT almost two years ago, to help with my Spanish classes at school. In fact, it helped me so much that I was able to pick up French at school instead of Spanish, and carry on my Spanish lessons with Aaron outside of school, without missing a beat!
