I am so grateful that we found Damian to help my son get through his maths GCSE. Damian is non-judgemental and empathetic to the needs of his students. He boosted my son's confidence and my son actually looked forward to his lessons with Damian. Damian is very professional, always available to help and went above and beyond the call of duty. I felt totally confident that with his help my son would pass his GCSE. He meets the child where they are, and is chatty and supportive. Definitely the best tutor we have ever met. His knowledge of his subject is second to none, and he had all the tools he needed to push my son on to obtain the grades he needed to pass.

What a wonderful tutor! Full of enthusiasm and energy. He is a natural and passionate teacher explaining complex mathematical formula in a simple language that was set just right for my child. He was incredibly knowledgeable and up to date with the curriculum and content of different exam boards. He would always give 100% in each and every session. Leaving homework and tailoring each session to the students requirements. We had sessions once a fortnight to facilitate our budget which Damian was more than happy to accommodate. Nothing was ever too much trouble. An incredible tutor who I would always feel comfortable with in our home!

Damian has been an invaluable part of my son’s EOTAS education for the past 4 years and at times I don’t know what we would have done without him. He has taken my son from not being engaged at all to actively enjoying lessons. He has taken time to understand him and how to get the best from him. We enlisted Emily's service as The Reading Doctor to help our 8 year old with reading and spelling. School had noticed that they needed some extra support, and so, alongside doing more at home, we found Emily - and we are so glad we did! Emily took time to listen to what we needed, and develop an individual plan for our child. The reading room in her garden is cozy, warm, and made for learning and fun. Our child particularly enjoyed the games inbetween tasks, too. Emily's calm, patient and caring manner is ideal to help children along with reading and spelling, and she instils confidence and self-belief too. We started with Emily in November last year, and are finishing now in February. This is earlier than anticipated because our child has gone up to the required level at school and is a confident, happy reader! Thank you, Emily!

My daughter missed out on lots of school through covid and was falling behind, she had anxiety about any after school activities but Emily is so caring, softly spoken she really connected with Jessica and now Jessica would prefer learning with Emily then going to school. Amelia has been helping me prepare for university Maths for the past year and a half. She has been extremely helpful in teaching me so much that my school never taught and my understanding of Maths is at a significantly higher level because of it. I was able to bring questions of high difficultly (ie. step questions) that we would work through together, hence not only giving me the answer but showing how to get to the answer. Her help also helped me achieve a high score in MAT and succeed in Oxbridge interviews.

5 Star rating! We first came across Marta/Somerset Private Tutor when my Son was in Year 9 and struggling to access mainstream education due to Autism/Anxiety/School related Anxiety etc. We started off using Marta to help support my Son with missed lessons. Two and a half years later and my son has just completed GCSEs having been homeschooled for the last two years. Marta has educated him in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Without Marta's expert help we would not have got there. The level of service is superb and Marta was able to make adaptations to support my Son's individual requirements. The level of communication has been brilliant. The service is flexible to accommodate the individual child. We also had the added advantage that my Son's education was not disrupted during the Covid lockdowns as on-line lessons continued as normal. I am so pleased with how this has turned out for my son.

Marta tutors me in maths and science at GCSE level. I have M.E/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and have been ill for over 3 years, this means I am unable to access mainstream education or medical tuition. Marta is brilliant at adapting to my changing health, she is able to teach her lessons in a way that I am able to remember the information. She has many techniques to help me achieve this, for example using coloured pens. She never gets exasperated even when I ask the same question many times, and will continue to explain it until I understand and am able to retain the information. Also she is very understanding even if I can’t always manage the homework due to my poor health. I thoroughly enjoy my sessions and learn a lot. I can’t recommend Marta enough, and she is especially brilliant if you have any extra needs.

Can’t recommend Marta highly enough! She was extremely helpful and understanding when our daughter needed to come out of school at the end of year 10 due to physical and emotional difficulties in attending school. She has worked hard with our daughter to find any gaps and weaknesses in her knowledge of the subjects (all 3 sciences and maths), and has built her confidence in her abilities. Marta is a truly wonderful tutor for children of all abilities. My son is profoundly dyslexic and was struggling with numeracy. Marta has helped him to realise that maths can be fun and numbers are nothing to be afraid of. Jane tutored both my sons from years 4-6 and I would highly recommend her. She is calm, professional & organised and excelled in developing the boys’ confidence. Jane has tutored 2 of my children for the 11+ grammar school exams and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Both of my children lacked confidence in their ability and Jane made the lessons fun and something they both looked forward to. When it came to the exams both children were excited to be able to show what they could achieve - she taught them how to cope with the pressure, exam techniques as well as helping to strengthen their ability in math and english - both sailed through the 11+ and have continued to do well after such a fantastic grounding. I have already signed Jane up to help my youngest child when the time arrives. Jane is honest, incredibly diligent and genuinely cares deeply for the children she works with.

My 16 year old had missed 6 months of year 10 and was struggling in the run up to his GCSE's, with no extra support available. We engaged Alison (Maths) and Tracy (English Literature) at a very late stage for online tutoring, following a recommendation by a friend. They were both excellent and my son engaged really well with his weekly sessions. He was able to catch up on topics that he had missed and his confidence increased no end. I would highly recommend Jurassic Tutors, they exceeded my expectations and are also reasonably priced.

What can I say, what an amazing group. I was lucky to have Alison teach me on one hour sessions on the past 3/4 months. She made it really easy to understand where I was going wrong and helped me learn new ways to make sure, 1, I was getting what she was teaching and 2, how to solve questions. Alison at Jurassic Coast Tutoring was just brilliant. It was a last minute request for tutoring only 10 weeks before her exams and Alison managed to fit my daughter in at a suitable time. Alison made my daughter feel at ease, checked in on her prior to each lesson, provided suitable and relevant materials for her to practice throughout the week (as requested by me!) and my Daughter passed! We approached Jurassic Coast Tutors for extra support as my daughter approached GCSE’s focussing on English Language. We were matched with Tracy who was able to provide 1:1 support, in our home. Sessions were planned around our daughters needs and our budget. Payments was easy and automatic. I cannot recommend Tracy and Jurassic Cost tutors enough. Grades have gone from a mock result of grade 1 at the end of year 10, to a grade 6 in actual results, it’s life changing. Thank you

Poppy has literally changed my daughters life in Maths, before Poppy she had very little confidence in her own ability and was really struggling.
