My daughter has gained confidence in Maths since starting tutoring in Maths with Rutherford Tutoring. Anne always provides clear feedback and goals, excellent communication. I contacted Anne around 6 months before the GCSE exams. Anne gladly accommodated my twin daughters together in one session and nearer to exam time, at our request, individually. Both my girls lacked confidence in Maths and needed a boost to help improve their borderline grades. Anne worked solidly with the girls each session, and they quickly enjoyed attending, working on specific areas of difficulties and then past exam papers. Never once did my girls complain about their lessons with Anne which was such an improvement on their views about school lessons. They found her supportive, engaging and above all humorous! Its great to have lessons and conversations with a native German speaker. The German study group is great fun and a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in which to learn from Christoph and the other members. I also have a private lesson to work on my speaking and listening skills. Its certainly helps when I visit Germany. Christoph are Gaby are great hosts for their German breakfast gatherings which I highly recommend.

Christoph has been helping my twins since September 2023, after trying an online maths tutor that would frequently cancel at short notice. Christoph has really engaged well with the twins, and although both of them struggle with maths, they find his help and direction invaluable. Hi my name is Alannah and I've just passed the 11+ exam for BSG. Pete and Franny made the lessons fun and interesting, always telling stories to help with our understanding. I had no nerves on the day and even enjoyed the exam (sort of!).

We used Kingsbury for our daughter to prep for the Bournemouth Grammar School 11+ entrance test. We used every aspect of their services including free parents evening (well worth it!), weekly hour-long hub tuition, weekly online sub-club for homework, intensive coaching holiday sessions and mock exams. It was all excellent and taught in a group format, which our daughter enjoyed as it’s nice to be surrounded by peers striving for the same thing. I think the most valuable thing was the intensive coaching and mock exams. They go hand in hand during the holidays and it’s worth doing the mock exam on the Saturday and the intensive coaching on the Sunday as Pete and Franny often pick out things that were tricky from the day before! Our daughter met the Parkstone criteria but didn’t quite reach the Bournemouth criteria however we couldn’t be prouder and Kingsbury really helped her on her way. She’ll now have a lovely head start going into any secondary school and it’s built her confidence too. Thanks Pete & Franny!

We are very happy with the tuition our daughter got from Richard last year. His lessons are tailored to every child's need; increasing in difficulty as the child progresses. Richard will spend extra time with a particular child if he/she needs extra help. Towards the end, the homework our daughter would get from Richard got harder, therefore our daughter found grammar school test not as hard and passed it easily. My daughter attended the 11+ tutoring in year5, from the first day she loved the sessions. As a secondary teacher, I can wholeheartedly recommend Lee. His statistical approach is very reassuring to parents, and he knows his stuff! Barney has been an incredible tutor over the past year! During my A-Levels he has helped me to achieve a grade A in Maths and as a result I am now studying at Exeter University.
