Cate is an excellent teacher for adults: patient, unpatronising, lively and witty. I have been having Spanish lessons with her for a few months and have made remarkable progress considering I started from scratch. The material she provides and way we are progressing is just right for an adult learner who comes at the learning in fits and bursts. As well as being erudite and a born linguist, Cate has a talent for meeting your needs with understanding and teaching pragmatic day-to-day constructions rather than school-book language. I'd wholeheartedly recommend her if you are an adult wishing to pick up or polish your French or Spanish. We also laugh a lot!

Its great to have lessons and conversations with a native German speaker. The German study group is great fun and a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in which to learn from Christoph and the other members. I also have a private lesson to work on my speaking and listening skills. Its certainly helps when I visit Germany. Christoph are Gaby are great hosts for their German breakfast gatherings which I highly recommend.

Christoph has been helping my twins since September 2023, after trying an online maths tutor that would frequently cancel at short notice. Christoph has really engaged well with the twins, and although both of them struggle with maths, they find his help and direction invaluable. My 16 year old had missed 6 months of year 10 and was struggling in the run up to his GCSE's, with no extra support available. We engaged Alison (Maths) and Tracy (English Literature) at a very late stage for online tutoring, following a recommendation by a friend. They were both excellent and my son engaged really well with his weekly sessions. He was able to catch up on topics that he had missed and his confidence increased no end. I would highly recommend Jurassic Tutors, they exceeded my expectations and are also reasonably priced.

We approached Jurassic Coast Tutors for extra support as my daughter approached GCSE’s focussing on English Language. We were matched with Tracy who was able to provide 1:1 support, in our home. Sessions were planned around our daughters needs and our budget. Payments was easy and automatic. I cannot recommend Tracy and Jurassic Cost tutors enough. Grades have gone from a mock result of grade 1 at the end of year 10, to a grade 6 in actual results, it’s life changing. Thank you

What can I say, what an amazing group. I was lucky to have Alison teach me on one hour sessions on the past 3/4 months. She made it really easy to understand where I was going wrong and helped me learn new ways to make sure, 1, I was getting what she was teaching and 2, how to solve questions. Lee at Brighter Minds gave our child confidence to enjoy learning new skills, in preparation for the 11 plus Grammar test. As a secondary teacher, I can wholeheartedly recommend Lee. His statistical approach is very reassuring to parents, and he knows his stuff! He also has a pragmatic approach to teaching 10 year old boys, and knows that a lollipop can go a long way towards motivating them. My son enjoyed his tuition, despite not being a school- lover. We also saw an improvement in his school performance which I have no doubt is owing to the tuition over the year.

My daughter attended the 11+ tutoring in year5, from the first day she loved the sessions. Her abilities and confidence grew throughout the year, the support and belief showed by Lee helped immensely. Great advice on exam techniques, what to expect on the day and a big plus was the children being able to attend mock exams in a very similar set up to what they experience on the day with individually focussed feedback. Can’t recommend Lee and the team at Brighter Minds enough, whatever the outcome, what the children gain through their experience will stand them in good stead for the future.

Poppy has literally changed my daughters life in Maths, before Poppy she had very little confidence in her own ability and was really struggling. Poppy offers fantastic tuition. She is reliable, friendly and creative in her teaching approach to get the best out of your child. She supported my daughter, who has moderate dyslexia, through her English GCSE’s in year 11, and as a result of her highly personalised approach, my daughter went up 4 grades. The benefits of Poppy’s teaching were also seen in many of the other subjects that my daughter studied because she was able to help my daughter develop strategies in her approach to reading, comprehension and writing and we saw her confidence develop beyond recognition. When you have a learning difference, it’s not just about the effect on education, it is also about self-esteem. My husband and I have used Jerome for a number of years, first when our daughter was in middle school for assistance with maths. Our daughter was achieving well in all other subjects but Jerome’s tutoring not only placed her in top sets, but we saw a complete change in her mood and confidence. She no longer dreaded days where she had maths lessons and Jerome assisted in her transfer to senior school where she would often return so happy that, “ she knew what the teacher was talking about before they taught the lesson." Jerome is patient and adjusts according to ability. We cannot rate him enough as busy professionals ourselves we would highly recommend if your child needs assistance at any level for whatever duration of tutoring.

Jerome recently helped my son with studying for the 11+ exam. My son loved the sessions, he thought Jerome explained thing's clearly, and looked forward to the sessions. Our son has been on his learning journey with Jerome since year 3 when we noticed our child was starting to become disinterested & limited in what was being provided in his classroom. We signed up for Andy's Level up skool platform 6 weeks ago and it is honestly the best thing I have done to support my daughter's GCSE revision. With live and recorded webinars in a range of subjects, including the core GCSE's, there is access to revision support whenever you need it. I have watched the platform grow in just this short space of time and Andy is always asking for feedback for what would the kids need next. I wanted to review before my son gets his results back as largely the outcome is irrelevant to my feedback. Over the past months Anne has worked with Alf in a supportive and encouraging way. Stretching him for sure, but offering guidance, feedback and tutoring at an appropriate level through each stage of his learning journey. In that time I’ve seen his confidence and ability sky rocket and the complexity of the problems he’s now approaching are far in excess of what he was capable of last December. I contacted Anne around 6 months before the GCSE exams. Anne gladly accommodated my twin daughters together in one session and nearer to exam time, at our request, individually. Both my girls lacked confidence in Maths and needed a boost to help improve their borderline grades. Anne worked solidly with the girls each session, and they quickly enjoyed attending, working on specific areas of difficulties and then past exam papers. Never once did my girls complain about their lessons with Anne which was such an improvement on their views about school lessons. They found her supportive, engaging and above all humorous! My daughter started seeing Damion in December after her mock result was a 2-. She’s just got her gcse results and achieved a 4! Damion is very patient especially when my daughter lacked confidence in maths, she said he explained things in a way she understood. Damion arrives very promptly with all the equipment they need in individual boxes numbered for each student. Damion regularly printed off past exam papers as ‘homework’ and went through her red/amber/greens with her to make sure she stayed on track. Really recommend Sum Maths!

Damian has been an invaluable part of my son’s EOTAS education for the past 4 years and at times I don’t know what we would have done without him.
