We worked with Melanie for our wedding at Came House last year, and can honestly say she is one fantastic woman and the best wedding planner we could have hoped for. She is so experienced and organised, gave great advice throughout whilst listening to all our ideas. Her knowledge of the area and suppliers (as well as all her hard work) really helped to bring our vision to life. This was no easy feat as we had quite a few parts to fit into the weekend, but Melanie made it work! We are beyond grateful to Melanie for the incredible work and dedication she put into planning our wedding at Came House earlier this year. From our introductory call until our wedding, Melanie went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly on the day. Melanie’s attention to detail is unmatched. To give one of many examples: without request from us, Melanie remembered my sensitivity to mosquito bites from an earlier conversation and arranged mosquito plugs to be placed in the bridal suite. This small but incredibly thoughtful touch meant so much. It’s this thoughtfulness and pre-empting of potential issues that really sets Melanie apart. Melanie always responded promptly to our questions/emails, often late at night or over weekends. She was incredibly patient and always put us at ease. We feel very lucky to have had Melanie and the Came House team for our wedding. Thanks to their hard work and care, we were able to enjoy the day without stressing about the details. The perfect venue for a perfect wedding day, or any other celebration for that matter! The grounds are beautiful. With lots of fabulous photo opportunities and activities for all ages, to keep guests occupied! Louise and Becky were really lovely to work with, and made sure that everything was perfect for us all. We first found The Orangery Suite within the few days after we got engaged in Mauritius. We emailed Becky whilst we were still abroad and viewed the venue the week after we got back to the UK and the venue looked amazing, even in the British rain! We looked at one other venue, just to say we had compared it to another place, but we knew instantly that it was the perfect venue for us. We are active people and can get bored easily, so all of the games and activities really appealed to us, along with the beautiful grounds! Becky, Scott and Louise have done the best job since taking over the venue and have really refreshed the look, including refurbishing inside the orangery suite and the outside bathrooms. Everything looked great on the day and it ran so smoothly, thanks to all of their efforts! Nothing was too much trouble for them and they helped answer and resolve any questions I had. All of our guests have commented on how perfect the venue was and what a good find it was. They all enjoyed playing all of the games, especially the mini golf, badminton, table football and basketball net! They were also so welcoming of our 2 dogs, Ted and Alfie, who also really enjoyed the day being ring bearers. There were no restrictions on how long they could stay or where they could go and it was so nice to know they were just as welcome as all of the humans! It really was the best day ever and we are so grateful to The Orangery Suite!

Truly magical is the only words I can use to describe our wedding decor. I had a vision in mind and put all my trust in "a touch of class". I actually changed venues just so I could use them and I'm so glad I did. From the first message right until the day communication was prompt and informative and the day itself just blew us away ! The decor was stunning. Everyone complimented the set up of the ceremony room and how lovely the reception tables were. The Photo Booth was a massive hit with everyone. The chocolate foundation was good and the children loved it, as well as the sweet cart. Communication was good and always available for any queries.

We live in California and my daughter got engaged to a man in Somerset. How does one plan a wedding from across the Pond?? You call Georgi at Scarlett Rose Events that's how! We stumbled upon her website and instantly felt safe and comfortable entrusting her with my daughter's most important day. Georgi helped us find wonderful vendors, guided us through British wedding customs and legal considerations, spent hours on Facetime getting to know our vision and even helped us plan a Hen do and rehearsal dinner. She took care of all the details and made sure the wedding day itself went flawlessly. We know we never could have accomplished what we did without her gentle guidance and amazing spreadsheets. We were planning an outdoors wedding and Georgi at Scarlett Rose Events was extremely accommodating when we only wanted to hire sashes for our chairs. Georgi was so friendly to talk to when we were organising it and I felt like that part of our wedding decor was in safe hands. When the British weather decided to give us rain on our wedding day, Georgi stepped in last minute and allowed us to move our wedding inside and provided the most beautiful wedding arch dressed for our ceremony. It looked amazing and can only thank Georgi for coming to our rescue and creating such a beautiful wedding space. I would 100% recommend Georgi if you are after decor and set up for your event. The only reason why we didn’t hire more items from Georgi is because we just didn’t need it but her stock looks beautiful.

A truly wonderful retreat, set in gorgeous countryside. The decor of the house is tasteful and calming. Lots of different spaces for people to enjoy - great kitchen, dinning room and lounge for larger groups & snug bar for hiding away in. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Christina and the team were very welcoming and helpful. I Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

I wish I could add more stars! We got married at Abbots Court in May 2023 and I can't recommend it enough as a wedding venue. The house and grounds are absolutely breath-taking in the middle of the countryside and are maintained to the highest standard. We loved that there were so many options from the Victorian Barn for the ceremony, to the gardens for reception drinks to the pavilion for dinner and party and then the house (and the glamping pods!) for the after party. Having our family and friends stay in the house the night before with its huge kitchen, dining room and hot tub and then also in the glamping style pods on the night was amazing and kept the party going in the house bar! Having so many options allowed several people to stay on site which allowed the wedding to go on all weekend. One of the highlights of our wedding was the organisation in the run up to and on the day. This is all down to Cat and her amazing team who expertly put up with all my queries and worries and made everything run smoothly. I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding dreams come true. A truly special venue and we couldn't ask for more. Thank you to everyone involved.

We hired Abbots Court for the weekend for an extended staff Xmas party. Incredible venue, that I’ve been to for several weddings. All the team loved it, beautiful house and location. The outside caterers were fantastic. Great cocktail barman provided. I would highly recommend it to anyone, whether a corporate weekend away, friends or a wedding.

We booked Abbots Court after a chance viewing and what felt like fate with our dream date becoming free the coming year. We knew the venue suited our vision of the wedding day, but it was the way that the staff saw the whole wedding weekend that filled us with the confidence to book (even with a lot of the venue still CGI drawings!) We were not disappointed when it came to our last planning meeting and seeing everything in its full glory and on the day it was perfect. The ability to have friends stay the weekend with us, the informal but beautiful look and feel of Abbots Court and the amazing staff meant we truly had the best day of our lives. We were able to make a weekend of it by hosting a sports day at the venue the next day and everything was made so easy by Kat and the team. Set up was a breeze, we were given a whole day to prepare and that took the stress out of the big day, which isn’t always a luxury that venues give couples. We booked Abbots Court, Almer Manor and the Shepard’s huts on site - all provided incredible experiences for our guests and the feedback we have had from everyone that stayed has been amazing. The luxury and well thought out venues added to our wedding experience and guests were definitely keen to try and stay again in future! We want to say a massive thank you for everything you did to answer the questions (no matter how big or small) and for all the thought and advice that went into making our day truly about us, and not just a carbon copy or a template that couldn’t be veered from. I would recommend this course to anyone who has an interest in the events industry. I am incredibly impressed with the teaching and content provided. The content is engaging yet in depth and structured in an organised way that is simple to understand. The teaching is from specialists that have experience working in industry who provide examples and put the teaching into real life scenarios. You can study around your own schedule and when suits you. If you are hesitant about enrolling, I would highly recommend!

When we first visited House of Styling's barn, we were blown away by the range or different items and themes available to rent for our special day. Kirsty took care to listen to what we wanted and came up with a quote for us that we were able to amend as time went on and we knew more about what we wanted for our wedding. Kirsty always responded to emails quickly and was willing to have phone calls too for me to run through questions before the big day. I worried about being "in the way" when we were putting out our own few bits and pieces or collecting them and she was very reassuring that it was our day and that they were there to support us. Kirsty and Laura make a great team and seem to really care about the detail of what they're doing, I was so pleased with the work that they had done and the care and effort they put into making sure our venue looked just like I imagined!

Katie is and has been an absolute dream. She took our mad ramblings and vision and turned it into absolute perfection, our wedding day was exquisite. Her talent for venue styling and floristry is utterly incredible. Our flowers, not just our bouquets but also the general venue flowers, were simply stunning, she absolutely nailed the colour theme. It was better than we could have even imagined. There were so many comments on the day about how beautiful the venue looked. Not only this but Katie provided us with wedding planning services too. As we were so far away this was invaluable. We knew we were in safe hands. Nothing was too much trouble, and our late night/panicked emails and messages were met with nothing but love and enthusiasm.
