As a student enrolled on this course, I have been really impressed by the quality of content on this course. I've come from a completely different background of Graphic Design, so Event Management is a new field for me. With this course, I've become confident in the field very quickly and it's on-going. My Husband & I recently held our Wedding at Came House and it was perfect! The house and grounds are just beautiful and the venue really is a hidden gem! Having use of the house from Friday- Sunday extended the celebrations for us and meant we could all get ready on site in the morning. The staff at Came were all extremely helpful and hardworking and there’s a lot of work done behind the scenes to make the Wedding day run smoothly. The marquee was beautifully set up for us and a good size for the Wedding Breakfast and Reception. The grounds are stunning and provide a number of different backdrops for your wedding photos. The orangery where we had our ceremony is also a wonderful setting for that part of the day and for photos. We couldn’t fault any part of our weekend at Came House and would highly recommend it! We feel very fortunate to have celebrated our wedding at Came House earlier this year. From the moment we arrived, Rags, George, and their family made us feel at home for the weekend. The wider Came House team — Melanie, Danielle, Ju, and Skinner — was an incredible support. They coordinated everything seamlessly so we could focus on enjoying time with family and friends. The venue itself is spectacular and has several areas you can use for each part of the weekend. We held our rehearsal dinner in the dining room. The next day, we used the light-filled orangery for our ceremony, held our drinks reception in the beautiful gardens and then moved to the marquee for our wedding reception. It was great that we were able to do everything in one location and avoided having to arrange transport between venues for guests. Having our closest family and friends stay on-site also allowed us to extend the celebrations across the entire weekend. We can’t recommend Came House highly enough. It’s the perfect combination of a stunning venue with a brilliant team that goes above and beyond to give you the best possible wedding experience. We had so much fun and feel very grateful to the entire team!

However the team that works there make it truly special - your wedding day and the weeks / months leading up to it can be stressful, but Melanie and the Came team helped make everything so easy and stress-free for us, which allowed us to just enjoy the day, safe in the knowledge that everything was taken care of. The Guilty Pleasures were just BRILLIANT! They played at our wedding last month and exceeded all our expectations. Catering for everyone, the dance floor was full from start to finish with a range of songs creating an unforgettable atmosphere! The band Guilty Pleasures played at our wedding in July and absolutely smashed the night! From their very first number they had everyone up and dancing and as their name might suggest, they play an eclectic set that gets people dancing! When planning a wedding communication is key and Lee and the team were fantastic in terms of explaining how they work, what they need and how we could help. They really made our big day a party and we received so many comments from guests about how good the band were - Would highly recommend them to anyone!

I used coastline events for the hire of a marquee for my 50th birthday party. The guys came to put the marquee up on the Friday, collected it the following Monday. It was perfect for my party!! The marquee held 60+ guests, a 30 strong choir and lots of dancing with the disco in the evening. Such a great service from start to finish and would highly recommend 👌

A truly wonderful retreat, set in gorgeous countryside. The decor of the house is tasteful and calming. Lots of different spaces for people to enjoy - great kitchen, dinning room and lounge for larger groups & snug bar for hiding away in. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Christina and the team were very welcoming and helpful. I Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

We hired Abbots Court for the weekend for an extended staff Xmas party. Incredible venue, that I’ve been to for several weddings. All the team loved it, beautiful house and location. The outside caterers were fantastic. Great cocktail barman provided. I would highly recommend it to anyone, whether a corporate weekend away, friends or a wedding.

We booked Abbots Court after a chance viewing and what felt like fate with our dream date becoming free the coming year. We knew the venue suited our vision of the wedding day, but it was the way that the staff saw the whole wedding weekend that filled us with the confidence to book (even with a lot of the venue still CGI drawings!) We were not disappointed when it came to our last planning meeting and seeing everything in its full glory and on the day it was perfect. The ability to have friends stay the weekend with us, the informal but beautiful look and feel of Abbots Court and the amazing staff meant we truly had the best day of our lives. We were able to make a weekend of it by hosting a sports day at the venue the next day and everything was made so easy by Kat and the team. Set up was a breeze, we were given a whole day to prepare and that took the stress out of the big day, which isn’t always a luxury that venues give couples. We booked Abbots Court, Almer Manor and the Shepard’s huts on site - all provided incredible experiences for our guests and the feedback we have had from everyone that stayed has been amazing. The luxury and well thought out venues added to our wedding experience and guests were definitely keen to try and stay again in future! We want to say a massive thank you for everything you did to answer the questions (no matter how big or small) and for all the thought and advice that went into making our day truly about us, and not just a carbon copy or a template that couldn’t be veered from. I wish I could add more stars! We got married at Abbots Court in May 2023 and I can't recommend it enough as a wedding venue. The house and grounds are absolutely breath-taking in the middle of the countryside and are maintained to the highest standard. We loved that there were so many options from the Victorian Barn for the ceremony, to the gardens for reception drinks to the pavilion for dinner and party and then the house (and the glamping pods!) for the after party. Having our family and friends stay in the house the night before with its huge kitchen, dining room and hot tub and then also in the glamping style pods on the night was amazing and kept the party going in the house bar! Having so many options allowed several people to stay on site which allowed the wedding to go on all weekend. One of the highlights of our wedding was the organisation in the run up to and on the day. This is all down to Cat and her amazing team who expertly put up with all my queries and worries and made everything run smoothly. I cannot thank them enough for making our wedding dreams come true. A truly special venue and we couldn't ask for more. Thank you to everyone involved.

A wonderful team! Kirsty and the House of Styling decorated our venue in August. They were so helpful in the run up to our wedding, creating a moodboard for us so we could visualise how everything would look. We were blown away with how incredible everything looked on the day, they really brought our vision to life and all of our guest commented on how amazing everything looked. Everything was stress free and we would highly recommend Kirsty and her team at the House of Styling!

When we first visited House of Styling's barn, we were blown away by the range or different items and themes available to rent for our special day. Kirsty took care to listen to what we wanted and came up with a quote for us that we were able to amend as time went on and we knew more about what we wanted for our wedding. Kirsty always responded to emails quickly and was willing to have phone calls too for me to run through questions before the big day. I worried about being "in the way" when we were putting out our own few bits and pieces or collecting them and she was very reassuring that it was our day and that they were there to support us. Kirsty and Laura make a great team and seem to really care about the detail of what they're doing, I was so pleased with the work that they had done and the care and effort they put into making sure our venue looked just like I imagined!

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Communication was brilliant throughout with Kirsty, and no question or request was too much! The styling for our special day ticked every single box for us, and the venue staff and even the registrar kept saying they had never seen New Place Hotel styled so well. The colour scheme and style we had imagined in our heads - Kirsty and the team made it happen! From start to finish a 5 star service and I would highly recommend!

Harrison was incredibly efficient in the lead up to agreeing arrangements for our daughter’s wedding and the team were equally professional on the day. The bar became the centre of the post-dinner party with excellent cocktails and magnificent service. Strongly recommend.

Can't rate these guys highly enough. They did the bar for our daughter's Rodeo theme birthday party. They were very professional, polite and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. Discussions about the theme of party, how many people, how many drinkers (!). Helpful recommendations regarding types of drinks and quantities. We had Prosecco, cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks. If fact we so liked some of their choices we went online afterwards to source more! Left their working area very tidy. If you are looking for a bar for an event, get these guys!

We had a wonderful experience with Harrison and the whole Cartails team over our two day wedding celebration. Harrison was extremely professional and helpful throughout the planning process and across the weekend. The service throughout our wedding was so slick and we were so pleased with the cocktails! We’d highly recommend the team if you’re planning an event - big or small.

We used Cartails for our wedding in July. They were absolutely great, perfect from start to finish. We had lots of zoom meetings before the wedding making sure everything was exactly as we wanted, and Josh was always on hand to answer questions and change things around to make them perfect. The team were fab on the day - the guests all said how lovely the bar staff were, and the cocktails were DELICIOUS! Couldn't recommend them more.

Just got back from 5 nights at Gorwell Farm and had a fabulous time. Great location for exploring, peaceful setting, well equipped and comfortable cottage (Granary). Would definitely recommend and want to go back! The children (aged 12, 10, 10, 10, 8, 6) particularly enjoyed spending time with the horses, tennis, table tennis and basketball. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Went to a wedding reception here. Wow what a beautiful place Hiden out of the way. Really lovely venue. Drinks were very well priced at the bar. Amazing settings for an all in one wedding day. Camping facilities available but didn't use these.

Gorwell Farm hosted our wedding (and accommodation) and was excellent from beginning to end. It’s. A beautiful, rustic venue but has been fully modernised and updated with all conveniences for a wedding whilst still retaining the rustic feel. All queries were addressed quickly and we couldn’t imagine it being any better.

We chose Gorwell for our wedding in July 2024, booking two years prior. Mary and the Team are fantastic, you can really tell that they want your big day to be a success. Mary was full of recommendations for vendors, which was amazing as it can definitely feel overwhelming. Throughout the communication was fantastic and there was no such thing as a silly question. We were planning an outdoors wedding and Georgi at Scarlett Rose Events was extremely accommodating when we only wanted to hire sashes for our chairs. Georgi was so friendly to talk to when we were organising it and I felt like that part of our wedding decor was in safe hands. When the British weather decided to give us rain on our wedding day, Georgi stepped in last minute and allowed us to move our wedding inside and provided the most beautiful wedding arch dressed for our ceremony. It looked amazing and can only thank Georgi for coming to our rescue and creating such a beautiful wedding space. I would 100% recommend Georgi if you are after decor and set up for your event. The only reason why we didn’t hire more items from Georgi is because we just didn’t need it but her stock looks beautiful.
