My husband and I were privileged to work with Danielle at Bellissimo for our wedding last year. It was an honour to have Danielle supporting us in the run up to, and on the day of our wedding. We cannot put into works our gratitude for all that Danielle and Bellissimo Weddings did to make sure our day was full of magic from beginning to end. We had countless guests comment on how the whole event was timed and executed with finesse, professionalism, and to perfection. Danielle’s diligence and attention to detail meant that we truly were able to leave even the most important details in Danielle’s trusted hands. Thank you so much for doing such an incredible job. We worked with Melanie for our wedding at Came House last year, and can honestly say she is one fantastic woman and the best wedding planner we could have hoped for. She is so experienced and organised, gave great advice throughout whilst listening to all our ideas. Her knowledge of the area and suppliers (as well as all her hard work) really helped to bring our vision to life. This was no easy feat as we had quite a few parts to fit into the weekend, but Melanie made it work! We had the most incredible weekend of our lives and we couldn’t have done it without Melanie, Bellissimo and the team at Came House.

Truly magical is the only words I can use to describe our wedding decor. I had a vision in mind and put all my trust in "a touch of class". I actually changed venues just so I could use them and I'm so glad I did. From the first message right until the day communication was prompt and informative and the day itself just blew us away ! The decor was stunning. Everyone complimented the set up of the ceremony room and how lovely the reception tables were. The Photo Booth was a massive hit with everyone. The chocolate foundation was good and the children loved it, as well as the sweet cart. Communication was good and always available for any queries.

Just got back from 5 nights at Gorwell Farm and had a fabulous time. Great location for exploring, peaceful setting, well equipped and comfortable cottage (Granary). Would definitely recommend and want to go back! The children (aged 12, 10, 10, 10, 8, 6) particularly enjoyed spending time with the horses, tennis, table tennis and basketball. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Gorwell Farm was where we chose to have our wedding this summer, and we could not have chosen a more perfect location for our special day. The cottages are spacious and comfortable for the morning-of preparation, and the barn and surrounding grounds are just idyllic. It really was the perfect space for our wedding. Mary and the team were great in the run-up to the wedding and on the day. It meant we didn't have anything to worry about. Also a shout out to the bar staff who were absolutely fantastic!

We chose Gorwell for our wedding in July 2024, booking two years prior. Mary and the Team are fantastic, you can really tell that they want your big day to be a success. Mary was full of recommendations for vendors, which was amazing as it can definitely feel overwhelming. Throughout the communication was fantastic and there was no such thing as a silly question. Very interesting day out. The guides were so knowledgeable and helpful. So much to see that I will need to go back to spend more time in the fantastic gardens. Bit of a walk from the car park if your mobility is not great.

Having Rosie as part of our wedding day (and the months leading up to it) was one of the best decisions we made. She was so calm, composed and “on it” throughout the whole process that we couldn’t help but feel that way too! She is incredibly knowledgeable and just bubbling with amazing ideas. Having a marquee wedding on our family farm, we really appreciated her expert eye but also her focus on the environment and sustainability. My only regret is that we discovered Rosie about halfway through our planning - I only wish we could have worked with her from the beginning.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rosie in my capacity as a wedding celebrant. She is a consummate professional has a fabulous sense of style, is hugely creative and an enviable address book of contacts from which to draw. Instantly likeable and someone you just know will be a constant calm, focused and reassuring presence who will help turn your dream for your event into a reality. Her dedication to the job has no bounds. I love this image of her working hard despite the near tropical conditions at a wedding we worked on together in the summer last year. WHAT A VENUE! Having shot at venues all over Mapperton is just incredible. It has everything, and I mean everything. Multiple choices for the ceremony, STUNNING grounds, gorgeous barn. It honestly has it all. The staff are wonderful, so welcoming and really take care of their suppliers - which means they take care of their couples. It's a dream venue!

I've had the pleasure of providing bespoke wedding flowers for couples at this venue for a few years now and it's one of the most stunning venue's in the south west. Ideal for weddings as there are so many beautiful vistas and backdrops for fantastic photos. Kat and Charlotte provide a friendly service and will advise on all aspects of your big day.

The absolute most perfect wedding venue ever! Mapperton had everything that we wanted and we absolutely fell in love with it, no venue in the area compared!! It was a complete blank canvas in the coach house which we really liked and there were many ceremony options (inside and outside) but we opted with the croquet lawn which was simply stunning. The gardens are sensational and many of our guests have said it’s the most beautiful wedding venue they have ever been to. There’s two cottages on site too so we used one for the bridal party and then one for the grooms, this was such an amazing option to have and really added to the whole weekend experience! Holly our wedding co-ordinator was incredible, so kind and understanding. No question was too big and she helped us quickly on any wedding advice / help that we needed. We really appreciated her being there through anything that we needed, she was amazing on the day and it all ran smoothly which was completely all her hard work but also leading up to the wedding too. She helped so much & we truly appreciate her! She really understood our vision. If you are thinking of booking Mapperton for your wedding then DO IT, it was simply a dream come true that we will remember for the rest of our lives!! :)

The most perfect day at a dream venue Patrick and I had the most incredible experience getting married at Mapperton. From the moment we first visited we knew it was the perfect venue for us due to how flexible, versatile and stunning it is. Holly our amazing wedding coordinator was one of the reasons we chose the venue and is a true asset to Mapperton. She was there to take us through the whole process, being a fountain of knowledge for amazing suppliers in the South West and nothing was too big an ask. Most importantly she made sure our day ran like clockwork and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Our guests have given us so many compliments saying it is the favourite wedding they have ever been to and this is all thanks to the hard work put in by the team at Mapperton. We can't wait to pop in, take a walk around the stunning Italian gardens and visit the Mapperton family to remember our special day.

Winterborne Hire and Styling were incredible at making our day extra special. I visited their lovely show room a few months prior to our wedding. After discussing what we needed, they produced some spectacular arrangements to suit the theme for our wedding and to match our fresh flowers. Absolutely fantastic job from Winterborne Hire & Styling! We rented some beautiful table decorations and flower pillars that complimented our wedding venue perfectly.They have a great range of items in their showroom and Dawn was so helpful and patient in taking through what items to choose. They are very professional and coordinated directly with the venue and had a delivery option making it seamless and efficient (one less thing for me to worry about!). Highly recommend :)

We used Winterborne Hire & Styling for our wedding at Abbots Court and couldn’t have been happier with the service provided! From the first visit to the styling barn with Dawn right up until the wedding day itself and after the event, Dawn was on hand to help with any questions we had. We opted to set the venue decorations up ourselves the day prior to the wedding and this was made so easy as the beautiful arches were set up for us and the rest of the items we ordered came in extremely organised boxes which saved a lot of time. Winterborne were absolutely brilliant and so helpful throughout our wedding journey. They decorated our ladders with faux plants, and the results were stunning—the photos speak for themselves. We received so many compliments, and you honestly couldn’t tell the plants were artificial. In the lead-up, the team was incredibly supportive. They ensured everything was set up quickly, allowing us to move on with the rest of the decorations without feeling rushed. They even offered additional staff to help with other decorative elements, which was such a kind gesture. We just can’t recommend Winterborne enough!

A wonderful team! Kirsty and the House of Styling decorated our venue in August. They were so helpful in the run up to our wedding, creating a moodboard for us so we could visualise how everything would look. Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Communication was brilliant throughout with Kirsty, and no question or request was too much! The styling for our special day ticked every single box for us, and the venue staff and even the registrar kept saying they had never seen New Place Hotel styled so well. Katie is and has been an absolute dream. She took our mad ramblings and vision and turned it into absolute perfection, our wedding day was exquisite. Her talent for venue styling and floristry is utterly incredible. Our flowers, not just our bouquets but also the general venue flowers, were simply stunning, she absolutely nailed the colour theme. It was better than we could have even imagined. There were so many comments on the day about how beautiful the venue looked. Not only this but Katie provided us with wedding planning services too. As we were so far away this was invaluable. We knew we were in safe hands. Nothing was too much trouble, and our late night/panicked emails and messages were met with nothing but love and enthusiasm. She provided a much needed sense of calm when the inevitable wedding stress and worry took over. No words can actually do Katie's work, or how much she has meant to us over the past 18 months, justice.

Nicky was very accommodating with the items i required. She send me photo's of what i wanted, to give me an idea on what i was hiring along with making the whole process nice and straightforward. Once the items were collected (by my dad) and bought to the venue i could certainly see Nicky looks after her props as the quality of the items were really good. I would thoroughly recommend Nicky and her business to anyone conducting any number of events not just weddings.
