Just got back from 5 nights at Gorwell Farm and had a fabulous time. Great location for exploring, peaceful setting, well equipped and comfortable cottage (Granary). Would definitely recommend and want to go back! The children (aged 12, 10, 10, 10, 8, 6) particularly enjoyed spending time with the horses, tennis, table tennis and basketball. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We chose Gorwell for our wedding in July 2024, booking two years prior. Mary and the Team are fantastic, you can really tell that they want your big day to be a success. Mary was full of recommendations for vendors, which was amazing as it can definitely feel overwhelming. Throughout the communication was fantastic and there was no such thing as a silly question. Went to a wedding reception here. Wow what a beautiful place Hiden out of the way. Really lovely venue. Drinks were very well priced at the bar. Amazing settings for an all in one wedding day. Camping facilities available but didn't use these.

Gorwell Farm hosted our wedding (and accommodation) and was excellent from beginning to end. It’s. A beautiful, rustic venue but has been fully modernised and updated with all conveniences for a wedding whilst still retaining the rustic feel. All queries were addressed quickly and we couldn’t imagine it being any better.

We held our wedding recently in August at the Vineyard, and it was honestly idyllic. Andrew & Sarah were so warm and welcoming, and Danielle the venue manager and planner extraordinaire was truly so wonderful and ensured everything came together perfectly on the day. We couldn’t have picked somewhere more beautiful, and couldn’t recommend the vineyard more to other couples looking to tie the knot there in the future.

Great time having a tour of the vineyard, just a couple of weeks before harvest. The wine tasting wasn't too bad either. Great hosts.

We were gifted a tour of this wonderful vineyard by some friends and what a lovely experience it was. Andrew and Sarah who own and run the business personally delivered the tour, and their passion and expertise came across from the outset. The environment is relaxed and the setting is beautiful. The tour ended with a generous wine tasting session and we were blown away by the quality of the wine. It is exceptional, easily better than the vast majority of Champagne you’ll ever have. So much so we treated ourselves to 6 bottles of different varieties to enjoy at home. I can highly recommend both the tour and the wine, simply exceptional.

Lovely property with the vineyards literally "touching" the tasting room, magnificent views. Matched by a knowledgeable and charming host serving some exceptionally well made sparkling wines. The range of styles is precise with each having character and pose. Thank you Andrew and Sarah for allowing us to glimpse the hidden gem you are, your hospitality and wines are generous and appreciated. We'll be telling our friends, but only those we really like!! We have collaborated with Rosie on several events to date with our bell tent and luxury loo hire; she is a joy to work with and consistently creative. Having Rosie as part of our wedding day (and the months leading up to it) was one of the best decisions we made. She was so calm, composed and “on it” throughout the whole process that we couldn’t help but feel that way too! She is incredibly knowledgeable and just bubbling with amazing ideas. Having a marquee wedding on our family farm, we really appreciated her expert eye but also her focus on the environment and sustainability. My only regret is that we discovered Rosie about halfway through our planning - I only wish we could have worked with her from the beginning.

Rosie Barrett is incredible. We used her consult & co-ordinate service for our wedding in September 2023 and I can’t imagine getting through it without her! If you are even mildly contemplating getting a wedding planner, then look no further than Rosie. Not only is she apt at understanding her clients’ unique vision; she will think of essential details you may have never considered; co-ordinate your suppliers seamlessly; and go above and beyond to ensure your day is perfect.

As soon as me and my now husband saw Parley Manor we knew it was our perfect wedding venue. The day went perfectly, we didn’t have to worry about anything as all the staff made sure we felt at ease throughout the day. The gardens full of flowers were so pretty and the new ceremony marquee was stunning. The Manor House was beautiful and it meant us and our family could stay there the night of our wedding which made it even more special. I also stayed in the Wagon the night before with my bridesmaids which was lovely. We want to say a big thank you to David who was the front of house. He was always around to make sure us and ours guests were happy and had everything we needed. I would recommend Parley Manor to everyone, not only is it beautiful but how organised everything is made the day flow perfectly. We had our wedding here on the 21.08.2024 and it was everything we wanted, a truly magical day! We wanted an intimate day to celebrate our love with only our close friends and family. As soon as we saw this beautiful venue we knew it had to be the place where we say 'I DO'. The whole experience was perfect, Viktorija was fantastic every step of the way. Everyone always talks about how stressful it is planning a wedding, but my experience was the opposite, everything was seamless and stress free. Every element of our wedding day went smoothly, Viktorija coordinated everything so well and dealt with all the set up in the morning so we could just focus on getting ready and enjoying the day. I would highly encourage brides to use the wagon the night before it was such a beautiful experience to share with my bridal party and added to the excitement of the big day. It was comfortable and had all amenities we could have possibly needed. We also had a lovely continental breakfast the next day which was yummy. Also, if you are having guests travelling afar I would highly recommend staying in the manor house the night of the wedding, it added that extra special touch to the day and the breakfast the day after was delicious. This venue is beautiful, And we cannot recommend Parley Manor enough. Thank you, Viktorija and the team, so much for all the hard work you put in to making our day so magical. We had our wedding at Parley Manor on the 22.06.24 and can honestly say we had the most perfect wedding experience. The staff at Parley are polished professionals who guide you through your day and ensure you receive nothing but your fairytale wedding. My husband and I were married at Parley Manor at the end of August over the Bournemouth airshow weekend. We couldn't have had a more perfect day. We first viewed Parley Manor in early 2023 and fell in love with the venue straight away. The gardens are stunning, and as we knew we wanted a summer wedding, this was important to us. It was clear to see so much time and thought goes into the grounds. We went to the open day they held in the spring, which confirmed our choice (especially after trying the pizza straight from their outdoor pizza oven!). Viktorija was fantastic from start to finish; she was extremely patient with us, lovely to deal with, and knowledgeable, and our parents and wedding party thought she was so funny and brought a great energy that kept us all calm in the lead up to our day. Another person who made our day what it was, was David Hopkins, who we hired as our Master of Ceremonies. David, like Viktorija, was worth his weight in gold. We had a call with him in the lead up to the wedding, where he eased any nerves we had and took on the responsibility of the smooth running of the day. He made sure we were where we needed to be, and that we were fed and hydrated throughout the day as it's so easy to get caught up in the excitement! We thought he was fantastic and our guests commented on how great he had been throughout the day too. I stayed in the accommodation the night before which was lovely and had the breakfast box in the morning which was delicious and kept energy levels up. We had the bbq buffet for our wedding breakfast from Merlins and everything was delicious. Guests commented how good everything was and loved having different options available to them. There was something for everyone. The desserts were great too. The pizza as the evening food is an absolute must! It was so good. Ultimately, our day ran extremely smoothly. If anything went wrong, we had absolutely no idea. Viktorija, David and the whole team were seasoned professionals. We wish we could relive the whole day again and again! We'd also recommend getting married over the airshow weekend, it was so fun and brought so much entertainment to all the adults and kids. The whole team, from start to finish, were fantastic, it's left us with memories that will last a lifetime and we couldn't be more grateful. Thank you so much Parley Manor team for the best day.

Lee is a star! He did both an outdoor set (battery-powered from his ecotainment wheelbarrow decks) and an indoor set with full disco power! Great fun for everyone (we had a big range of ages) and he was a really positive force all through our event. Wholeheartedly recommend!

Lee the wheelbarrow DJ was a total hit at our wedding. His taste in music is fantastic and our guests loved the setup. A really unique and fun addition to our celebration. He was great to engage with, professional and friendly. He took the time to speak to us before hand about the sorts of music and general vibe that we were after and he really delivered. He brought a great selection of records and was a hit with kids and adult alike. We're so grateful for what he added to our big day and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for any kind of party or celebration to provide great tunes and to add to the party atmosphere.

Fantastic night celebrating Leigh’s 50th in Swanage, 80’s style. Wheelbarrow Disco absolutely brilliant. Banging tunes - everyone agrees it was a great party with the best DJ. Highly recommended 🥳

I had the great pleasure of photographing a wedding here recently. The venue itself is simply stunning with everything being well maintained. The staff are really professional and they went above and beyond to look after me. I must make a special mention of the Wedding Planner on the day Tessa, who couldn't have been more helpful. I highly recommend Pennsylvania Castle Estate as a wedding venue.

Penn is such a unique and incredibly beautiful place and location for a wedding or an event. A little bit like the Minack Theatre in Cornwall, it is set on a cliff top and has the most spectacular views. It provides a location for an event to remember. Having done location shots for the venue, styled shoots and weddings there, we know it well. Many of the rooms are brand new, set in to the cliff face and provide your own little peaceful sea view haven. The reception rooms and patio are just beautiful, light and fresh. And the team are wonderful too. We love it and are happy to shoot there anyway. Now we just need to get invited as guests at a wedding there so that we can enjoy it all!

This was a business stay, and we had 5 nights here. I was in Half Moon and it was wonderful. Clean and immaculate, towels were fluffy, and toiletries were in full order. They even have bedroom slippers and bathrobe. We failed to use every single room in the property just because we had beautiful sunshine most of the days we're there. Everywhere is picturesque and not to mention the little walks to the beach below was great fun as well. Pool was amazing, warm and beautiful with marble pool floor. Kitchen had the best tools to whip up a good meal and the dining room is so instagramable.

We used Cartails for our wedding in July. They were absolutely great, perfect from start to finish. We had lots of zoom meetings before the wedding making sure everything was exactly as we wanted, and Josh was always on hand to answer questions and change things around to make them perfect. The team were fab on the day - the guests all said how lovely the bar staff were, and the cocktails were DELICIOUS! Couldn't recommend them more.

We had a wonderful experience with Harrison and the whole Cartails team over our two day wedding celebration. Harrison was extremely professional and helpful throughout the planning process and across the weekend. The service throughout our wedding was so slick and we were so pleased with the cocktails! We’d highly recommend the team if you’re planning an event - big or small.

Can't rate these guys highly enough. They did the bar for our daughter's Rodeo theme birthday party. They were very professional, polite and courteous. Nothing was too much trouble. Discussions about the theme of party, how many people, how many drinkers (!). Helpful recommendations regarding types of drinks and quantities. We had Prosecco, cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks. If fact we so liked some of their choices we went online afterwards to source more! Left their working area very tidy. If you are looking for a bar for an event, get these guys!

We used Cartails to provide bar service at our wedding recently. After initial conversations with Harrison, Josh took over the planning of the event and both were brilliant to work with. They clearly had a wealth of experience planning the events, and were able to offer excellent advice and ideas without us ever feeling like we were being upsold. They provided everything we asked for, going to particularly effort to make sure we could have a slushy machine serving Froze. They went above and beyond in making sure the drinks offering was exactly what we were looking for. On the day, they constructed the circular bar quickly and efficiently, and this looked fantastic in the middle of the marquee. Drinks service throughout the whole day went perfectly, with Harrison and his team managing both the main circular bar and outside horsebox bar brilliantly. The Froze was a real hit and the after dinner cocktails went down very well too. The site was left spotless at the end of the night. We would happily recommend Cartails to anyone planning their own wedding, and would love to work with them again should we have any other large events.

I cannot emphasise enough how fantastic Tom and Murray were in capturing our wedding day. From the first day we met them through to completion of our wedding album, we were so chuffed with everything they did for us. We booked them before covid and our wedding was sadly postponed several times due to the pandemic, but they were so accommodating and helpful throughout. It was so important to us to have photographers that made us feel comfortable as they would be with us for almost the entire day and they did just that. Two genuinely lovely gents that felt like friends by the end. Having two photographers made such a difference as we were able to capture the most memorable shots from several angles without even knowing where they were half the time! And it meant that both bride and groom got some great shots during the morning prep. I would highly recommend you book one thousand words photography for your wedding. We will always be grateful for their ability to capture the classic shots whilst throwing in a bit of humour along the way.

Tom & Murray were absolutely fantastic! From the initial consultation to get our quote, Tom instantly reassured me that we were going to adore their style and service, as his friendly nature shone through. Nothing was too much trouble at any point. We had an amazing engagement shoot where Tom calmed our nerves and really helped us be comfortable in front of the camera. On the wedding day, they were a blessing. Ready to jump right in with ties and button holes or making breakfast, they really kept the day together and running smoothly!! Each and every one of our guests were full of praise for them and adored their laid back photography style that wasn't invasive. Not only do we adore their photos of us (sneak peak has got us so excited for the next instalment!!!), their personalities are also a massive reason why they should be your choice of photographer. We will be singing their praises and recommending them forever more!

Murray and Tom are amazing! We absolutely loved getting to know them and having them as part of our wedding day. They were professional and friendly and felt more like guests by the end of the day! We also had an engagement shoot with them, which was really wonderful and helped us to feel at ease. We really love the photographs, they capture the day perfectly and were just as we had wanted - casual and relaxed, really capturing the mood of the day! The presentation box and mini album that we received were a really lovely touch. We would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone, they are really really lovely guys, and a real laugh, they put us at ease from the start and we are usually quite camera shy! We are so so happy we went with Tom and Murray for our wedding photographs. They were friendly, easy going, flexible and helped out with literally everything (whether that was helping the groom with this tie or fiddly buttons on the wedding dress)! They exceeded our expectations and made us so relaxed. As the groom is not a natural in front of the camera, they made sure to take the shots in a way that allowed him to relax and have fun with it. It was like hanging out with friends when we had our couple shots and then during the reception they seamlessly assimilated with the guests and popped up as and when we needed them. I love all the photographs and I only wish I had more!! All our family and friends raved about the photos and just said they perfectly captured the essence of our wedding day. I would highly recommend Tom and Murray to anyone getting married - I couldn't fault them!!

The castle is beautiful and has a nice cafe, with outside seating. There is a steep slope down to the beach. Beach was lovely and quiet. However, dogs were everywhere, and not everyone was clearing up after them or respectful of people without dogs. The slope from the beach back to the castle is steep but paved, with benches to stop and rest. Other areas of the castle grounds are hard to navigate, uneven, no pathway, and slippery. Also, in carpark, the disabled parking area is not hard paved.

It is a beautiful place to go as a family. walking through the castle gardens is lovely. The gallery inside the castles is impressive, the story it tells and the characters who lived there and visited the castle. In a way you can feel calm as it is a beautiful place to spend the day. The staff is made up of wonderful people who help and entertain children at all times. Wanting a place to visit and de-stress, Highlife Castle is unique.

I've attended a friend's wedding here aaaaand the first ever Dorset wine festival!! 🍷🎊🎉🍷🏰 Both times were stunning and spectacular. The grounds are truly just simply stunning, they have added the cafe pantry on the side since my friends wedding but I think this makes a good edition for everyday visits. With both events, the staff are consistent in ensuring every one is safe, cared for and just in general lovely and kind.... Which do you know what makes 80% of your day so well done guys! The vendors that attended the wine festival, both wine, jewellery, food stands, hot radio..... All of them were fabulous! The security at the wine festival were so friendly, chatty and not what most people expect from a security guard/ 'bouncer'. 🔐🔐 Truly a beautiful castle, stunning grounds and just perfect for weddings or any event, everyday trips with your fur babies for a coffee 🐾🐾🐾

The building was very interesting. It showed the fabric of the house as it was built and after the disastrous fire that did immense damage. The tour around was on even floors and suspended walkways that didn't do further damage to the masonry. The history of the building was well resented on information boards. Children were well catered for and the cafe was a welcome coffee stop. Well worth a visit and the semi restored areas looked great for weddings and special occasions. Grounds were pretty and there was a short walk to the beach.
