We had our Wedding at the Manor Estate on August and it was the best day. Pippa is always on hand to set up and take down. During the day she was behind the scenes with the music and changing over of the room. It is the most beautiful venue and we are truly grateful to Pippa and her team! The accommodation on site is beautiful, everything you need and very spacious. Thank you!

We couldn’t have asked for anything more from the support given to us during the planning process, the day of set up through to the big day itself. Pippa and her team are amazing and made sure the day flowed seamlessly from start to finish without a hitch or bother. The venue will forever hold a special place in our hearts as the picturesque, dreamy location where we started married life. You forget there’s a world beyond the walls of The Manor for the day, it becomes this ethereal magical world filled with love and sheer happiness. We had a wonderful experience marrying at this venue. We wanted a beautiful setting with exclusive use for the full weekend, the flexibility to choose our catering options and lovely accommodation on site – we got all that and more at Manor Estate. Pippa is a delight to deal with, from the minute I met her I felt relaxed but knew that she would get things done! As it’s Pippa’s own business in her family estate, she really cares and we felt confident we would be well looked after, which we were. We had hoped to have the ceremony outside and although weather didn’t cooperate on the day, Pippa remained flexible and had both indoor/outdoor bars prepped in case there was the opportunity to be outside – which was wonderful when the sun shone after the ceremony for our drinks reception! The gardens are so pretty, there are so many beautiful photo opportunities. There is a good sized list of approved caterers to choose from which meant we had the flexibility to choose what suited us, whilst knowing that the caterers have done previous weddings at our venue. There is lovely accommodation on site (two separate wings), and with exclusive use for the weekend it meant that we could really enjoy the venue with our family rather than it all being over in a day. Being able to decorate the venue the day before really took the stress out of the preparations and Pippa was on hand to help and answer any questions, as she had been since the very beginning, always responsive and helpful. Pippa also went above and beyond helping my work colleagues coordinate a present to be delivered to the venue for us. We couldn’t have hoped for more and would highly recommend this beautiful venue.

Nicky was very accommodating with the items i required. She send me photo's of what i wanted, to give me an idea on what i was hiring along with making the whole process nice and straightforward. Once the items were collected (by my dad) and bought to the venue i could certainly see Nicky looks after her props as the quality of the items were really good. I would thoroughly recommend Nicky and her business to anyone conducting any number of events not just weddings. I really can't speak highly enough of this amazing venue. Colin and Lou are so, so invested in their clients and go above and beyond to ensure their day is incredible. Having photographed a few weddings at this venue now I just can't recommend it enough. If you're looking for a relaxed, informal vibe surrounded by beautiful nature and you like to be well cared for, choose the Old Milking Parlour. I am so glad we chose to have our wedding at The Old Milking Parlour at Cavokay House!! Planning our wedding here with Lou and Colin felt like we were planning our wedding with friends who genuinely wanted us to have the best day we possibly could. They had great recommendations for suppliers (and we used the suppliers they recommended and they were all amazing). They obviously have great relationships with their recommended vendors and they all work together really well to create a really friendly stress-free atmosphere. The venue itself it’s absolutely beautiful, and lots of our guests commented on how gorgeous the setting was. We wanted to have a sustainable wedding as much as possible, and they have a whole storeroom of props and supplies you can use and we didn’t actually purchase any additional decorations. Colin is very knowledgeable on all the tecky sound stuff for the ceremony down in the woods and our band used all the equipment at the venue because the quality was top notch. Everything went so smoothly and I know it was because Lou and Colin made it that way! Communication was always great and Lou would check in with me often to make sure we were happy with everything. I was lucky enough to be the best man for a wedding held here. The owners have got knowledge and understanding for just what was needed. If the weather was going to be awful we had a contingency and everything still went like clockwork. Even with a gloomy start to the day, the venue is still beautiful. Taking advantage of the stage for the ceremony with flowing white curtains dividing the seating from the rest of the parlour we set up the day before. The sound system is legendary and the bar area is just the right size to fit a handful of guests. Outside is a green haven with surrounding woodland and space for outdoor entertainment if you want it. I cannot recommend the old milking parlour enough. Call Lou or Colin and book your event.

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding - hiring Roger! His communication prior to the big day was excellent, great value and was personal on the day. Where to begin?! We found Roger The Wedding Guy at a Wedding Fair back in early 2020. We were impressed by his friendly and fun personality and the range of services he had on offer. Initially we decided to book him as just our DJ for the evening but he offered the Toastmaster and iSmile photo services too at a reasonable price which we also decided to go for. On the day Roger turned up promptly and entertained some of our guests, so I have heard. He also played our ceremony music with only one very tiny hitch, which we all laughed about after and had no bearing on the joy of the day. He helped rally our guests for our confetti throw, garden games and photos and gathered everyone to come for the reception meal. He also provided background music while we had canapes and photos taken and very kindly played my favourite and unusual Kermit the Frog song, It's Not Easy Being Green! Roger was very amenable to all our unusual requests such as 3 first dance songs instead of just one! He was also incredibly professional throughout the day. When I was too warm, he magically produced a little white hand fan from his pocket to lend to me, which I thought was a nice touch! Everyone was impressed with his attention to detail. Perhaps not so much my husband though, who will now hilariously always been known as "Knobby" since Roger overheard my affectionate nickname for him and announced it several times throughout the day. :D Overall, I cannot recommend Roger The Wedding Guy enough! He was a fantastic addition to our wedding day and we can't thank him enough for all the help he provided. Cheers!!

The place is super cozy, with stunning, picturesque views. I went there with my art group for a plein air painting session and absolutely loved it. The serene surroundings and well-kept beautiful garden make it a perfect spot for relaxing and getting inspired. Highly recommended!

What a pleasure it was to perform a Handfasting at the weekend in the utterly stunning setting of the grounds of Shillingstone House... one of the most beautiful venues I've seen yet - flawlessly styled and spotlessly clean, with breath taking countryside views and wonderful hosts. We had my nieces tipi wedding at this stunning setting. Lord and lady Caroline made us feel so welcome. They seamlessly helped with the little bits behind the scenes to make a very perfect wedding weekend. Having already done a tipi wedding five years previously. A beaming bride reviewing..... I cannot begin to thank Caroline and Michael enough for letting myself and Rufus have our wedding day at Shillingstone House, not only was the day itself so magical and joyous in their beautiful grounds, but the lead up to the day was fantastic. Caroline was extremely helpful and really took the time to understand what we wanted for the day and liaised with suppliers beforehand to help the day run smoothly. It's amazing that you can hire the grounds Friday -Sunday, it made decorating a really relaxing and enjoyable task as we had the whole day Friday to set up the site. I really loved Caroline's blog on her website as it was a great way to draw inspiration and again, I could see all the love and care she put into people's weddings days. Shillingstone House definitely doesn't feel like a wedding venue where you are on a conveyor belt and just a number- the whole day felt so personal. We are so so grateful that we got to have our wedding at Shillingstone House, our guests loved the beautiful fields and sensational flowers, there really was beauty everywhere you turned! Oakleaf provided the majority of the infrastructure for our garden wedding. Right from the beginning Tim and the team helped us narrow down what we needed and gave their opinion on what would work and what wouldn't. They provided clear and timely responses to questions in the build up and solutions to last minute needs. Everything was delivered, put up and taken down with minimal fuss and nothing was too much trouble. The final set up was very premium and exactly the aesthetic we were looking for. We recently used Oakleaf’s services over the course of our wedding weekend. They provided 4 large tipis, luxury portaloos and general help throughout the day. The tipis looked fantastic both outside and inside, especially the central bar setup. We interacted with Tim multiple times in the build up to the wedding and always found him accommodating and helpful. Oakleaf worked well with our other suppliers across the wedding and were well-prepared and professional throughout. A special shout out to the team managing the torrential rainfall during the weekend! We would thoroughly recommend Oakleaf’s services and would happily use them again in the future.

We enjoyed exceptional hospitality in beautiful surroundings at this wonderful wedding venue. We were guests, yet the owners and staff made extra effort to ensure we had a very pleasant experience. Of course the bride and groom, their families and support crew, created a memorable 2 days. We also camped overnight and were provided with a hearty breakfast the morning after...much needed. Attention to detail was outstanding (e.g. the ladies WC had a basket of essentials) the grounds were impeccable and decor was stunning (in a rustic, unpretentious way). We just cannot fault them, thank you.

We got married at Cott Farm in May this year and it was the perfect venue! The first time we went to Cott Farm we knew it was the place for us - the countryside surrounding it is beautiful, and the barn itself has all the facilities we were looking for, as well as the ability to personalise which nowadays with wedding venues are hard to come by! We had the venue for the whole wedding weekend which made everything feel so relaxed as we weren't rushed to set up or clean up. And then Becca & Ollie - it's difficult to sum up how helpful and friendly they are and I really don't think anything I can write will do them justice. From the day we met them, all the way up to the day after the wedding, they were on hand to help with everything - before the wedding: answering random questions via email, recommending vendors and order of the day; day of the wedding: being on hand with Pimm's for us when we arrived at the venue, fluffing up my dress for photos.... honestly I could go on, but all I can say is that the day was less stressful knowing that we were in their hands. If you're looking for somewhere in the countryside where you can create the wedding of your dreams with excellent owners and a relaxed feel - Cott Farm is the one.

We rented some beautiful table decorations and flower pillars that complimented our wedding venue perfectly.They have a great range of items in their showroom and Dawn was so helpful and patient in taking through what items to choose. They are very professional and coordinated directly with the venue and had a delivery option making it seamless and efficient (one less thing for me to worry about!). Highly recommend :)

Winterborne were absolutely brilliant and so helpful throughout our wedding journey. They decorated our ladders with faux plants, and the results were stunning—the photos speak for themselves. We received so many compliments, and you honestly couldn’t tell the plants were artificial. In the lead-up, the team was incredibly supportive. They ensured everything was set up quickly, allowing us to move on with the rest of the decorations without feeling rushed. They even offered additional staff to help with other decorative elements, which was such a kind gesture. We just can’t recommend Winterborne enough!

From the first visit to the styling barn with Dawn right up until the wedding day itself and after the event, Dawn was on hand to help with any questions we had. We opted to set the venue decorations up ourselves the day prior to the wedding and this was made so easy as the beautiful arches were set up for us and the rest of the items we ordered came in extremely organised boxes which saved a lot of time. We booked our wedding plans well in advance of the current pandemic for 2021 and found Sweet Forrest to provide us with decoration for the venue. Unfortunately, due the pandemic we had to rethink our big day and Sarah at Sweet Forrest was absolutely marvellous to us. She made the whole process very easy, has been very supportive to us and completely professional. When cancelling our plans, Sarah offered us a refund without any hesitation and processed this instantly. WHAT A VENUE! Having shot at venues all over Mapperton is just incredible. It has everything, and I mean everything. Multiple choices for the ceremony, STUNNING grounds, gorgeous barn. The most perfect day at a dream venue Patrick and I had the most incredible experience getting married at Mapperton. From the moment we first visited we knew it was the perfect venue for us due to how flexible, versatile and stunning it is. Holly our amazing wedding coordinator was one of the reasons we chose the venue and is a true asset to Mapperton. She was there to take us through the whole process, being a fountain of knowledge for amazing suppliers in the South West and nothing was too big an ask. Most importantly she made sure our day ran like clockwork and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Our guests have given us so many compliments saying it is the favourite wedding they have ever been to and this is all thanks to the hard work put in by the team at Mapperton. Well what can I say?! Our wedding day was an absolute dream from start to finish. The team is absolutely incredible, with special shout outs to Emma for her impeccable organisation and to Andrew for his flawless service. We had several mobility challenged members of our party and they left this event feeling like they’d been treated like absolute queens! Nothing was too much trouble, they were always checking everyone was happy and often anticipated what we wanted before we had even realised! We were in super safe hands and could fully relax into the day and just enjoy it. We will forever treasure these special memories that were made possible by this incredible team of people.
