Gorwell Farm hosted our wedding (and accommodation) and was excellent from beginning to end. It’s. A beautiful, rustic venue but has been fully modernised and updated with all conveniences for a wedding whilst still retaining the rustic feel. All queries were addressed quickly and we couldn’t imagine it being any better.

Went to a wedding reception here. Wow what a beautiful place Hiden out of the way. Really lovely venue. Drinks were very well priced at the bar. Amazing settings for an all in one wedding day. Camping facilities available but didn't use these.

Just got back from 5 nights at Gorwell Farm and had a fabulous time. Great location for exploring, peaceful setting, well equipped and comfortable cottage (Granary). Would definitely recommend and want to go back! The children (aged 12, 10, 10, 10, 8, 6) particularly enjoyed spending time with the horses, tennis, table tennis and basketball. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We chose Gorwell for our wedding in July 2024, booking two years prior. Mary and the Team are fantastic, you can really tell that they want your big day to be a success. Mary was full of recommendations for vendors, which was amazing as it can definitely feel overwhelming. Throughout the communication was fantastic and there was no such thing as a silly question. Well what can I say?! Our wedding day was an absolute dream from start to finish. The team is absolutely incredible, with special shout outs to Emma for her impeccable organisation and to Andrew for his flawless service. We had several mobility challenged members of our party and they left this event feeling like they’d been treated like absolute queens! Nothing was too much trouble, they were always checking everyone was happy and often anticipated what we wanted before we had even realised! We were in super safe hands and could fully relax into the day and just enjoy it. We will forever treasure these special memories that were made possible by this incredible team of people.

The absolute most perfect wedding venue ever! Mapperton had everything that we wanted and we absolutely fell in love with it, no venue in the area compared!! It was a complete blank canvas in the coach house which we really liked and there were many ceremony options (inside and outside) but we opted with the croquet lawn which was simply stunning. The gardens are sensational and many of our guests have said it’s the most beautiful wedding venue they have ever been to. There’s two cottages on site too so we used one for the bridal party and then one for the grooms, this was such an amazing option to have and really added to the whole weekend experience! Holly our wedding co-ordinator was incredible, so kind and understanding. No question was too big and she helped us quickly on any wedding advice / help that we needed. We really appreciated her being there through anything that we needed, she was amazing on the day and it all ran smoothly which was completely all her hard work but also leading up to the wedding too. She helped so much & we truly appreciate her! She really understood our vision. If you are thinking of booking Mapperton for your wedding then DO IT, it was simply a dream come true that we will remember for the rest of our lives!! :)

WHAT A VENUE! Having shot at venues all over Mapperton is just incredible. It has everything, and I mean everything. Multiple choices for the ceremony, STUNNING grounds, gorgeous barn. It honestly has it all. The staff are wonderful, so welcoming and really take care of their suppliers - which means they take care of their couples. It's a dream venue!

The most perfect day at a dream venue Patrick and I had the most incredible experience getting married at Mapperton. From the moment we first visited we knew it was the perfect venue for us due to how flexible, versatile and stunning it is. Holly our amazing wedding coordinator was one of the reasons we chose the venue and is a true asset to Mapperton. She was there to take us through the whole process, being a fountain of knowledge for amazing suppliers in the South West and nothing was too big an ask. Most importantly she made sure our day ran like clockwork and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Our guests have given us so many compliments saying it is the favourite wedding they have ever been to and this is all thanks to the hard work put in by the team at Mapperton. We can't wait to pop in, take a walk around the stunning Italian gardens and visit the Mapperton family to remember our special day.

The decor was stunning. Everyone complimented the set up of the ceremony room and how lovely the reception tables were. The Photo Booth was a massive hit with everyone. The chocolate foundation was good and the children loved it, as well as the sweet cart. Communication was good and always available for any queries.

Shauna and her team made my daughters wedding day spectacular, with a true princess style. Shauna went above and beyond ensuring everything went smoothly, stress free for the bride and made the church and venue look like the fairy tale she had dreamed of. Truly magical is the only words I can use to describe our wedding decor. I had a vision in mind and put all my trust in "a touch of class". I actually changed venues just so I could use them and I'm so glad I did. From the first message right until the day communication was prompt and informative and the day itself just blew us away ! Our guests commented it was tge most stunning set up they have ever seen and i totally agree. Absolutely perfect in every way !!

A HUGE thank you to Marcus and the team! We had so many people come up to us after our wedding to say the disco was amazing and the photobooth was just brilliant. We had our guests glue their photo straight into our guestbook for wonderful (and hilarious) memories. Marcus was super helpful, friendly and very accommodating as we wanted guests to be able to request songs. The website was very easy to use and add songs to our do/don’t playlist. Marcus surprised us with a rendition and it was just like the real thing! 100% would recommend

MJS Entertainment were absolutely brilliant from the planning of the wedding to the help on the day! They helped make the venue look stunning. The evening entertainment they provided was amazing and really made our wedding super special! Super friendly and always able to help make sure that we had everything we wanted for our wedding. Would definitely recommended using as many of their services as you can as everything they do is so perfect.

We used MJS for our wedding in November 2024 and they were absolutely amazing. From the get go Marcus was incredibly friendly and helpful, the website is easy to use and the whole team just brought such good vibes during the evening - we couldn’t be happier with our choice! Winterborne were absolutely brilliant and so helpful throughout our wedding journey. They decorated our ladders with faux plants, and the results were stunning—the photos speak for themselves. We received so many compliments, and you honestly couldn’t tell the plants were artificial. In the lead-up, the team was incredibly supportive. They ensured everything was set up quickly, allowing us to move on with the rest of the decorations without feeling rushed. They even offered additional staff to help with other decorative elements, which was such a kind gesture. We just can’t recommend Winterborne enough!

From the first visit to the styling barn with Dawn right up until the wedding day itself and after the event, Dawn was on hand to help with any questions we had. Julie is the most incredibly talented lady, focusing on the finest details to make your dream day a reality- Julie made my vision come to life for our wedding on 20.06.14. Julie went above and beyond in so many way to bring the whole wedding theme together... even to the last minute spritz of Jo Malone so it smelt divine as our guests arrived. I will treasure all our stationary forever. And recommend Julie to everyone getting hitched!

Penn is such a unique and incredibly beautiful place and location for a wedding or an event. A little bit like the Minack Theatre in Cornwall, it is set on a cliff top and has the most spectacular views. It provides a location for an event to remember. Having done location shots for the venue, styled shoots and weddings there, we know it well. Many of the rooms are brand new, set in to the cliff face and provide your own little peaceful sea view haven. The reception rooms and patio are just beautiful, light and fresh. And the team are wonderful too. We love it and are happy to shoot there anyway. Now we just need to get invited as guests at a wedding there so that we can enjoy it all!

I had the great pleasure of photographing a wedding here recently. The venue itself is simply stunning with everything being well maintained. The staff are really professional and they went above and beyond to look after me. I must make a special mention of the Wedding Planner on the day Tessa, who couldn't have been more helpful. I highly recommend Pennsylvania Castle Estate as a wedding venue.

This was a business stay, and we had 5 nights here. I was in Half Moon and it was wonderful. Clean and immaculate, towels were fluffy, and toiletries were in full order. They even have bedroom slippers and bathrobe. We failed to use every single room in the property just because we had beautiful sunshine most of the days we're there. Everywhere is picturesque and not to mention the little walks to the beach below was great fun as well. Pool was amazing, warm and beautiful with marble pool floor. Kitchen had the best tools to whip up a good meal and the dining room is so instagramable.

I had the pleasure to film a wedding, the venue is so beautiful, so many great spots and so well mantained, staff was brilliant, very well organised, everything as planned. I'm really looking forward to filming here again.

We were planning an outdoors wedding and Georgi at Scarlett Rose Events was extremely accommodating when we only wanted to hire sashes for our chairs. Georgi was so friendly to talk to when we were organising it and I felt like that part of our wedding decor was in safe hands. When the British weather decided to give us rain on our wedding day, Georgi stepped in last minute and allowed us to move our wedding inside and provided the most beautiful wedding arch dressed for our ceremony. It looked amazing and can only thank Georgi for coming to our rescue and creating such a beautiful wedding space. I would 100% recommend Georgi if you are after decor and set up for your event. The only reason why we didn’t hire more items from Georgi is because we just didn’t need it but her stock looks beautiful.

Harrison was incredibly efficient in the lead up to agreeing arrangements for our daughter’s wedding and the team were equally professional on the day. The bar became the centre of the post-dinner party with excellent cocktails and magnificent service. Strongly recommend.

We used Cartails for our wedding in July. They were absolutely great, perfect from start to finish. We had lots of zoom meetings before the wedding making sure everything was exactly as we wanted, and Josh was always on hand to answer questions and change things around to make them perfect. The team were fab on the day - the guests all said how lovely the bar staff were, and the cocktails were DELICIOUS! Couldn't recommend them more.
