We were lucky enough to have Laura as our celebrant in August. She was very organised, adaptable and patient (especially as we didn't finish our script until very close to the day itself)! We also loved the vows/readings that she got printed for us as a keepsake, even matching the ribbon to the theme of the wedding. All our guests commented on what a brilliant job Laura did - that she comes across so natural, and just like a friend, which is exactly the kind of vibe we wanted on our wedding day. Laura conducted our wedding ceremony on the 3rd of June this year and from start to finish when we enquired she was amazing. She was person centred as a couple, Laura wrote our whole ceremony script by hand by sending us a questionnaire a few months before the date, the finished product was beautiful and really captured us as a couple, the highs, lows, the battles, involved every member of our family in our ceremony including our children and our baby we lost in March 2020 which we even shared a moment and lit a candle for during the ceremony which meant so much as this is something we never forget about and was lovely to feel our baby that never made it here to earth with us could be there with us to see us unite and complete as a family. As part of a split family I asked if I could write a speech to my stepson during the ceremony to share with him some promises to him which was a lovely thing that Laura managed to put together. Everything was so well written and beautiful. During the ceremony to involve all our children we did a sand fasting where we poured separate little glass bottles of sand from our local beach and glitter for the children and poured them to combine them into a 3D frame to symbolise our joining of a separate family united and never separated again by the grains of sand/glitter. Laura always stayed in contact with us from booking (about 18months before ceremony until the day) she even sent us a beautiful Christmas card with seeds to grow a plant! When we wanted alterations to the ceremony script Laura was happy to do them as she wanted us to have the ceremony the way we wanted. She came to see us the day before to make sure everything was going ok, to check how we wanted everything, who was going to do what, so everything went so smoothly on the day and it really made everything just beautiful and we really couldn't have asked for anything more. The way the vows we're printed in booklets too, have been beautiful keepsakes we got a his and hers one along with a few other little bits. All of my friends and family have said how they cried through the ceremony because they felt they followed through our whole journey of our relationship from start to now our new chapter with learning some new intimate things we haven't shared before. We would never have got this experience if we'd have married anywhere else. We class Laura as not just a celebrant now, she's our friend. Thank you Laura Bell for everything. You are a beautiful woman, writer and we are so thankful for how incredible you made our day. If you are thinking of booking Laura Bell, do it you won't be disappointed. We were delighted to have One Thousand Words as our wedding photographers for our wedding at Parley Manor in June! The photos that Tom and Murray captured for us are totally brilliant. They did such a great job of getting the perfect mixture of posed photos alongside more natural moments. Some of the shots are so gorgeous they take our breath away! They were so helpful on the day - at one point even trying to track down our missing sparklers for us! I cannot emphasise enough how fantastic Tom and Murray were in capturing our wedding day. From the first day we met them through to completion of our wedding album, we were so chuffed with everything they did for us. We booked them before covid and our wedding was sadly postponed several times due to the pandemic, but they were so accommodating and helpful throughout. It was so important to us to have photographers that made us feel comfortable as they would be with us for almost the entire day and they did just that. Two genuinely lovely gents that felt like friends by the end. Having two photographers made such a difference as we were able to capture the most memorable shots from several angles without even knowing where they were half the time! And it meant that both bride and groom got some great shots during the morning prep. I would highly recommend you book one thousand words photography for your wedding. We will always be grateful for their ability to capture the classic shots whilst throwing in a bit of humour along the way.

Tom & Murray were absolutely fantastic! From the initial consultation to get our quote, Tom instantly reassured me that we were going to adore their style and service, as his friendly nature shone through. Nothing was too much trouble at any point. We had an amazing engagement shoot where Tom calmed our nerves and really helped us be comfortable in front of the camera. On the wedding day, they were a blessing. Ready to jump right in with ties and button holes or making breakfast, they really kept the day together and running smoothly!! Each and every one of our guests were full of praise for them and adored their laid back photography style that wasn't invasive. Not only do we adore their photos of us (sneak peak has got us so excited for the next instalment!!!), their personalities are also a massive reason why they should be your choice of photographer. We will be singing their praises and recommending them forever more!

We are so so happy we went with Tom and Murray for our wedding photographs. They were friendly, easy going, flexible and helped out with literally everything (whether that was helping the groom with this tie or fiddly buttons on the wedding dress)! They exceeded our expectations and made us so relaxed. As the groom is not a natural in front of the camera, they made sure to take the shots in a way that allowed him to relax and have fun with it. It was like hanging out with friends when we had our couple shots and then during the reception they seamlessly assimilated with the guests and popped up as and when we needed them. I love all the photographs and I only wish I had more!! All our family and friends raved about the photos and just said they perfectly captured the essence of our wedding day. Sam decorated for our Wedding at Balmer Lawn last Saturday and she did an incredible job it was everything that I hoped for and more! We explained what we wanted and showed pictures and nothing was too much trouble and she got everything spot on. The candles, vases etc that she used were just so beautiful and exactly the style I wanted. She made use of the table decor on the window sills and registrar table during the ceremony so nowhere in the room looked empty. We had soo many compliments on the decor and how beautiful it was. Sam was an absolute delight from start to finish. I knew I wanted everything at our wedding to look pretty, but had no idea how to make it look nice, fortunately Sam did! I gave her some vague ideas, and she put together exactly what I wanted somehow. She was really easy to get hold of and talk to. We adjusted some things closer to the date, and everything came together beautifully. I would highly recommend Sam to anyone!

Could not recommend Linen and Lace enough. Sam made our venue look even better than I imagined and her attention to detail was exquisite. We wanted a rustic feel with lots of pretty lights/candles and she made it work. She went above and beyond and even helped with the flowers! She also made it stress free for us. Everything was taken care of.

I can’t thank Sam at Linen and Lace enough. She worked tirelessly to make our vision come to life. I had all my own decor and a plan for our wedding that was very detailed and Sam executed it perfectly. I am sure that I nearly killed her but she did it with ease, professionalism and a smile on her face, it was like working with a good friend. I am so grateful as she created this bespoke for us and I could not have asked for more. She set up, packed down and out of hundreds of glass items and a van full, it all made it back. It was expertly done. Very highly recommended. I enjoyed every moment setting up with her. Her comms are fantastic and she has an excellent eye for detail. If you want your decor to be something people will talk about, Sam is your girl. She loves whats she does and puts her heart and soul into it. A day to remember thank you so much x

Shillingstone House is a charming old country manor house with a lovely setting ideal for weddings. We went with an art group to paint "Plein Air". The gardens were full of colour with interesting plants for botanical studies. The kitchen garden was delightful in its assortment of plants and blooms. The house itself is full of charming architectural angles and loads of character and makes for a great artistic opportunity to capture its charm. There are beautiful old trees and lovely wide lawns, the host and hostess were very friendly and accommodating.

A beaming bride reviewing..... I cannot begin to thank Caroline and Michael enough for letting myself and Rufus have our wedding day at Shillingstone House, not only was the day itself so magical and joyous in their beautiful grounds, but the lead up to the day was fantastic. Caroline was extremely helpful and really took the time to understand what we wanted for the day and liaised with suppliers beforehand to help the day run smoothly. It's amazing that you can hire the grounds Friday -Sunday, it made decorating a really relaxing and enjoyable task as we had the whole day Friday to set up the site. I really loved Caroline's blog on her website as it was a great way to draw inspiration and again, I could see all the love and care she put into people's weddings days. Shillingstone House definitely doesn't feel like a wedding venue where you are on a conveyor belt and just a number- the whole day felt so personal. We are so so grateful that we got to have our wedding at Shillingstone House, our guests loved the beautiful fields and sensational flowers, there really was beauty everywhere you turned! The place is super cozy, with stunning, picturesque views. I went there with my art group for a plein air painting session and absolutely loved it. The serene surroundings and well-kept beautiful garden make it a perfect spot for relaxing and getting inspired. Highly recommended!

We had my nieces tipi wedding at this stunning setting. Lord and lady Caroline made us feel so welcome. They seamlessly helped with the little bits behind the scenes to make a very perfect wedding weekend. Having already done a tipi wedding five years previously. I can only support and endorse what a great place for a wedding with such super hosts Lord and Lady Michael and Caroline Salt.

Great place to see. From Durdle Door to Lulworth Cove beautiful and peaceful. Nice walk but beware a lot of stairs and quite steep on the way back. Lovely little village with many restaurants to chose from and ice cream place etc. Durdle Door is worse seeing. Crafted by nature and standing proud. Stairs to go down to the beach as well.

Went to Lulworth Castle. In ruins because of a fire in 1929 but must have been fabulous before that!

we really enjoyed walking around the Lulworth Estate with the dog looking at the park and grounds of the castle, as well as the Church- we paid £3 to park and wander around the estate, we saw the outside of the castle, great spot for a walk

Stunning coastal scenery and very picturesque houses down in the cove. Immaculately kept holiday park and a good variety of cafés, shops and restaurants.

This is an excellent company to hire anything wedding or party from! When my partner and I first started wedding planning we didn't like the chairs that the hotel provided (they were normal blue plush chairs - nothing wrong with them just not our style or fit the theme of our wedding) and we didn't like the look of chair covers as we thought it made the chairs look more clunky. So we started researching hiring chairs, we met Luminique at a wedding fair at the Marwell Hotel, and they blew our minds. The chairs were of such good quality and were reasonably priced. The team were wonderful and dropped the chairs in the morning with plenty of time for set up and picked them up on the evening so we didn't need to worry about delivery. As we were getting closer to the wedding I was worried about the chairs holding the weight of my dress as my parents went to a wedding with the same style chairs and they were super uncomfortable, but not these chairs! These chairs are so comfy, and we're able to hold both myself and my large dress with no fuss

Luminique were absolutely incredible and helped make our wedding stunning! From booking them all the way through the process their service was outstanding and they were so friendly, helpful and responsive! They worked really hard to bring our vision for our day to life and we were blown away by the final outcome! They went above and beyond, working with our venue to make sure everything went smoothly and we really couldn't have asked for more! They were so quick in getting everything set up and even coming back to move things/change things after our ceremony! Thank you so much and I highly recommend Luminque to everyone!

We had a bulb plank, fairy lights on the ceiling and fairy lights on the back wall- it made the venue look so magical. Winterborne were absolutely brilliant and so helpful throughout our wedding journey. They decorated our ladders with faux plants, and the results were stunning—the photos speak for themselves. We received so many compliments, and you honestly couldn’t tell the plants were artificial. In the lead-up, the team was incredibly supportive. They ensured everything was set up quickly, allowing us to move on with the rest of the decorations without feeling rushed. They even offered additional staff to help with other decorative elements, which was such a kind gesture. We just can’t recommend Winterborne enough!

Absolutely fantastic job from Winterborne Hire & Styling! We rented some beautiful table decorations and flower pillars that complimented our wedding venue perfectly.They have a great range of items in their showroom and Dawn was so helpful and patient in taking through what items to choose. They are very professional and coordinated directly with the venue and had a delivery option making it seamless and efficient (one less thing for me to worry about!). Highly recommend :)

We hired Winterborne Hire & Styling for our wedding in July and honestly it was the easiest, best decision we made for our big day! Dawn was so helpful and understood our vision the entire process. She really listened and ordered in pieces we needed to really bring our colour scheme and vision to light. I can’t recommend them enough!

After discussing what we needed, they produced some spectacular arrangements to suit the theme for our wedding and to match our fresh flowers. Just completed a coasteering session this morning with Lulworth Outdoors, our guide Steve was fantastic, he made us feel very comfortable in what we were doing and his knowledge of the coastal geology was a great way to learn about the Jurassic coast. I had the most amazing experience coasteering with my family. Our instructor Steve was really fantastic and so relaxed! Nothing was too much trouble for him. He was also very encouraging when we were jumping and I even manged to jump from a lot higher cliff then I thought I ever would! My husband said this was the best coasteering experience he has ever tried and he did try few! This was my first one and will treasure the memory forever. Thank you Steve & Lulworth Outdoors

Absolutely gorgeous wedding venue. The cottages make for a lovely place for family/wedding party to stay and get ready on the day. My only comment is the cottage kitchens could do with a bit more kitchen utensils/plates/basic necessities etc, we didn't have enough knives and forks on the Hayloft for the people staying there

When we started planning our wedding we wanted it to be like a weekend away with all of our family with a wedding thrown in. We were in love with Marshwood Manor as soon as we walked into the bar and as we saw the cottages, the wildflower meadow and the woodland Bower for the ceremony we knew this place was for us. Marshwood Manor was a home away from home for us and our guests. It is idyllic. For our wedding we did not need over the top decorations, installations, flowers as the setting has a natural beauty of its own.

A lovely holiday home. We stayed in the Hayloft and had a great time. The owners are close by and very helpful, and their dogs were equally lovely. We were 7 adults and 3 kids. The play areas were good and the children spent a lot of time outside. The lovely kitchen table meant we spent a lot of time together which was good.

As soon as we viewed the Mill for our wedding venue, we booked it straight away. We had so many comments of how stunning the venue was and the staff were all fantastic throughout our wedding planning. On the day everything ran so smoothly and they accommodated to all of our needs. We can't thank you all enough for the most perfect wedding day! 100% recommend to anyone thinking of getting married here! You will not be disappointed!

Sopley Mill is an absolutely stunning venue with a passionate team who really take care of their couples and their recommended suppliers! Working with Kelly and the team at the start of the year was a real highlight, allowing one of my couples to enjoy an extra special moment dancing together at The Mill. If you are looking for an intimate and rustic venue ,then look no further than Sopley Mill. It was exactly what we had pictured . A beautiful building set on the River . It is simply stunning . The low beams , exposed brickwork and beautiful natural lighting. It really is a dream. So much space yet not too spaced out that you lose everyone . You pretty much have a blank canvas you can do exactly what you want with . Please do go and have a look .

We had Sopley Mill as our wedding venue and it was truly lovely. Both the inside and outside of the venue have fantastic views and is just beautiful to look around. Plenty of guests commented on how amazing the mill is and I am so glad we had our wedding here. The staff at Sopley Mill are incredibly supportive and helped ensure everything that was organised for the day went smoothly, I cannot say thanks enough to them.
