Brilliant! Responded straight back to my call (at about noon on a Thursday), confirmed an appointment time and was here within about 3 hours. Whilst being delayed in traffic, kept me posted on ETA. Very professional, courteous, honest and helpful demeanour. Quickly diagnosed the issue (mechanical failure of main RCD switch on an old fuse board) and by some amazing chance, he had an old replacement switch, and got the power restored to my home. I then asked him to quote for installing an extractor fan, and am delighted to have found him. He charged a typical amount I think, for London, not a rip-off, and didn't demand a call out fee. He has a clean looking pick-up truck, had all the necessary tools and diagnostic equipment, and was clearly determined to get the problem solved. I will definitely pass his details on to any local friends and neighbours if needed. Highly recommended!
