“The new Scandic House is back & better than ever. Under new management the food is so deliciously fresh & the vibe so chilling it makes you feel like you’ve taken a load off when you visit. The soup is an absolute favourite, home made with traditional home made bread by a real Italian! If you’ve not been for a while - it’s time to go back!”

Coffee King Cafe - Halifax

“Out today late afternoon I decided to come in to town for a quick cuppa I normally have my quite cuppa at coffee @no1 in Halifax town because of there out side seats, but since they close at 4 and o was later in town I thought of tring a new one so this opposite No1 and I came in as soon as i walked in I had this hood feeling of the palace nice settings in side as well as out side seating and above all I have to say the young lady behind the counter was amazingly welcoming definitely a credit to the shop (Naomi) the young lady’s name, most definitely be coming here again on my stroll in to town for a refreshing cuppa and maybe a scone next lol definitely recommend tring even if it’s just to see the welcome if of the young lady. Once again after my Friday prayer I just felt like a coffee and enjoyments of seeing the world go by at one of my favorite (now) cafeteria, even though it was hard to make the choice between the two I enjoy in Halifax town center, eventually I chose this one coffee king but certainly not over coffee No1, but equally as good , and what in my opinion makes both of these places special for me is the fact they have seating out side but more then this the staff are very pleasant and joyful and on that note today I was served by a young lady named Kiera and it’s true about best things come in small packages lol most definitely recommend for others and use this place for it’s excellent coffee the views and above all the very pleasant staff.12/10/24 out again after couple of weeks away been ill was hospitalized so felt somewhat better so decided to have coffee here today coffee mocha and well rather disappointing as it’s lukewarm at best have told the young man behind the counter who has kindly brought me another cup thanks you but for some reason I feel it maybe loosing its charm now am not sure if it’s new stuff or what but I have not enjoyed my coffee as much as I usually do,”

“Very nice smashed burger. The beef did not have a fatty smell to it like some other placed. The loaded chicken fries were nice only recommendation is to add more onions and maybe Cabbage for extra crunch and an option to add some chilli/Peri Peri sauce to give it a bit of tanginess, otherwise it was really good! Will defo be back to try more things.”

“An evening Christmas event of bauble decorating. Well thought out evening with as much, or as little, help and inspiration! Cannot thank the team enough for such a happy atmosphere, and finished product. Limitless paint and accessories so felt luxurious, we weren’t limited in any aspect. Add in warm and comfortable Cakery, festive music, perfect cakes. The Staff went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. Congratulations to the Cakery, couldn’t have been improved on.”
