I love this place! I've waited 4 years for a return visit here from Australia, and top of my list of things to do was have lunch at Merrie England! This time I had the eggs, sausage, tomatoe, with everything on a tea cake, and it was the duck's guts. The ladies working are gorgeous and the atmosphere is happy. I will definitely visit again before I leave in the next 2 weeks.
Had food here yesterday whilst the Xmas market was on. We couldn't decide what to eat and it was suggested we try a giant Yorkshire with Turkey, cranberry.and stuffing. Well...what can I say! Best meal I've had for ages. Ladies thank you for recommending, it was delicious. Next time I'm in Halifax I'm eating here!
Always lovely polite staff. Roast beef salad sandwiches are the best around, me and my sister always call in when shopping in Halifax. Merry Christmas 🎄 too all the staff.
The manager of the merrie England is the best they have had in years, All the staff are very good and helpful. Very welcoming Atmosphere.
Great little cafe in the heart of Halifax. Good food,Great service, and very friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit.
