We used Black Cherry Events for our wedding in July this year. With living in Australia i was a bit nervous planing a wedding from the other side of the world. The help and advice they gave us was great. The venue we picked recommended Black Cherry Events in their short list of Marquee hire, in fact 90% of venues we looked at had these guys down as recommendations. Thanks for everything you did to make our day PERFECT.

I used Black Cherry Events for a large marquee in my garden for my wedding pre events and I would 100% recommend!! The marquee itself was absolutely beautiful from the structure itself to the interior (carpets, sofas, chairs, lighting, speakers). Everything was literally perfect. Claire designed my layout and came out to do the site visit and she was an absolute dream. She answered my every query and put in a lot of time/effort to ensure I got the layout/design of my dreams. We had a lot of emails back and forth and she never failed to reply promptly! The men setting up the marquee on the day were calm, professional and polite. Everyone commented on how beautiful our marquee was and I will definitely use Black Cherry Events again for future events - thank you! 🤍

Claire and her team were our chosen marquee provider for our wedding on the Easter weekend on 31 March 2018. We spoke to a number of companies who quoted and we felt Claire understood what we were seeking to achieve and we believed her and the team could deliver. Claire made the time for several site visits and the team were a good friendly tea-supping bunch. We had a few niggles with water coming in around the heaters given heavy downpours which were unavoidable but Claire came down and sorted it on the eve of the wedding to allay our fears / stress. Would highly recommend using Black Cherry Events. Marquee of great quality, functional reveal curtain, quality drapes and dance area with star cloth and wooden bar worked really well

When we first met Sian we knew she would be perfect as our wedding coordinator. She was so friendly and reassuring and we instantly knew we were in good hands. Sian took over control of the supplier at the 6 week mark in order to get the schedule together. This was so helpful and really took the pressure off us. We really couldn't have asked for anything more. On the day Sian was amazing and so professional. She kept us on schedule while letting us go with the flow. It all ran so smoothly and we had the most incredible day!! We really appreciate everything you did and you went above and beyond for us. I would highly recommend Sain to anyone!!

After we postponed our wedding a year due to covid, I felt a little overwhelmed by resuming our planning and so reached out to Sian for her on the day coordination and some additional help in terms of childcare for our daughter aged nearly 2 on the later evening. Sian was brilliant coordinating the suppliers, it was a blank canvas venue and so we had numerous suppliers to link in with. Sian helped with last minute plans, picked up our props for the day and coordinated the set up. We hired Sian as our day-of co-ordinator for our wedding, and I am so so glad we did. She was really helpful in the last few weeks leading up to the wedding, helping tie all the details together and acting as a liaison for our other vendors which was really useful. Where Sian really shone was on the day of the wedding - we did a lot of DIY elements (bringing in a lot of our own food, drinks, and decorations) and hired in multiple independent vendors, and so there were a lot of moving parts, things that needed co-ordinating and delegating, and things that needed to happen at specific times and in specific areas. And thanks to Sian, it all went perfectly - every single thing we requested or put on the to do list got done (even last minute additions) and the day just flowed so seamlessly due to all her hard work behind the scenes. I cannot recommend Sian highly enough, she was so friendly and accommodating and we had such a fun and stress-free day all because of her work. Thank you!

We can’t recommend Sian enough! Being able to hand everything over to her 6 weeks before the wedding was such a weight off our shoulders, and really lifted that worry of ‘oh gosh what if we forget something’! Having Sian taking care of everything also completely transformed our experience on the day - rather than having to worry about the florist coming to set up and the bar and all the other suppliers arriving, we could just get ourselves ready and enjoy the excitement with our friends and family. Rather than having to ‘host’, we got to fully enjoy our day. She is also just so lovely and kind, a wonderful person to have around on the big day!

We met Rosie through family friends who highly recommended her services. After getting engaged in December 2020, mid pandemic, we felt we needed an expert on board to guide us and hold our hand through the wedding planning process. Rosie provided exactly that and more. She took the time to understand our vision, kept a close eye on the budget whilst being personable, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We could never have pulled of the wedding without Rosie and I wouldn’t have wanted to do it without her either. She’s worth her weight in gold and couldn’t recommend her highly enough!

Rosie has been completely amazing throughout the wedding planning process and beyond. She is professional, reliable, proactive, and responsive; I genuinely don’t know what we would have done without her! She planned our wedding at Elmore Court in December 2020 and guided us through not only the process itself but also the fact we had to adapt from a 160 person wedding to a micro wedding with 16 people. We felt completely safe in her hands and I could not recommend Rosie Green Events highly enough!

If you’re looking for a wedding planner, look no further! Rosie is not only an incredibly organised, knowledgeable and professional planner but she’s also an absolute babe. She’s like having a best friend by your side every step of the way who knows all the good tips and tricks. She listened to exactly what we wanted and helped us create the most magical day. She was invaluable in the run up and even more so on the day. It was such a joy to have her as it meant we could just enjoy the day and not have to worry about anything. We booked our wedding at Ponden Mill Weddings way back in the Summer of 2020. Fast forward to 23rd July 2022 and the Ponden Mill Weddings team were instrumental in making our day as fun and amazing as possible! Elkie and Jamie were on site for our wedding and accommodated us amazingly, whether it was running the bar, making sure our guests were happy or pressing play on our ceremony playlist - they absolutely smashed it! What a fantastic day! The venue is a beautiful canvas for any type of wedding - ours was very much a colourful, DIY festival themed event that came together beautifully. We're absolutely delighted with how everything turned out and could not recommend booking this venue more. We had our wedding at Ponden Mill on 13 April 2024 and had the best day of our lives. If you are thinking about booking here as your wedding venue, do it! I can safely say we have no regrets. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, including the surroundings. We didn’t need to spend a lot on dressing the venue because it largely speaks for itself, and the lighting etc. is already there to make it look amazing on the photos. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and that was with very little effort from us on decoration! Elkie was our main contact and was just an absolute dream. I am a perfectionist and hyper organised so I very often don’t feel like people are as ‘on it’ as me, but I never once felt that with Elkie! She is so helpful, responsive and knowledgable. I always really appreciated her honest advice and guidance, and reassurance when we needed it. All of the team are great however. Everyone there both the day before, and the day of were so professional, helpful and friendly. The level of service really needs to be shouted about. I will do a separate review for the Outside Kitchen who do the food, but another bonus of booking Ponden is that they are your caterers and, wow, the food was insane!! We would be forever grateful to Elkie and team for all they did towards the absolute best day of our lives. If we could do it all again, we absolutely would!

We got married at Ponden Mill in August this year and had an amazing day. Elkie and Francesca who run the show are lovely and chilled and they know what they are doing. Everything went very smoothly in the lead up and on the day which took away the stress. One of the reasons we chose Ponden was because it felt more laid back and friendly than some other wedding venues which felt quite 'stiff' in terms of what you could and couldn't do, as well as being able to set up the day before and stay in the attached cottage. The outside ceremony area is lovely and the inside doesn't need loads of decoration. The food and drinks from The Outside Kitchen were delicious too, many of our guests commented on how great the meal was Would definitely recommend Ponden as a wedding venue!

We had our wedding at Ponden mill this November, and we cannot give enough praise to the team. We knew as soon as we went to see the venue that it was for us it’s just suited us a couple and for the atmosphere we wanted for our day. The team were so friendly and just immediately understood what we were after. The communication was outstanding nothing was ever too much trouble and the support with booking accommodation was so helpful. The food I don’t even know where to start from the tasting night where we rolled home to on the day, the outside kitchen delivered. Our guests have not stopped talking about in particular our vegan guests who said it’s be the best food they have ever had. But it was the little touches that meant the most being saved a pizza for when the guest had left to enjoy just us two was so special. On the day the team were fantastic in helping the day run smoothly, checking in with us and making sure we were ok. Massive thank you to all especially Elkie who was our go to person for anything, and the whole team thank you all so much.

I run a Wedding floristry business and have recently relocated up to North Yorkshire (from South Yorkshire) as a result of this I have enquired with The UK Wedding Event about attending their Wedding Fairs to reach new clients. I attended my first one yesterday (26/3/24) and had a really positive experience. On booking I was kept up to speed with the details of the day, my emails were promptly replied to and I received a call to discuss the details of the day and my requirements. I was already impressed. Alison did an amazing job for our wedding reception - everything looked better than we could have imagined!! Wow! Our expectations were already high from our chats and the samples we had already seen with Alison beforehand - but wow, everything far exceeded beyond what we imagined! Sometimes it can be hard to put into words what you are envisioning, but Alison had fully grasped what we were looking for and executed it amazingly on the day. Every detail was absolutely spot on. Everything was positioned well, balanced, the colour scheme as perfect, and included personal touches that made it so special to us. The actual decor itself is also high quality - our guests couldn’t believe that the floral displays weren’t real! Alison is also really easy to get on with and work with, we would recommend highly for wedding decor!

We couldn't recommend Alison enough after our wedding at Thorpe Park Hotel last month - Alison was able to provide a twinkle curtain for our ceremony room (at fairly short notice!) and was absolutely amazing.
