Sophie has a wonderful eye for detail and styling. Her hire items are lovely and it's hard to limit yourself to not hiring them all! My taste was outside Sophie's understated, classic wedding style but she ran with it and embraced the colour and fun feel I wanted for our wedding. On the day she was invaluable and our plain venue was transformed into a fiesta. Sophie as a person is calm, friendly and professional. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her styling and hire service to anyone.

Clare and the team did the most amazing job of dressing our wedding venue! We got married in Holmes Mill which is chic and industrial, it's gorgeous, but we really wanted to add as much greenery to it as possible as we'd originally planned for a forest wedding. After a few emails, we met with Clare at Holmes Mill to talk through our thoughts and she was so reassuring and also really enthusiastic to bring our ideas to life! Clare had loads of experience and expertise to support us with making the decisions, and she kept us up to date in the lead up to the day, as well as making recommendations based on new items she had available. And oh my god did the Atmosphere team deliver! Everything looked incredible, our main contact at Holmes Mill said that it was the best he had ever seen the room! Clare is the best hands down. When I was researching venue dressers she answered all my questions promptly and sent so many photos. When we met up for our consultation she absolutely got my vision and had so many amazing ideas to make it even better. The choice of items she has is incredible and when you see it all put together it’s the most beautiful thing ever. Barry and his team were brilliant from start to finish. Barry was always quick to respond to my emails and very helpful with finalising all the tables, chairs, benches and light up letters we wanted. We even hired more amazing bits like chandeliers and mobile charging points. All the stuff we hired was brilliant and set up and collection of everything was perfect. I highly recommend this company and their service.

Typical type aka Kerri and Barry supplied our wedding in October at east Riddlesden hall. Kerri and Barry had fantastic communication from start to finish and offered their help and support if needed. The cost was very reasonable and Barry was kind enough to give us some discount as they were supplying a wedding the day before at the same venue. Thank you for this. We hired the red neon sign let’s be wild together this was a great backdrop for photos, the pallet seating was perfect for our evening guests and the lighting outside was just beautiful. We hired the heart festoon fence and twinkle lights for the top of the barn and in the large tree outside the barn. It all looked magical at night and we were lucky enough to have a warm October evening to enjoy the lights. I will definitely be using typical type again in the future and would strongly recommend them if your planning a wedding they are amazing. Thank you for making our day extra special.

We had our wedding at Ponden mill this November, and we cannot give enough praise to the team. We knew as soon as we went to see the venue that it was for us it’s just suited us a couple and for the atmosphere we wanted for our day. The team were so friendly and just immediately understood what we were after. The communication was outstanding nothing was ever too much trouble and the support with booking accommodation was so helpful. The food I don’t even know where to start from the tasting night where we rolled home to on the day, the outside kitchen delivered. Our guests have not stopped talking about in particular our vegan guests who said it’s be the best food they have ever had. But it was the little touches that meant the most being saved a pizza for when the guest had left to enjoy just us two was so special. On the day the team were fantastic in helping the day run smoothly, checking in with us and making sure we were ok. Massive thank you to all especially Elkie who was our go to person for anything, and the whole team thank you all so much.

We booked our wedding at Ponden Mill Weddings way back in the Summer of 2020. Fast forward to 23rd July 2022 and the Ponden Mill Weddings team were instrumental in making our day as fun and amazing as possible! Elkie and Jamie were on site for our wedding and accommodated us amazingly, whether it was running the bar, making sure our guests were happy or pressing play on our ceremony playlist - they absolutely smashed it! What a fantastic day! The venue is a beautiful canvas for any type of wedding - ours was very much a colourful, DIY festival themed event that came together beautifully. We're absolutely delighted with how everything turned out and could not recommend booking this venue more. We had our wedding at Ponden Mill on 13 April 2024 and had the best day of our lives. If you are thinking about booking here as your wedding venue, do it! I can safely say we have no regrets. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, including the surroundings. We didn’t need to spend a lot on dressing the venue because it largely speaks for itself, and the lighting etc. is already there to make it look amazing on the photos. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and that was with very little effort from us on decoration! Elkie was our main contact and was just an absolute dream. I am a perfectionist and hyper organised so I very often don’t feel like people are as ‘on it’ as me, but I never once felt that with Elkie! She is so helpful, responsive and knowledgable. I always really appreciated her honest advice and guidance, and reassurance when we needed it. All of the team are great however. Everyone there both the day before, and the day of were so professional, helpful and friendly. The level of service really needs to be shouted about. I will do a separate review for the Outside Kitchen who do the food, but another bonus of booking Ponden is that they are your caterers and, wow, the food was insane!! We would be forever grateful to Elkie and team for all they did towards the absolute best day of our lives. If we could do it all again, we absolutely would!

We got married at Ponden Mill in August this year and had an amazing day. Elkie and Francesca who run the show are lovely and chilled and they know what they are doing. Everything went very smoothly in the lead up and on the day which took away the stress. One of the reasons we chose Ponden was because it felt more laid back and friendly than some other wedding venues which felt quite 'stiff' in terms of what you could and couldn't do, as well as being able to set up the day before and stay in the attached cottage. The outside ceremony area is lovely and the inside doesn't need loads of decoration. The food and drinks from The Outside Kitchen were delicious too, many of our guests commented on how great the meal was Would definitely recommend Ponden as a wedding venue!

I decided to hire a wedding stylist to relieve the pressure off myself and my family from having to dress the venue on the morning of the wedding, and I couldn’t have made a better decision in choosing Sarah! Sarah came highly recommended by our wedding photographer. After sharing my mood board with her, she provided a comprehensive catalogue of items available for rent. Sarah is incredibly knowledgeable about what works best for various venues and was adept at capturing the theme I wanted. She worked closely with our chosen florist to ensure that the decorations and flowers complemented each other beautifully. Sarah matched our bespoke stationery with lovely ribbons and tapered candles perfectly, bringing everything together seamlessly. I trusted her completely, and we received countless compliments on how stunning the decorations were. Knowing she was in charge of the setup took so much stress off my shoulders on the big day, and she truly brought my vision to life! Her familiarity with the venue (having styled many weddings there before) was invaluable, as she provided guidance on the best table layouts and overall setup. Sarah thought of all the little details that I had missed, like bringing umbrellas to the onsite accommodations in case of rain, as well as blanket boxes for our welcome party the night before. Sarah is such a warm and lovely person, and it was a pleasure to have her as part of our special day. I can’t recommend Stories of Events enough! If you're considering a wedding stylist, look no further—Sarah will exceed your expectations!

Sarah is absolutely incredible! The beauty Sarah created for our Wedding day was absolutely stunning. We were able to go back in to our ceremony room afterwards and we also had a walk around our wedding breakfast room before our guests were invited in, the beauty Sarah creates is just magical, it completely transformed the space. Wow! What more can I say? Vickie was so helpful from start to finish and her work is amazing. The venue was decorated so beautifully for my 40th party. From the seat covers and sashes, to the pretty centrepieces, to the balloons, to the twinkly lights on the stage. Everyone commented on how beautiful the room looked. I recently collaborated with Vickie on a wedding styled shoot and her styling knowledge and expertise were second to none! We met for a coffee and discussed my vision for the shoot and then Vickie ran with the idea and pulled out all the stops to create a gorgeous table scape and cake table. It was essential that we used repurposed and ethically sourced décor and Vickie didn't disappoint - she brought along homemade beeswax candles, charity shop finds and some gorgeous linen napkins. Her vision for bringing together the whole style of the shoot was amazing! Can't wait for our next collaboration!

I'd met Vickie and the Spectacular Scenes team on a few occasions at various wedding fairs and always liked what I saw. Jess and her team were amazing, they were friendly and so, so organised. Jess helped make the lead-up to our wedding run seamlessly, which meant we didn’t have all the stress of sorting everything out. As she is a wedding expert, she gave us great tips and advice about how best to set out our day, we wouldn’t have had a clue otherwise! On the day of our wedding, everything ran to time and went perfectly and she was a very calming presence for my husband when he was getting a bit stressed out. It was like a professional production and we could just relax and enjoy ourselves - we even forgot they were there sometimes! We would highly recommended hiring Jess to coordinate your wedding, it’s a no brainer really, you can have an amazing well-put together wedding and no stress!

My husband and I got married in July 2024, and utilised Jess’ on the day wedding coordination package - but what her and her team give you is so so much more than that! We booked a venue which required lots of different suppliers (separate caterer, bar company, linen hire, port-a-loos etc….) and in the run up to it I said to my husband that I really wanted someone I could hand everything over to in advance so I could enjoy the run up and not be worrying about coordinating everything! Luckily, I’d met Jess at an event before we were even engaged and so she was the first person I went to for this help. And I am SO glad we did! She goes above and beyond for you to make sure your day is special and runs smoothly. I’ll never forget that I’d planned to tie the tags onto our favours the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids, only to turn up and for them to have already been done by Jess and her team without even needing to have asked. We had drinks “tokens” to hand out to our evening guests and I went to ask Jess for these in the evening to hand them out, again to find that they’d taken care of it already. They were one step ahead always on the little details, and knowing there was someone we could go to on the day if needed (rather than people coming to me or the wedding party) was truly invaluable. After our wedding I asked my partner what’s the one “non negotiable” you’d recommend to other couples planning a wedding like ours and we both agreed that it would be Jess and her team. I know my sister is also recommending her to friends who are getting married soon too as she was equally impressed by her! Thank you Jess and team for helping to make our day so perfect, we genuinely couldn’t have done it without you!

Our daughter got married in June 2024 and we were very fortunate to have been recommended Jess by Kate from our marquee company (Special Event Tipis and Marquees). We had got quite far along the DIY planning route when I realised as MOB that I wanted to be able to enjoy the wedding day and the build up to it without being overwhelmed with everything. My husband was quite sceptical at first about why we needed a coordinator as we had everything booked. This was mainly because he hadn't quite grasped what was involved, but after meeting Jess he was onboard 110% and he, like the rest of us, thinks she is fantastic and money well spent. We engaged Jess for her 'on the day management' but this is truly much, much more than just 'on the day' management and is an absolute MUST if you are having a marquee wedding. She is an experienced professional who has a very calm approach to everything. She stepped in 6 weeks before the wedding and from then on we knew we were in safe hands. She gave us much needed advice on a whole host of things and made everything run smoothly. She expertly coordinated with all our suppliers - of which there were many and all of whom were brilliant! She and her team (hello & thank you to the other Jesses) came the day before the wedding and set up the marquee. We went along to give a hand, but she had everything covered. She even had a kettle & made us all a cuppa! They came to the church rehearsal and then went back to the marquee to continue with the set up which enabled me able to spend time with my daughter and our family and friends, stress free, the night before the wedding, which is something which I would not have been able to do without her being onboard. Unfortunately, the weather on the day wasn't great . After glorious sunshine the day before, in true Lake District style, it rained on the day. We were so confident and comfortable with Jess's advice that we trusted her to her to make the last minute decision if the drinks reception would be inside or outside. She, together with Fran from Holker Hall, managed this beautifully and our guests have said that they were quite pleased it rained as it enabled them to have a look around the beautiful Holker Hall. Jess and her team were very professional and at the same time warm and friendly and it genuinely comes across how much they love their work. We had the most fantastic & fun wedding party and all our guests have said that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. I do believe we had the dream team of suppliers. As a very indecisive and unorganised couple, we needed help so put our trust in Jess. Choosing Jess as our wedding planner was the best decision we ever made and enabled us to have the wedding of our dreams! Jess is so professional, organised and knowledgeable in every single department and we are so glad we hired Jess so early on in the planning. We chose July for a sunny outdoor wedding, in great British style the weather was against us. Moving to the barn wasn't initially what we'd have liked but it absolutely blew us away stunning both inside and out. The tractor and trailer to the marquee only added to the fun of the day and made one little boy very, very happy! Lindsay, Neil and the team couldn't have been more accommodating to our needs in the run up and throughout our wedding journey. Every staff member was outstanding but a special mention to Joanne our coordinator for the day who went above and beyond anything imaginable and special shout out to Amy who ran through soaked fields to help get the perfect photos, we can't wait to share them with you all. We recently held an amazing party here for 100 people. Lindsay was fantastic to work with from the start, nothing was too much trouble, she accommodated anything we asked for. The location is absolutely amazing with stunning views in all directions. The venue is so wonderful with loads of space for eating, drinking, chatting and of course dancing. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, not just to my wife and I but all the guests, it genuinely felt like they could not do enough for everyone to ensure we had a fantastic evening. All our guests commented on the location and service and what an amazing event the team had hosted. We would particularly shout out to Joanne for coordinating everything and Amy and Gill for looking after the bar and welcoming people. We got married here in June. It was the best day ever. Planning a wedding is stressful but Lindsay made us feel so well supported and at ease. Our day was simply the best! Nothing could have been better (except it lasting longer!) the team are fabulous. Everyone said it’s the best wedding they’ve been to and although we are biased, we have to agree. Stunning location…amazing staff….very very reasonable ..and we could have all our own choices re food/decorations/music etc. 5 stars is not enough!
