Alan is a wizard in the kitchen creating incredible dishes and flavours worthy of the top Michelin star restaurants…… but you don’t even have to leave home! We discovered him in Covid and have used him many times since. He is super organised, creative, hard working, friendly and a culinary genius. We have recommended him to many friends who are equally as impressed as we are. Book him in advance as he is always busy and in demand!!

I would highly recommend Day By Alan! My family and I had the perfect night. The food and service were spectacular and faultless, everything was dreamy! An extra bonus was that Alan and his team were so friendly and helpful not to mention the obvious that they are very talented. Another amazing dinner, prepared and cooked by Alan at a private house. He and his 2 staff were meticulous in their preparation and delivery of our menu, along with a few surprise extras (which were equally deliciously!). We arranged the wine flight through Alan too and that didn't disappoint either. No need to clean up afterwards as that is all taken care of by Alan and his team: kitchen left spic and span which allows you to simply sit back and enjoy the evening. Will definitely be booking again - thank you Alan, Lauren and Lulu.

I booked Alan to cook dinner for my 10 year anniversary after having him recommended to me by my sister in law. My husband and I have been lucky enough to visit some absolutely incredible Michelin star restaurants for various celebrations over the years and we really appreciate good food. After choosing the menu from Alan’s seasonal selection on his website, I was really excited for what he would prepare for us. I think it’s fair to say though that he surpassed our expectations on every course and every level. We were not only given the four courses I had chosen but we were also treated to canapés, snacks, a pre dessert and several other surprises during the night. Alan himself is a delight and kept us laughing and smiling throughout the evening as we talked through each course and swapped stories of the restaurants we’d all been to over the years. When we finished dinner, our kitchen was spotless (potentially even cleaner than when he arrived!). We even found ourselves already looking for any excuse to book Alan again! Absolutely excellent.

Lunch for 14 friends and family for my 60 birthday was a great event and enjoyed by all. Excellent food both in taste and presentation, from canapes through to dessert. Vegetarian and those allergic to shell fish fully catered for and didn't feel their food was lacking in anyway. We chose to pair the wine which complimented the food well. This is the second time Alan has cooked for us and our expectations were surpassed.
