My partner and I have just had our wedding here and it was amazing. Colin and Lou are amazing at what they do and the venue is a hidden gem. Nothing was too much trouble for them and our suppliers all got on really well with each other. We borrowed some of their in house props as well as purchasing our own which we have left for other lucky couples that chose to get married here. Colin and Lou are great at ushering people where they need to be, as well as helping behind the scenes with the tidying up etc. I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to get married. Colin and Lou are what make The Old Milking Parlour and will do anything to ensure you have the best day. Thank you very much!

I was lucky enough to be the best man for a wedding held here. The owners have got knowledge and understanding for just what was needed. If the weather was going to be awful we had a contingency and everything still went like clockwork. Even with a gloomy start to the day, the venue is still beautiful. Taking advantage of the stage for the ceremony with flowing white curtains dividing the seating from the rest of the parlour we set up the day before. The sound system is legendary and the bar area is just the right size to fit a handful of guests. Outside is a green haven with surrounding woodland and space for outdoor entertainment if you want it. I cannot recommend the old milking parlour enough. Call Lou or Colin and book your event.

I really can't speak highly enough of this amazing venue. Colin and Lou are so, so invested in their clients and go above and beyond to ensure their day is incredible. Having photographed a few weddings at this venue now I just can't recommend it enough. If you're looking for a relaxed, informal vibe surrounded by beautiful nature and you like to be well cared for, choose the Old Milking Parlour. I am so glad we chose to have our wedding at The Old Milking Parlour at Cavokay House!! Planning our wedding here with Lou and Colin felt like we were planning our wedding with friends who genuinely wanted us to have the best day we possibly could. They had great recommendations for suppliers (and we used the suppliers they recommended and they were all amazing). They obviously have great relationships with their recommended vendors and they all work together really well to create a really friendly stress-free atmosphere. The venue itself it’s absolutely beautiful, and lots of our guests commented on how gorgeous the setting was. We wanted to have a sustainable wedding as much as possible, and they have a whole storeroom of props and supplies you can use and we didn’t actually purchase any additional decorations. Colin is very knowledgeable on all the tecky sound stuff for the ceremony down in the woods and our band used all the equipment at the venue because the quality was top notch. Everything went so smoothly and I know it was because Lou and Colin made it that way! Communication was always great and Lou would check in with me often to make sure we were happy with everything.
