Really tasty food and helpful waiters that helped us choose as we had not eaten Nepalese food before. The Lamb dish was so tender the meat fell apart, and prawn dish was also so tasty.

Came here after a long hike and was pleasantly surprised that there was a Sunday buffet available. We had the lamb momo as a starter and then tried all the dishes from the buffet. All were really tasty although for personal taste I would have liked them to be a bit spicier. The service was professional and polite. Highly recommend it if you are in the area.

Very nice food at a reasonable price. There is quite a big menu giving ample choices for starters, main course and sides. It was busy when we were there and the staff were rushed off their feet showing how popular it is. As we are a party of 8, we booked in advance. I would recommend this place and will definitely be back to try some other dishes.

Really lovely restaurant. Went for buffet but you also have option to order separately from larger menu if you dont want to go for buffet option. The staff were excellent very nice and attentive and the food was delicious and very good value for money. They also give the most amazing prawn crackers as soon as you sit down. Restaurant also very clean. Highly recommend this place and would come back.

Food was really tasty and at a reasonable price too. The staff are very polite cheerful and helpful. We had small oreo milkshake and a chocolate milkshake. Chicken wings for starter and chicken burger and blue cheese burger.

This is a nice cosy little burger bar. Staff were pretty decent. Food came out in good time and nice and hot too. Prices were that of any burger bar really. Had a good time and would return.

Excellent food. Burgers were great. Very cute little town. Rustic feeling atmosphere. Would eat here again. Prices were a bit higher than most but well worth it.

Really nice restaurant and staff. Always enjoy the food and atmosphere when we eat in. Take away is also very good but whoever dishes up the portions of chips itās ridiculous how little you get. Tonight looks like two portions but the reality was it was one portion shared between two boxes. This has happened time and time again and weāve complained and reverts back to the same. So if you order take out ask for a full portion of chips. For a burger restaurant itās not cheap so youād expect a decent portion of chips.

Best Sunday Roast ever. Superbly presented and incredible tasty. Succulent meat and a real Yorkshire pudding. Great atmosphere and good service. Jack was especially welcoming and friendly. We been several times and thought it deserved a mention.

I ate here before it closed down but it wasn't great. Tomato soup was too sweet and the bread was hard. So I can't speak for the change. But the staff are brilliant.

What a beautiful setting for a drink/meal. It was lovely weather mind & the sunset was spectacular! We went for a drink which turned into a meal but was close to Closing the kitchen. The friendly staff accommodated us & we sat outside & had a beautifully cooked steak whilst taking in the lowering sun. Itās easy access for wheelchairs, large car park & thereās a very good sized garden for children to play in. They also allow dogs on leads. Would highly recommend this pub.

The menu offers a great variety of options, catering to all tastes, which makes it even more appealing. This place is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots

Love this place beyond measure - a real treat of therapeutic calm in a busy life and world. Staff are great. Newly arrived manager, Mandy, has patiently and efficiently sorted out a couple of recent techie booking blips. Keep up the excellent work everyone - it's much appreciated - Oxted is so lucky to have you

We came here for lunch, the staff were so welcoming and let us sit where we wanted to. We chose to sit near the beautiful open fire. The pub felt warm and friendly and was very pretty! We got served very quickly and the food was amazing! Highly recommend the homemade pie and fish and chips! The waitress even recommended the best pudding which we all chose the strawberry cheesecake and it was delicious š¤¤. We will be coming back very soon!

A lovely, spacious and bright pub with good tasting food at good prices. The fish and chips was a magnificent sight when it arrived, the fish was delicious and crispy but the chips could have been better, more crisp and perhaps a different type of potato for better texture. The grilled mackerel was tasty and well balanced and big in size. The staff were really lovely and kind with a top notch service. A perfect place for lunch or dinner if you're around the area hiking and want a charming place to relax.

We had Sunday lunch at the carpenters arms and it was amazing. The food was amazing, itās one of the best roasts Iāve had from a pub in a while. The variety of food was good in my opinion. The staff were great as well, there seemed to be a number of them always walking around looking after patrons. Itās a hidden gem that I look forward to going back to again.

We have our annual post Xmas celebration here every year with family who arenāt local to us and this is our midway meeting point . I have to say this year the welcome and service was better than ever . Because there were a lot of us they put us in the private dining area and were attentive throughout. Food was delicious and enjoyed by everyone The menu offers traditional pub grub like burgers and fish and Chips but also offers other tasty options like my cod loin on a spicy layer of beans. Can highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding and brownies too. Log fires warm and welcoming too..

Such a lovely venue, decor is authentic and it's a huge place with many different spaces including a secret garden. Would be fab for hosting an event. The menu had not been updated on the website so three of our party were disappointed that there was no banoffee pie. But not the end of the world. I ordered the bavette steak, medium rare. It came rare but I didn't want to interrupt the meal by sending it back. It was disappointing as not to my preference and the brandy peppercorn sauce seemed to be split, it wasn't thick instead watery. Flavour was fine. Service was also fine, little things like having to ask for steak knives detracted from the basic service that you would expect in an establishment like this. Mu sister had the hake which was quite a small portion. My dad had the fish pie which he enjoyed. Did like that they're dog friendly and recieved a warm welcome when we arrived. Staff were nice.

Really nice pub with good food. The service is friendly and the vibe inside is really nice with other pub goers seeming super friendly and chill. Lots of seating and tables. The food was good. Baked Camembert starter was delicious. The fish I had was really nice too with good flavours however it was just slightly overcooked for me (it wasnāt super overcooked or anything but it has been cooked a tiny bit longer than that just cooked point).the sauce the fish was in was also a little bit too salty for me. The pie and mash was really nice too.

A lovely quaint little pub in Oxted. The food was delicious and well presented. The atmosphere was great and the overall place had a warm, cosy feeling to it. All staff were polite and courteous. Our waitress Gillian was so lovely and an asset to the pub! Thank you for looking after us! We'll hopefully be back soon!

First time visit 25/01 to the Old Bell Oxted eating from the Burns Night Menu. The pub is easy to find and plenty of parking available. Really pleased with the food, came out quick and hot, 4 courses for £28 was a bargain! Unfortunately for a Saturday night only a few of us in the pub, hence scoring 3/5 for atmosphere. But great welcome and service from Gillian. We had a lovely meal and would visit again.

A Superb Evening at The Old Bell for Burns Night, we had Gillian as our waitress and she was very friendly, attentive and professional. Tonight at The Old Bell was nothing short of exceptional. The atmosphere was warm and festive, a perfect setting to celebrate Burns Night. The menu was a delight, showcasing thoughtful and delicious dishes that truly honored the occasion. To start, I had the crab and avocado, which was a refreshing and beautifully balanced dish. The sweetness of the crab paired wonderfully with the creamy avocado ā light yet indulgent. For the main course, I couldnāt resist the classic haggis, neeps, and tatties. It was everything youād hope for on Burns Night ā rich, flavorful, and comforting, with each element cooked to perfection. To finish, I chose the Balmoral chicken, which was simply divine. The chicken was tender and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the whisky sauce. Every bite was a celebration of Scottish tradition. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the overall ambiance was lively yet cozy, creating a memorable experience. The Old Bell truly excelled in capturing the spirit of Burns Night. Iāll definitely be back!
